For an authentic Afghan food experience!
The most amazing Afghan food in Melbourne, service is amazing, food is amazing, best Afghan food you will ever eat…
The food was exceptional but don’t be in a hurry to eat because it looked like only the lady that owned the restaurant was cooking the food. The young man at the front desk was very unobliging he had his headphones on the whole time and wouldn’t make any contact or comments we had to keep asking him for everything which we got no response on but if you want a good feed this is the place to go don’t expect any service
Quality food. Great service. Love the ambience. Well priced.
The food was amazing and so was the service, I definitely would recommend eating there
Food was really good. Loved it.
هتل تان نام خدا بسيار مقبول و تميز است به نظرم نامش را از افغان عوض كنيد بهتر خواهد بود مثلا ( كاتب هزاره رستورانت ) . بركت در بزنيز تان
outstanding food service was great but the biryani was even better very good cooking very good service very comfortable furniture
My friend and myself saw the pretty lights and decided on Afghan for dinner, could not find the entrance as there was no sign pointing to go up or clarity from the street. Go through a smaller entrance and walk up to the smell of beautiful cooking. We waited with nobody around, no customers no waiters, finally we felt like we were sneaking around when a young man with headphones and a puffer jacket said. “Hello.” We did not know what to say, had to ask to be seated, and he pointed. “Anywhere.” Had to hold back laughter. Food took a long time and overpriced, it’s yummy but no vegan selections or care factor from the waiter to help out with the menu. Had to turn on the lights in the toliet and the sinks need TLC, I think there’s even toothpaste spat on the basin. They also need starter food, the dips and the bread would have been nice as we waited nearly an hour for our food, luckily we can entertain ourselves but this is a paid service with nothing nice besides the furniture. Also music, we could only hear ourselves, will not be back.
Friendly staff great service awesome food
Delicious Afghan polao, fresh kebabs, co-operative customer care. We loved our family dinner here :)
5 stars for the ambience, but have to agree about the wait times, food and customer service with the other low reviews. The food took quite a while to come, the skewers were great but the rice was undercooked. The receptionist is just a kid, who is not interested in working there, hence he won't be very helpful or hospitable. Which shouldn't be a customer's concern. The place is good for small events like birthdays or engagement parties. Quite decorated. It's a family business, where a generally a lady is handling everything single handedly. So 1 extra star for that.
We went to Afghan Pamir Restaurant Last Night with entire family , Under the new management i would love to mention that afghan Pamir is one of Melbourne's most recommended restaurant to enjoy the delicious food and hospitality , don'tforget to try the delicious namkeen roast and Daal with BBQ , highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely wonderful food and friendly staff. Banquet was more than enough for 6 people to leave very satisfied. 😊
Went to this restaurant to try for the first time had high hopes but was very disappointed. The restaurant was completely empty, food prices were not worth it, customer service was poor. The young guy sitting at the front was on his phone the entire time we were there and was unhelpful and would talk so much time to just get a simple thing. The food took ages to come even though we were the only ones there. Food was not even hot it was lukewarm, seamed like it was microwaved as it did not taste fresh at all. The green tea was very nice and enjoyed it. Overall do not recommend going to this Afghan restaurant
The food is delicious and also the service is outstanding
Food was delicious nice atmosphere and very friendly staff
Food was fresh and very tasty!
Really good borani banjan 🙂
Microwaved food and charging these rates, you should be ashamed. 2 hours for terrible food and service. Not recommended at all.
Super friendly staff and great food
The service was so good, the l owner of the restaurant is so lovely. Me and my all family and friends love it to come to this restaurant again and again . I will invites all my Afghan community to come to visit this restaurant , and enjoy the delicious and authentic food you will be love it. Once you come you wanted to come again and again.
The owner is very humble and offered us the best she could. The food tastes so good. The price is a bit high comparing the portion. The rice is complement from the owner.
Had a lovely experience visiting Pamir today. Save yourself the time choosing meals, and go with the banquet - everything was delicious, generous, and just really tasty. The lovely owner visited with guests and brought more dip when we finished what we had. Very kind, and just great tasting food.
Customer service was not friendly and welcoming , very bad smell, as you enter there are very bad smell
Afghan and Uzbek flavours in the heart of Dandenong city. Just around the corner from Afghan bazaar you will find this traditional classy and some what grand looking Afghan Pamir restaurant. Great place to share a group meal and enjoy catching up with friends and family. Our group had the whole restaurant for the night as it was very quiet and we shared banquet number 2 with Uzbek Pellow lamb biriyani rice, chicken and lamb kebabs skewers for $47 per person. Friendly staff and great service worth a visit.
