The prices have gotten ridiculous for a hotel! Cost $20 for a glass of Wynns the Gables cab Sav. That bottle retails for approx $25. The food is good but overpriced too. Nice place to go but shame they are charging so much!

Located at 57 Woodhouse Drive, Ambarvale, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This was a nice little place to come to for a delicious lunch at a reasonable price. The design of the hotel is lovely, the staff were helpful and friendly. Willing to help and nothing too much trouble. My meal was very nice, I had the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious 😋. My group included people in wheelchairs and other disabilities and we were well looked after by the staff. The hotel is so beautifully designed, very welcoming and relaxing. Would recommend with no problems. Thumbs Up! 👍👍👍

Very pretty and spacious outdoor area. The playground is nice, big and has various different types of equipment for the kids. We had a 1st birthday here and it's perfect for a function. Food was tasty and came out without delays. Drinks were colourful just as I wanted them and they stored the cake until we needed it. Highly recommended for any function you may need. Jo, the manager was very accommodating and offered a great service. Would definitely come back here for a function or even a family dinner.

Food was delicious, cocktails were good too. The outside play area is awesome for kids over about 4 and the inside is great for smaller children.

Honestly, we didn’t expect much as we arrived half an hour before the kitchen closed (wasn’t disclosed when booking unfortunately) but the food was nothing short of delicious! We also loved The Gardens area which was so nice and ideal for a big party with kids.

Good family atmosphere but for a table of 12...we all ordered at same time food took forever abd our buzzer wasn't working so our food sat on the counter and was cold by the time we went looking. Pork belly was like boot rubber... Hubby's seafood basket was cold and greasy...the Thai fish cakes were bouncier than a ball...inedible... we had high expectations the only one who thoroughly enjoyed their meal was the who had the prawn salad

Food quality and portion sizing seems to have gone downhill since around mid 2023. Kicking off with the thursday wings special more than doubling in price & subsequent removal a few weeks later followed by food portions visibly shrinking (not to mention certain foods quality going downhill - mash potato I'm looking at you specifically), this is no longer a venue I frequent for a thursday/friday night dinner & if this trend continues will definitely be attending even less so. Special mention to the mass exodus of friendly staff that were around in the first half of 2023 who have all left.

First time visiting Ambervale Hotel. As a craft beer tourist with @ 20 variatiins in my home fridge I was pretty pumped for the range of craft beer. However... they only have them listed on a vertical TV that cycled through to quickly to read. No printed menu and rhen it stopped working. When I asked the bartender about this it seemed to piss him off. Copped an attitude from him. Certainly reflected in the pour, 20% head. Otherwise seemed like a great place, it's not local for us tho. Won't be making the trip unfortunately.

Absolutely amazing !! Very attentive in both correspondence in the lead up and on day of the function. From area changes to needing extra food nothing was too hard and everything was catered too with a smile and made the day flow with no pauses or dramas. This is our second function at Ambarvale and I 100% will recommend them to everyone. Jo is amazing at what she does and you can see the passion she has for making functions perfect shines through her work. Thank you Jo and team. I appreciate all the effort put into to making our functions simply amazing

Horrific service, prices are laughable. Leumeah pub does more and is cheaper. Bistro opens at 11am at leumeah. Ambarvale don't open till 5pm. Happy hour is a joke compared to leumeah. $8 at ambarvale, $4.50 at leumeah. Nothing but money hungry. Couldn't even get a takeaways container

Excellent food, drinks and fantastic staff

We have already provided feedback to the manager at the time. The service was good,. They set up the fire at the garden area for us when we requested it. But food below average, not that good at all. We ordered 3 plates of ribs with chips, one in a platter. In all of them ribs & the chicken wings were dry and cold. Portions have been reduced. The burger from the kids meal was dry and tasteless.

Very spacious venue with plenty of seating, and we opted for the garden area to celebrate our friend's birthday. While the process of ordering and collecting food from the front was a bit inconvenient, the quality of the food made up for it. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience.

On sat 31st Aug we celebrated a 21st at this venue. From the security guy been helpful to the rest of the staff our experience was amazing. Pre ordered food arrived on time was delicious. From planning w the function manager to day of event it was all done effortlessly. Birthday girl loved the vibe the set up. So, yes we will return and thank you thank you for all the friendly service we recieved. Until nxt time.

This place is absolutely amazing and the service is next level, If I could leave more stars I would. We held our daughter's 21'st birthday here last night. The food was amazing, spit package x 3 with heaps of leftovers! The staff were GREAT! really helpful and polite. A big shout out to Jo, Event manager for hosting us and going above and beyond our expectations. We are very happy with the planning, setup and organisational work you put in, we will definitely be back!

Celebrated my son’s 19th birthday with family and a few friends. Booking online was easy, food was great and service was wonderful thank you.

