Love the henley bar staff

Everything was great. Used the pub+ to get 3p% off 👍👍👍

The menu is quite boring . Ended up getting a parmi with pepper sauce . Not great . Frozen chips Sugo had not taste ( quite watery ) Pepper powder slime sauce Tired salad drizzled with bottle dressing All of this for $ 35 And of course as it’s a pub ,so, no table service . Sorry but I can not explain this price rationally.

We came here on Saturday 8/2 for a family lunch and were extremely disappointed, especially with the customer service. The staff member who took our order seemed completely disinterested and still got it wrong, even after we repeated it three times. On top of that, we were overcharged. While we were already seated and had started eating—waiting for one of our meals to be corrected—a staff member came over and asked us to leave the table because it was reserved in 10 minutes. They claimed they hadn’t had the chance to put up a reservation sign, even though they had been chatting behind the bar for ages. We also ordered drinks, but no one informed us they would be delivered to the table. We had to go back to the bar and remind the manager about them. The food was okay, but definitely not worth $35 for a schnitzel parmigiana. There’s a lot of room for improvement in customer service—very disappointing experience.

Came in on the 15/02/2025 at 7:30pm. Was told kitchen shuts at 8pm so we have to order quick. We all comply and from that moment on the service from all staff is disgusting.A worker named Nick (presumably the manager) absolutely atrocious. Waited a further 1hr 30min for food when there was about 30 people in the entire restaurant. If I owned this pub I would fire all staff and start again. Waste of oxygen the lot of them.

The staff are rude, they take over an hour to cook your food and didn't inform us before we ordered. And said we have no reservation before working out we did. Total disappointment

My wife and I thought we would have a lovely valentines lunch but it turned out to be a disaster. I was served my meal and I had finished it before my wife was served with hers and this was after asking what was happening. And to add to this we ordered dessert only again after waiting an extensive amount of time we had to remind a waitress of our order. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The food was delicious but be mindful of the times you go. Waiter got our order wrong, it happens not to upset over that. however, it was busy and loud. Ruined the experience.

Ordered Caesar salad without Anchovies and it came with anchovies and was also told after the dressing had anchovies in it too. Complained and only offered a replacement meal of the same. I think money back or free drink would have been appropriate.

Wanted to give the Henley Beach hotel a try after driving past numerous times and admiring the outlook. Had the Salt & Pepper squid and Seafood Basket. What a disappointment! S&P squid was inedible, with no flavour and a lingering oily mouthfeel. I was hard pressed to find any level of salt or pepper. The best part of the plate was the side salad with vinegarette to cut through the oil. Apparently the seafood basket had the same oilyness and lack of flavour. Should have taken note when we walked in and dropped the median age of the clientele by 20yrs. Staff didn't seemed bothered by the feedback with no effort of resolution. Disappointed and will not return.

I wish I could say the food was excellent but unfortunately it was tasteless definitely not worth $35.00 per plate Service was good The view of the beach was nice Unfortunately I will not be going back

The kitchen is mediocre. Selection is low and the cooking is poor. When you order battered fish you don't expect that much oil.

Food misleading says whole barramundi and you get a part fillet. Ask for gluten free for celiac. Came with croutons,sent it back the just transfered the fish onto another salad. So I still can't eat it because possible cross contamination had to explain that one, transferred crumb can make me very ill. The pie peas and mash potato for my partner .... Mrs Mac pie with some mash and a heaped tablespoon of mush peas. Expensive for what you get. Not real happy

A sweet summer spot with a beautiful sea view. I recommend the arancini. The fish and chips were a bit heavy, and the beer tasted thin.

Great beef schnitzel. By contrast, someone else had our table had the garlic prawns and they were very average.

The food here was so good and the venue quiet and unassuming - albeit with amazing views!! Had the beef parmy and the filet Mignon, both delicious.

We had a lovely Christmas lunch, the staff were fantastic. The only issue we had is our table was close to the bar and everyone lines up right next to your table whilst you’re trying to chat & enjoy your meal. There was quite a line up as there was only one guy behind the bar initially.

