Handy to city.
a bit loud at night but the breakfast was amazing and the service was too :)
Nice comfortable room. Pretty quiet at night which was good. Old style wardrobes match the vibe. Cool light in the foyer.
Staff super friendly and helpful. The room clean and well appointed. We travelled with a dog and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Clean pool and spa area. Will definitely stay here again. Staff really made the experience enjoyable.
Room was good, no pay per view TV, the shower was a bit tricky to get hot water but bathroom was clean. The bed was large which was comfortable! The spa was out of order, pool was clean not certain about paying $10 to reserve a carpark- there were a few on site parks which are first in best dressed! Enough parking around the place if you are staying a Sunday uncertain about the other days! The staff were pleasant and helpful- have to walk up the stairs to your room which is documented when you book!
A very unfortunate experience. Disappointed they did not accept our reservation through booking.com even though it was confirmed. Got there before check-in ended but security told us they weren't taking more bookings due to public holiday. We had driven in from Sydney with two toddlers and a baby in tow. Got a refund , but had the stress of then looking at alternative accommodation in the evening. In future, please communicate with booking.com if you can't accommodate people, no matter what the circumstances.
Central location, clean, comfortable, friendly helpful staff, nice dining area with prompt value for money breakfast. Excellent value. Parking is easy and it is in walking distance to many food places, or the bus to easily go into the city.
Have been staying at Adelaide Inn for many years. Rooms are excellent, staff are great, being able to reserve a carpark makes everything very easy. Walking distance to many restaurants, Adelaide Oval and a 5 minute bus ride into the city.|Great place to stay.
Thankyou the staff were friendly and helpful breakfast was great and the pool snd spa area was great , room was more than expected clean and tidy (all you need ) location to all O’Connell st was fantastic and all you need in walking distance, could’ve spent all day just by the pool and then out for tea at night |Many thanks Steve and Leonie
Nice place A little bit dated but very clean and very helpful staff Will definitely use this hotel if I go back to Adelaide again
This is the second new years eve we have stayed here. And will definitely stay again. Staff are very friendly, rooms are very clean and include free breakfast with both our stays and the pancakes and cappuccino are the best, great location close to the city .
A gorgeous little boutique inn right in the heart of North Adelaide. The rooms were immaculate and well maintained and staff couldn’t have been any friendlier. You can spend a fortune on other hotels, trust me I have, but nothing compares to the charm and character of this place, especially considering how close it is to Adelaide Oval. There are countless scrumptious restaurants in walking distance, I recommend Cafe Palazzo. This will be the only place I stay in Adelaide from now on.
Fantastic service, the staff were friendly and had great conversation with them. We pre booked and payed for an apartment and when we got here to Adelaide we were an able to get in as we were given wrong lock key info. Lucky for us we were able to get a room here. We come from Geelong every 4 years and we will definitely stay again. Thanx to the front desk gentleman ur the best
Fantastic place to stay, easy. Very friendly staff
The staff are amazing and go out of thier way to make the stay great. This is the second time we've stayed with them and this is the only hotel we will stay in on future trips to Adelaide. |The breakfast is great! It is close to public transport as well as shops and restaurants. |The Adelaide Inn is a hidden gem! Our home away from home.
Old style decor, but still very comfortable and clean. Shower was great, although over the bath, so not suitable for everyone. Air Con worked well. |The only fault we found was the light coming in from under the door when we slept. However, we did manage to quell this by rolling up a towel and putting it along the bottom of the door. Also, the bathroom door was a bit temperamental to keep closed. |Overall a pleasant experience though.
The Inn is in an excellent location - walk to everything and surprisingly quiet at night. Comfortable beds and all amenities you would expect in the rooms and very helpful front desk staff. Totally recommend and will definitely stay again when in the area.
A 'good enough ' hotel for a short work stop. The rooms are large and clean, but really starting to show their age. The lack of a hot breakfast option is also disappointing. That said, location is great, and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.
A great find when looking through all the accommodation places. Clean, friendly staff. Central location, loads to see and places to eat. Fresh rooms and good shower. Will be back.
Stayed 4 days great location, shopping, Zoo and a 24 hour Bakery with great food. Zoo 1.6km away 900 metres from Adelaide oval.
Easy location to find and rooms are comfortable for the price.
We only stayed one night this time , staff allways friendly
Pet-friendly! Great location!
Ideal location to stay and good accessibility. The coffee is nice as well
I only stayed for one night but I would recommend bringing Earplugs! I was in one of the rooms facing the main road and I didn't get any sleep at all from the sound of traffic. There was a lot of noise from early on the morning throughout the hotel too...slamming doors, people talking loudly etc The room was okay if not dated. It was clean and check in/out was seamless.
Made a last minute booking for my son who had driven from Sydney to Adelaide. They were so helpful, even though he was arriving after the office had closed. He very much appreciated the ease of check-in, the good location and the comfortable, quiet room.
Older style hotel, but lovely. Was there in business. The rooms are quite spacious and the heater works well. Showers take a bit of time to heat up but nothing to complain about . Great location for eating out, many restaurants to choose from . Definitely look forward to staying there again.