I was quite disappointed with the kitchen hours during my recent birthday booking. I had reserved a table for my family at 2pm, but when I attempted to place an order at 2:55pm, I was informed that the kitchen had closed and wouldn't reopen until 5pm. The manager suggested that if I couldn't wait, I could order from UberEats or choose from a limited menu of five cheese pizzas and five garlic breads – for a party of 24. By the time the kitchen reopened at 5pm, my birthday function had essentially ended. The service throughout the booking was far from satisfactory, and the 2pm reservation clashed poorly with the 3pm kitchen closure. While the manager was apologetic, I strongly recommend better communication regarding kitchen hours to avoid inconveniencing guests. Additionally, my 2pm reservation was during an exceptionally busy time, which only added to the frustration.

Great location for children

Top local pub. Easily one of the best in the Campbelltown area. Good food, not just the standard pub feed, and great drinks. Very rare to have something to whinge about.

I came here tonight and ordered a few drinks whilst celebrating my cousin and his wife’s birthday. I had just finished a night shift this AM and slept for a couple of hours before attending their birthday. The staff at the hotel presumed that I was intoxicated after only a couple of drinks and decided to cut service to myself and a few of our friends solely due to me appearing “intoxicated”, when it was simply due to me being tired from coming off of a long night shift. The fact that the staff did not even try to assist the group after my cousin paid $3,000 to book, along with the amount of money everyone spent solely on drinks. The fact that the staff judged everyone based off myself being exhausted from a long shift, followed by the poor judgment of staff and the way they dealt with it was appalling. The behaviour of the staff was very upsetting, as I have been here multiple times with no issues, and now no longer wish to put money into a venue that so quickly judges an individual based on their fatigue rather than their actual intoxication level. The only concern I would say I displayed, was the fact that I was friendly with other members of the venue, which may be portrayed as being “overly intoxicated” to those who are not generally friendly. If this sort of friendliness is frowned upon then, the venue itself should ensure this is stated, so people do not make the same mistake in future.

We had on Friday. Very helpful staff. Stakes were very tender. Also they offer variety of drinks. We did enjoy our night.

Attend regularly. Meals always good and good value. Fridays half price between 5 and 6pm exceptional value. No discount on meal sizes either. Always served by very pleasant staff and never experienced errors with our orders. Highly recommend.😊

Pleasant service and delicious food - based on what I ordered for the first time. I ordered the special (Baked Brie). I really loved it, being a big cheese fan. For the price, the food portion size is not large for pub food. The QR code to order at the table doesn’t even work. At times, it loads up the menu, then it glitches and wouldn’t allow online ordering. If it weren’t for the waitress who came by us and told us that the code was useless, we would’ve still been at the table struggling with the code.

Always great when I visit with friends and family, meals always great

I had an 80th celebration for my mother on Sunday. I cannot recommend the Hotel enough. It was a beautiful room (out the back) with the noise levels not reverberating through our ears and thus, we were able to talk to each other whilst eating. The food servings were generous and extremely tasty. The events coordinator and staff were lovely and helpful and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Everyone had a great afternoon with many of our guests definitely planning on returning.

We had great dining experience here, their menu offers good variety of different selections. Atmosphere is great for family gatherings and functions. I wouldn't mind coming back here.

I highly recommend Ambervale Hotel for any event and they will cater it perfectly. I have had 2 big events already with Ambervale Hotel and they have really taken care of us, the food was fantastic, the areas are so pretty and spacious I will always go to Ambervale whenever I have an event. They are reasonable with their function packages especially if you are tight with money and I always get compliments from my party guests about the areas I have booked. The photo attached was the dessert platter I pre ordered for the day and it was gone within seconds.

The staff and the service are nice and pleasant. Unfortunately the food is severely over-rated. I ordered the $50 BBQ board/smoker plate 😭 It comes with approx $5 of meat with some coleslaw, onion rings and corn added. Literally received 1 sausage (kransky) cut in half. 3 tiny ribs. 2 chicken wings (cut into pieces). 1 bit of brisket (no bigger than 2 TimTams stacked on top of each other). 2 tiny corn cobs. Some coleslaw (ranch slaw). A few onion rings and some pickles. That disappointing snack with 3 different sauces (which took up more space on the serving tray then the meat). One of the overpriced hanging lamb skewers would have almost double the amount of meat. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking this is a share plate to enjoy with your partner. I'd suggest taking a packed sandwich or 2 with you, if you are expecting to receive a meal. Look at the picture (not the best quality) not a thing has been touched.

My family and I went here for a show. We had food first which was lovely, and a good size serving, just a little bit pricey in my opinion. Towards the end of the show I was getting really tired and rested my head on the side of the booth I was sitting at and closed my eyes, then the bouncer tapped me and told me to leave the building as I am not allowed to be “sleeping”. Both my parents were rightfully mad and a little shocked. Will not be coming back here again.

Was pretty impressed with the layout of this pub. Heaps of seating with the option to sit indoor or outdoor. The gardens area is very beautiful and well designed with heaps of space. The food is okay, I ordered fish and chips and the oil used for the fish clearly needed a change as the batter tasted off and was super oily. I also made a reservation which they did not bother looking at as my name was on none of the tables in the area that I booked for… I wouldn’t bother making a reservation again.