Henley Beach Hotel Fabulous xmas day lunch , friendly staff were attentive. Lovely menu with choices for everyone. Food plentiful and delicious .Catered perfectly for children as well as adults.Took the stress out of xmas day at home

Always seems to be a tad unfriendly as if you are bothering them. It's a Woolies pub, which maybe the case. Privately owned pubs are stronger on customer service. Nonetheless the $18 Parmi and pint deal in the front bar is sensational value.

This is a great beach if you're into sand and oceans. Cafe and toilet nearby, parking challenging on weekends and hot evenings

This is a great family pub and highly recommend! The staff are fantastic, friendly and very professional. They witnessed our family being harrased by another patron and responded very well. Can't thank the team enough.

Manager in pokie room 20 March 24 was less accommodating in regards to not have pokie area cleaned for 3 hours were my friend was playing spending a total of $1,400 and not offered a drink to my mate and having bad attitude with bar service the manger the saying she is too busy but can go for smoke breaks every 30 minutes and they was about people 4 people in pokie room but was way too busy to get someone to clean or make a coffee for my friend, what a lazy person the Manger is work at the Henley.

Great food value and bar service is excellent.

This has been my SA local for 2 years. How could I not be wrapped... the beach across the road, staff seem to love working here as they're without exception, cheerful welcoming and efficient so I feel good whenever I visit. Beer is cold and fresh, meals look fantastic but I'm an ale dweller mostly so can only say it's a hugely popular dining room so taste must match. It's just got the ambience of the best beach pubs you could visit. What else could one ask for??

Great location and good food. The bistro staff seems to be least interested to serve anyone.

Shame on this business that does not allow well behaved dogs in the outdoor area. Move with the times. Many people have companion/therapy dogs. Your outdated rules are not good.

Used to have great quality food. Menus have changed offering very little variety or options and isn't cheap. I have been let down with poorly made salmon 3 times. 3 strikes and your out. Not happy nor returning back to this restaurant

Can’t thank the staff (Emily) enough for making our lunch with the children so smooth and easy. Your flexibility with the kids meals and genuine kindness made our visit to Adelaide that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Pub is declining rapidly with customer service and value for money and stingy with alcohol

The staff where nice friendly and helpful with a pretty good atmosphere. I can definitely recommend the food here it was clean fresh and full of flavour. I'd definitely pop in again when I'm back down in Adelaide

Staff were rude we were seating outside on resturant and asked one of female staff to put curtain down beacuse it was windy she ignored 3 times then we have to seat inside we have 2year old chid and old citizen with us it was very disappointing

WOWEE !!!!! What a fantastic joint,a old country pub atmosphere right on the the beach. If you're looking for a good time and a great feed all washed down with the coldest beer this side of the black stump. You found it,at Henley beach hotel. Sam the Man rocks the casbah And Sarah pouring mean frothys just does it for me. It has the tote and gaming for good measure and a great pool table. Our home away from home Cheers to all. Nice venue for a meal with friends. Menu offers plenty of delicious options and a slight view of the beach is nice. Customer service was okay but could be better. Will visit again in the future.

I regularly head down to the Henly to enjoy a couple of pints and a meal. Usually very good but the last 2 visits were spoiled by a young arrogant barman who has no respect for the patrons. Our previous visit was met with a miserable young man who showed no respect and was extremely unhelpful. Tonight was the cherry on top. I ordered a pint and parmigiana and when I went to get the pint he argued that he had delivered it earlier when in fact he had delivered an order from my mate who had placed his order 10 mins before I placed my order. He was adamant and extremely rude. I felt very uncomfortable in a pub that I considered my local. I will no longer spend my hard earned $ when he is on duty!? What a shame aferter spending at least 3 nights a week at the Henly. Rammy, here we come!!!

If going for lunch pre booked. It was a great day with weather, lunch & service great.