Old style hotel. Very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful. North Adelaide has an amazing choice of places to eat and drink. Suits me very well
The Adelaide Inn in O’Connell Street in Adelaide would get 11/10 from me if I could rank it up there, stayed here AGAIN overnight in May 2024, I just keep coming back I adore this Motel I find its location very central a walk distance to anywhere you need entertainment, good food, a great view, awesome staff, great locality you name it the Adelaide Inn has it, the rooms are 5⭐️, service is very welcoming, its rooms are convenient and quiet, YES it’s a 5⭐️ from me
Great place to stay with plenty of eateries in the area. Rooms are a little retro but clean and very spacious. Very happy with the overall choice. Only issue you need to decide is whether you need parking because parking is limited and is an assigned pays only. When booking make sure that you book a parking space if you are going to be taking your car.
There were some good points, notably the friendly and excellent staff at breakfast who were awesome despite it being very busy. The hotel facilities are okay for the price, if a bit dated, and staying at this hotel when it is less busy could be okay. However, we stayed over Easter weekend and the hotel was rammed with large and noisy groups who treated the hotel like it was their own home (or worse). It was very loud pretty much all the time from 7am in the morning until 11pm - by far the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. The hotel staff seemed unable, unwilling and uninterested in doing anything about it. The hotel might respond by saying that this was the fault of the groups and not their own, but ultimately the hotel holds the responsibility for making sure that ALL guests can enjoy quiet occupancy of their rooms, and we did not get that at all. Also, we paid $10 per day for a reserved parking spot, but this was a total farce since guests just parked wherever they want. To the hotel's credit, they did reimburse me for parking when I told them I could only park in my assigned spot for one night out of four. All in all, an awful experience.
Shelby n I loved it
Great location. Good nights sleep. Enjoyed the breakfast. Was able to book a room on short notice. Reasonable price for room.
First impression, Old deco style when you enter the lobby, a step back in time to a world of grandeur. It reminded me of the 1940s and 50s, bus boys and doormen. Derek, the young man who checked us in, was fabulous, welcoming, very efficient, and friendly. Had a great sense of humour, too. Our room was very clean and very comfortable, some of the decor was a little dated but didn't impact the stay. Perfect location smack in the middle of North Adelaide. With cafes, restaurants, and walking trail parks all in a close few minutes walk. You also have the option to order breakfast, paid parking, a heated pool, spa, and much more. A must stay on a visit to Adelaide ♥️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and great location.
Agréable séjour. Les chambres sont top. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux. Je recommande 👍🏼
Well I must say, the rooms are very old, dusty and out dated. Old furniture like you see in a hold flat or unit. Air conditioning isn't the best, breakfast is very low quality. At night you can hear loud banging noises in the hall way, something relating to Paranormal activity I'd say. Will I stay here again hmmmm probably not.
The checkout time is very early 10:00 am I have visited many time here as I am a member I asked for two hour late checkout the hotel manager not approved and her behavior was not appropriate, as all the hotels offer late checkout for thier members, and also service is not good not regular cleaning and evry thing you should ask reception, otherwise never any one clean your room
Good location and great reception.
Lovely rooms and lovely staff especially when I had needs.
Booked the pet friendly room and been advised they can’t accomodate me since I travel with pet. I thought it must be dates so I changed my travel dates but still they refused. When I cancel they immediately took the entire cost as cancellation fee and refuse to give any explanation Day time robbers
Location is great, but the showers were terrible, no sink or oven. Heard loud noises outside our room at night
Great Motel with very Friendly Staff. Comfortable Rooms. Great Location and Great Facilities... Wifi seems a little unstable and wish the Pool area was open during the night or even just open a few hours longer....
We stayed as a major group booking at the Adelaide Inn. The service was outstanding, and very reasonably priced accommodation in a beautiful spot in North Adelaide. Our flight was delayed due to storms, and the staff were very easy-going and made a plan to allow us to stay in our hotel rooms until the afternoon with no extra charge. They were also happy to help us out with an extra night if we needed it. We will certainly be going back to the Adelaide Inn for our yearly trip for a work event every November.
Great Haven in a great city💥
Full of '80s character, do not expect a modern hotel, maybe slightly tired but clean, functional and well located at a sensible price.
Nice location in North Adelaide close to city busy road but still nice place to stay. Cosy room. Planes fly right over hotel as well.
We ordered a courtyard room. Was told on arrival that they didn't have a courtyard room available for us
Good place (just behind restaurants, bars, supermarket, gas station,..). There is a free parking in front of the hotel. The room was clean, huge and confortable. The breakfast was great.
Love this place discovered it by accident, you don't have to go far to find something to eat for dinner, plenty of cafes and restaurants on either side of the road from burgers to Italian to Indian
Location is great, Staff are great, unfortunately prices of rooms have increased dramatically and now you even have to pay for parking. Have stayed here many times but not anymore
we stay here often, friendly service, comfortable rooms and great food
Great experience
Nice place and the breakfast lady is awesome thank you cya again soon !