We attended a school holiday activity for pizza making and it was excellent! Great food for lunch and atmosphere- highly recommended

From helping me with all my queries to being so accommodating helped relieve a lot of stress from planning two birthdays. Also a big thank you to Emma for being so helpful on the day of my children’s birthday. You were so approachable and sincerely helpful at all times. I highly recommend AMBARVALE to anyone who wants great food and amazing service especially a wonderful experience. Thank you so much and will definitely be back. x

For a luxury looking establishment they like Wi-Fi a simple necessity. Someone would say in this day and age to stay connected to people that may not be at this establishment. They also go out of their way to block your service on your phone and then there is also no phone service which makes you unreachable while you’re in the establish. I went to study change of environment ordered my lunch and set up my laptop. There was no Wi-Fi and my phone service was blocked. Sad really. Made me never come back if I cannot contact people or do my business there. What is the point of going?

Had my daughter’s first birthday party here and couldn’t fault it. All the guests commented on how great the food and venue was. Service was wonderful, nothing too much to ask. Love that you can have the heaters on for winter celebrations.

Understaffed at the bar. Sunday 1.30pm. 500 people in house and only 2 bar staff. When paying city prices for drinks you don't expect to stand around for 15 20 min to get drinks. They would be missing out on thousands

Our family of 12 went to Ambervale Hotel for a Sunday lunch. The level of service we received was unbelievable. I had the pork belly and it was just perfect. All the family were very surprised that all the meals came out at the same time. Great ambience in the hotel. Friendly , courteous and efficient staff. All the family commented on how delicious their meals were. I'm very glad we live close to the Ambervale Hotel because we also use there take away service.

Out family had a hiccup during yesterday's visit from a temporary internet outage, which caused a delay with our QR code-ordered food. However, once we brought it to the staff's attention, the issue was promptly resolved, and we received our food quickly. The food was delicious.

Enjoyed both burgers in different sittings but found not much difference between the deluxe burger and the cheese and bacon burger. Was also surprised at how good the quality, taste and size of the kids fish, kids burger and kids minute steak was so I do recommend buying those and other kids meals if on a budget at this place. Overall, i definitely recommend this venue if you need options eating out or food delivered from them

Your QR code system is useless, it takes an 1hr to get your meal and then they say you need to leave because the table is booked for next sitting. Second time the QR code system has stuffed up, due to glitches, get it fixed or get rid of it.

We were at this place for a Birthday celebrations. Had the Garden area booked for a party of 50. The staff was really accomodating to all the catering requirements. The Food was the Highlight of the Party. Catering to a Vegeterian menu, they tailormade the menu to include 3 canapes incl.of Cauliflower fritters, Mushroom arancini and Cheese balls. For Mains- The vege Burger were really amazing. The 2nd Main Creamy alfredo could have been better. All in, a great venue for Celebrations with ample of parking space and multiple Dining areas.

We went here for mothers day with the family and we had a table for 9 of us with kids. We ordered the kids food and entrees to come out first, and then the mains to come out later. Once ordering I went back to check that the order was correct because on the receipt one of the steaks was showing not in entrees or mains but in a seperate section. She said I'm not sure why it printed like that but rest assured it will be coming out with the mains. As time went by we were patiently waiting doe our meals. 35 minutes went by and I started getting impatient. I went back and asked if my entrees were ready, they advised we are waiting on the fish. However gave us our garlic bread and pizza to start if we liked. The pizza was stone cold. We sent it back and then after 5 minutes I came back to find all of our food sitting there on the counter. I spoke with the manager and specifically requested that this was not to happen as we had to feed the kids first and have the mains come out later. The manager at the time wasn't very helpful and said we can make everything again but it's going to be a long wait. And didn't give us many solutions to the problem. He advised he will give us a round of drinks. We went to our table and half our food was cold and the rest was unsatisfying. One of the seafood baskets we ordered was missing the prawns and scallops and the fish looked like it had been half eaten. The manager was called back and he said prawns and scallops dont come with the seafood basket so we questioned him and said its written on the menu and the other 2 seafood baskets we ordered have come with it. He said he would get it made but failed to fix the issue with the fish. When he brought out the prawns and scallops, it was stone called. At this stage we were so annoyed and upset we couldn't be bothered going back as there was no empathy for our situation. After a while my wife went up and spoke to the female manager who was a lot more empathetic. And refunded us for a few of the meals and provided dessert. Had this happened from the start and we spoke to the female manager I believe we would of had a lot more pleasant experience then we did. I would not go there again nor would I recommend it. It was our first time trying and our last. Thank you to the female manager that was on last night, your efforts was appreciated however the rest of your team let you down.

We recently hosted our kids' birthday party at Hotel Ambervale due to a last-minute venue change caused by the weather raining on our park plans. I must commend Jo and her team for their exceptional assistance in booking the space on such short notice. The venue itself is stunning, the service top-notch, and the kids had an absolute blast. We'll definitely be keeping this venue in mind for future events. A huge thank you to the entire team at Hotel Ambervale for making our function so memorable!