Great food and beautiful place to have your food

Incredible food! Cannot still get over it. Possibly one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne

The Best Food.
Meet the lovely, friendly and generous owners of this place 🤩
I recently had the displeasure of dining at Pamir’s Uzbek Cuisine for Mother’s Day, and I must say it was a complete disaster. My family and I waited for over two hours after placing our order, only to receive a small yet overpriced teapot to share with the family. To make matters worse, every single customer who arrived after us seemed to have their meals served promptly, while we were left starving and frustrated. The service was outrageously slow and disorganized, showing a complete lack of respect for their customers' time and satisfaction. It was an incredibly disappointing experience that left a sour taste in our mouths. The lack of communication and transparency was frustrating beyond belief. It felt as if we were completely forgotten and disregarded. When we finally decided to leave after not getting the food we ordered, we paid for the outrageously priced tea we received, however at the counter, the waiter showed no remorse and didn't even bother to offer an apology or explanation for the abysmal service we endured.
Waiting for 1 and half hours for food to come. If you want to be tortured come here. The young male at reception is rudest person I have ever seen.
Disgusting food, very rude lady to serve food, and we paid $150 for take away which will only feed 2 ppl instead of 9. We been there many times it was always ok but this time that old ladies was horrible to deal with, and such a ripped off.
Best customer service and delicious food
Great food and friendly owner.
I enjoyed this place hosting a small wedding recently. Such a wonderful place to have a function for around 120 people. Venue is clean and management is friendly. Food was nice too. There is a small dance floor with overhead lights. There is a PA sound system available. Such a hidden gem in the heart of Dandenong. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a small venue for a birthday party or a wedding.
Came to this restaurant with my family and had the worst experience. The food was old and reheated. To all seeing this review l DO NOT recommend this place absolutely not. The prices are SKY high.
Fantastic service. Fantastic food. The only thing I suggested to the owner was to get a bigger front door. Small entry door. Didn't even know it was there until I searched restaurants in Dandenong. Walk up 3 flights of stairs BUT the restaurant inside is huge. Like a Dr WHO Tardis. But it was 5 stars. If I can find the entry door again, definitely going back for more
My husband and I LOVE it here. We have been coming for years but unfortunately moved to the west side a few years back but whenever we are down in Dandenong we always try to come get food from here. The food is always fresh and delicious and portion sizes are plentiful. We always get a banquet and always leave with our bellies happy and full. Definitely a great price for a feast! If you live in Dandenong or nearby then definitely come try Pamir and I highly suggest to eat in and experience Uzbekistan culture and food.
Best cuisine ever 😍😍😍
Worse restaurant in town ever seen. I don't recommend this restaurant. Bed management, testless food and on the top of this very expensive.
Not a good service at all ,mixed up the orders and food was the worse no taste at all
Delicious Uzbek and Afghani food!
Excellent service, great food, definitely recommend, nice and peaceful setup. Gluten free options
The food quality was the worst ever, ordered Mantu, what was in menu description, wasn't at all. Hope there was zero start to give, but unfortunately we don't have that option
Expensive
Great food: solid kebab, uzbek and kazakh food. A bit expensive, but would still recommend to come here for dinner. Staff is really nice.
Never order Kabuli Palaw, the worst Kabuli Palaw I ever had.
Excellent service, amazing.
Cosi, relaxing and Nice food
Awful experience food was not fresh maybe couples of days old and the price was sky touching. I went with my family and ordered 4 dishes but all was awful and didn’t eat anything but still they changed me full. I know this restaurant for many years used to be very good when run by an old Afghani man but now under some new management
Very Yummy food and generous servings. Very middle Eastern decor, ( Something different ), very Clean and friendly service….
Very good 👍
Food is quite expensive but the hotel decoration is gorgeous.
Lovely place with good, welcoming atmosphere and tasty uzbek food! I enjoyed the music and a bit of dancing there as well!
Best food in Dandenong
Nice family friendly restaurant, food was good, excellent vegetarian options!
The family meal to take away way has so much flavour and variety. Had no idea what to expect and it was all delicious delicious delicious!
It's not the same anymore. The restaurant was freezing cold and owner didn't even turn the heater on even after we asked for it. Kebabs were ok but biryani was absolutely tasteless! Don't think we'll be back.
Had uzbekistan food for the 1st time and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place