Very dated shabby rooms, certainly not great value for the price we paid. It was a cold night but the old heater sounded like a helicopter so we ended up turning it off and dealt with the cold. Not a good nights sleep at all. We paid an extra $10 for a reserved car park, but there were plenty of spare parks (the free ones) so we need not have. Very disappointing stay.
Comfortable bed, nice room. Great service. Excellent location.
The room was spacious and the location excellent. We were particularly impressed that the coeliac in the family could get gluten free toast for breakfast, thanks to the very helpful staff.
2 many issues to write here.... But parking isn't free unless your the 1st lucky 7 to get the spot then its $10 per day .. I WONT BE BACK ...
Out dated
My partner and I stayed in the Adelaide Inn, North Adelaide for 6 nights between1-6 March inclusive. What a fantastic location this is with restaurants nearby and a wickedly good bakery that is open 23/7. Our room was very comfortable, the front of house staff especially Ian and Kami were extremely helpful and the whole experience really made our visit to Adelaide. We had travelled over from Sydney to attend some performances at the Adelaide Fringe. We were also able to have our labradoodle with us which was an added bonus. We will return!
Our family had the worst experience here, there all rude would never stay here again!!
Very ordinary experience, reception staff rude.
環境不錯 只是买了停車位 回到时 发现女工做人員把车放在我們位置 还很有理的 不當一回事 麻烦更进服务态度
We chose for our parents to stay at the Adelaide Inn over Christmas. We paid top dollar for the occasion , and was promised they would have a wonderful stay there. However the room they were booked into was not available once they arrived. And now several weeks later I have recieved a phone call saying they are following up payment. After checking my bank statements which clearly show all monies have been paid. I Called the receptionist back and was greeted with a hostile responce and then bruptly disconnected. I would not recommend to anyone to visit or stay at the Adelaide Inn, on O'Connell Street Nth Adelaide I give them 1 star out of 5, and that star is only for their locatin. Very disappointed
Pretty good
Great location with awesome local dining available👌🏾
.we had a 4 night stay at the hotel , friendly staff , from the reception to the cafeteria girls /room attendants . we had a pet with us not knowing our room wasn't allocated for guest with pets ,but the Asian guy on the reception fixed it up no problem . the hotel is close proximity to shops and restaurant and were spoiled with choices, breakfast was included for our stay and the barista did a good job making our coffee every morning .my only gripe is the air conditioning inside ,somehow not adequate enough for a day of 40 degrees temperature outside .if you taking a pet with you , there's a dog park 10 minutes' walk from the Inn. overall we had a great experience with Adelaide Inn
I have booked 2 rooms for 2 night including New Year’s Eve for more than $1000.. I am writing this review after going through a complete disaster in my Adelaide trip plan coming from Melbourne caused because of the inhuman customer services… They cancelled our booking 2 hours before check in saying you have not made a late check in arrangements and also I have clearly explained them my daughter was not feeling well during the drive that’s the reason we have pulled over the car.. the customer service was saying we have to fill up a form and send all our credit card information but I have informed them I am in a mid of country road where i barely get signal.. but she straight away said that’s not her problem if I didn’t send the form she is going to cancel our room and not even given 30 min time she straight away cancelled our room even though I have explained my situation about my daughter… really at that time I was standing in mid of the road with my family and friends don’t know what to do.. this incident even made me to think how brutal a human can behave to another, even this affected me mentally.. additional note my friend even try to convince them to the core but still she have given insulting reply..still I am wondering how a person from a hospitality team can speak like that..if there is a negative star definitely I would have given that..
We recently stayed with Adelaide Inn for what was my first visit to South Australia in three years. While the parking was ample and the location - great, the overall maintenance of our room was not. We were mindful to keep it tidy, however, the staff failed to change the bedding, vacuum, or empty the bin. We had left a sign on the door asking for room service and were told it would be done, but saw that very little (if anything) had been. The breakfast choices, albeit continental, could have also been better; it felt rather limited. So all in all, the stay was a pleasant one, however, there are some improvements that could be made. Thank you for having us, I wish you the best of luck.
Great service, no issues with changing our room. Lovely, helpful staff and management.
The receptionist was so friendly and inviting. Room was clean and amples of clothes space for longer stays. Only thing that would be nice is to have wine glasses Available in the rooms. All In all good location and good price
Room clean, bed comfy. Breakfast that was included was very dissapointing
Our room was huge and comfortable. Great location right on O’Connell Street, walking distance to all the great restaurants and pubs in the North Adelaide precinct. Ample on site parking space. Rodney
Bree at front reception was so lovely and welcoming. The hotel is very clean. Pool is lovely too. Feels like home away from home. The location is perfect, and car parking is helpful.
Very well priced and appointed hotel with fantastic service
Fresh, clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly
Clean room good bed
So the cheapest room we got could have had better ventilation, but good bed and ample space for 2. Ian the manager is just too good. You got breakfast, sauna, spa great location, all in all good place to stay.
Nice location with spacious clean and well appointed room. However reception hours limited to 8 to 8 and breakfast choice limited
