Restaurant took incorrect order and brought out food. When food was brought out, the waitress said roasted smashed potatoes" and I immediately flagged that I asked for mash potato (truffle mash). She responded with "oops thats what I meant." I raised this with management who claims that the person that took my order read the order back out to me and I confirmed that's what I wanted. This is untrue as we were sorting out the sauce for the chicken schnitzel which also ended up being incorrect. Will not return here for food. Restaurant did not allow to change the order or offer a refund."

A good night out however was very loud even with not many people in the room we were in. Not great for people who have hearing impairment. The food was nice.

It’s gone down since the renovation. The family vibe is gone and they need to hire staff over the age of 18 that have a clue!!

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY if i could do 0 stars i would. extremely rude staff. came in for a staff dinner, reserved, and was rudely questioned to see everyones id, and when informed that some of our staff where underage (and would not be drinking) we were practically yelled at to not go near the bar? no friendly staff to greet us. judgemental, rude and entitled.

This used to be a great place to come to but a very unpleasant experience for lunch today from service to meals. It has lost its friendly staff and quality of food. Lack of interest from staff when they noticed most food was left on our plates. I expected better for $140 Not returning that’s for sure.

Food was great and tasty

Nothing seemed to be freshly cooked food was out couple minutes after I just sat down. Dry chicken parmigiana looked as frozen and just heated up for serving was disgusting and $29 steep price for it.

Really just reviewing the Buffalo wings!!!! They were 11/10 epic next I have ever got over a bar Well done guys. Rest of the food was pretty good too

Two of us went to dinner, ordered steak sandwich no BBQ sauce, came aoth BBQ and No aoli, was decent quality, and girl doing table service was pretty good. Atmosphere doe a Friday night was a bit average though.

Haven't been for years. Very smart now. Plenty of dining areas and one overlooking child play area. Good food selection and great prices. Will remember this place for future meals and functions.

If I could do 0 stars I would. I got refused entry with my girlfriend and her brother. They said we weren’t mature enough after sitting down at a table and trying to order food. My girlfriend is 17 years old myself 18 and her brother 19 and his son 6 months old. How ridiculous, we weren’t causing trouble we were trying to sit down and enjoy a pub lunch close to home.

Booked for a table of 20 and didn't get that. Very disappointing. Was lied to by a staff member.

Staff was rude. Mentioned my friend had food on his face while he had a mouth food of chicken wings. Steaks were expensive and not cooked correctly. They then tried to cook them again. One was still over cooked. One was so salty. The staff then gloated about having the old steaks for herself for dinner. One steak was a lot smaller and was overcooked, chef was spoken to directly and couldn't understand why the smaller one was over cooked as they were both cooked for the same time.

Meals prices hiked up & quality has gone out the door. $45 raw rump steak & came still well undercooked after being returned. Staff disinterested in resolving. Bye bye Ashmore Tavern we will go where they are interested in Customer Service & decent food without hiked up price

Went here the other day with my family and was treated exceptionally well by a sweet, young Korean bartender. Very nice man who kept everything nice and clean for us. Will come here again.

Dont waste your money on there gristly steaks or risk eating the foul vegetables that are not strained properly so you can enjoy the frozen McCain watery goodness all over your plate.

Sitting here watching the fights, Bartender is so rude to our group for no damn reason from the second we came in. Barley even said a word, only got a head nod as a response and greeting. But has completely different energy with another group that got 7 beers for the price of 3. Meals were alright but the pasta needs some flavour

Very disappointing, the food was delicious the alcohol was reasonably priced but night was ruined by the fact we got moved from the far dining area to the main pub area as they wanted to close down which we understand, but no more than half a hour later moved again to close on the whole pub area on a Friday night before 9.30 and asked to go into the pokies area to drink. No chairs to sit on unless gambling which we don’t do because I worked at casino for four years and hate to see people losing their money. Won’t be going there again and it’s a shame as we go there occasionally to meet up with friends that live down that way. 👎🏻👎🏻 How can you socialise with friends and a drink after dinner with noisy machines beeping and buzzing. Not ok !

Still the best lunchtime steak on the Gold Coast, steak is well cooked (rare for me) good chips and pepper sauce and a large freah salad. The best I’ve found after 50 years living in the coast.

Only about 3 vegetarian options, one of which is reserved for lunch. The compromise on the lunch pasta was a similar option without the meat, which was not terribly flavourful. To add to this, the serving size of the pasta dish was significantly smaller than the other meals. A pleasant enough venue, and I would say for most people it would be great, but I can't recommend it to anyone who doesn't eat meat.

I asked for a chicken caesar salad and got a teriyaki salad. I said chicken caesar salad twice. At least the service was fantastic, the staff were nice and pleasant.

Love that kids eat free on a Wednesday and that Saturday is family night with $5 kids meals and face painting. Its great a local restaurant is offering deals like this. They have a great selection of drinks and food is well priced and tasty.

Teriyaki Salmon rice bowl, paid $32 for inedible dry rice, inedible half unripe avocado, slightly undercooked (fillet) of salmon with no teriyaki flavour, shaved cucumber which was mainly the skin, roated (sic) chickpeas were most interesting and flavourful element. Total fail. Bar service was friendly and efficient. Pleasant atmosphere overall if they could just get their food to be on point I would consider returning.
