We went there for lunch again today Both the chicken schnitzels wer over cooked . As were the chips There steaks are the same How hard is it to cook chicken n chips.

The night was quiet so lacked an atmosphere. The meals were decent-sized and priced reasonably. The only fault I have with this venue is the acoustics in the old part of the pub, the echo is dreadful.

Went here for fathers dinner expecting to eat as a family but 2 meals came out first and the rest 40 minutes later, when we asked about the other meals we just go to it’s coming it’s coming, this place is a joke since the new management. Toilets aren’t maintained, the soap dispenser was on the ground and soap everywhere. We spent $300 for the table

Tried the Australian Hotel for the first time after living only 15 mins away for the past 2 years. Loved the food and the beer garden. The specials menu had a turkey Christmas dinner for Christmas in July. Coming from the UK we love our roast dinners on a Sunday and this place was the best we’ve had in Sydney, with proper Yorkshire pudding too! Can’t wait to come back. I think this will easily become our go-to local for food.

great Aussie pub

We have been here for dinner and it was amazing. It is very much like an English pub, the atmosphere is very chilled, you order at the counter and can help yourself with tap water. I got the classic schnitzel with gravy and it was lovely, my friends also enjoyed very much their steaks. Would have definitely gone back if I had more time in the area!

Love the restyle and the vibes. Would be lovely for the family or the non family group

Disappointing experience. Food was terrible couldnt eat the fish and chips tasted off (waste of money). Tried to complain at the bar but was ignored by the staff. The lady playing the music suddenly stop playing ... disappointing because she was great.

I come from the Central Coast and my amazing adult kids and gorgeous grandkids took me out for dinner for Mother's Day. The atmosphere was great, the heating was great sitting outside, the kid's playground was awesome and the food was brilliant!!! Yum yum.

Last year we had the best meals and service for Mother’s Day and the place was packed with great atmosphere, dissapointly I chose to go there this Mother’s Day with the family and the food was disappointing the chicken snitzel is a bit of processed chicken, salmon a small serving in a breakfast side bowl, cheeseburger and chips was a tiny slider size burger, once that sat you down no one attended your table for any reason, we know now why they hardly had half the crowd as last year it had no atmosphere and food is less that tasty. Obviously not the same manager as last year and I felt bad for my kids that it was I my choice

Lacks atmosphere mid week

A hidden gem in the Hawkesbury, this place is the best! Food is AMAZING! Delicious generous sized meals, everything superb! Steak yum yum yum & salmon to die for 🤤 perfectly priced lunch specials & midweek dinner deals! If you’re lucky enough to live local, check it out! Best bottle shop there too, such huge variety friendly staff & great specials!

Food was fantastic and atmosphere in the beer garden outstanding definitely worth a visit.

Do not book ahead with this mob unless you want to loose $10 per head when you cancel. It doesn’t matter if it’s for medical reasons, you will not get your money back. Daylight robbery!!!

I have just had the worse steak in my life. Asked for medium rare and got charcoal.

Entree was ok But main meal chicken parmigiana had no flavour at all , just tasted like can tomato, cheese wasn’t even browned properly Scotch fillet , very gristly , mushroom grave only tasted like cream , no flavour and the salad covered in Parmesan cheese , no dressing Will not be going back

Stopped in to the Australian Hotel, recently changed hands and renovated. To be honest, I had not been there before to compare, but it looks great. We sat in the outdoor dining area, huge yet unimposing tv screen (if you like that kind of thing or not). Pizza was delicious. We did not look around inside except to see they retained some of the old pub area with vintage tiles (now they would have some stories to tell). Typical pub menu but servings looked good, there is plenty of parking and a drive through bottle shop.

Such an improvement, Sam, the manager so friendly, but quite distressed to hear today is his last day! He has been an asset he has taken the pub from a dive to a reputable place for families, local tradesmen and the elderly! I guess from The Bird in the Hand at Pitt Town will now have our patronage!

Came up from Melbourne to watch the boat races and came to the Aussie for dinner. What a fantastic place, the staff were very accommodating. Walked in and was instantly greeted by the manager (Kate) who found me a table in a very busy atmosphere. The other manager Sam was very upbeat and welcoming. Will definitely be back to see them both again, they run a great pub.

Loved the great family atmosphere bonus Jimmy Bear 🐻 was the musician.

Did not like the extra cost on menu plus the surcharge required, therefore cancelled lunch,went home made fresh bacon and egg roll,surprised myself at how good it was!

First of all I was absolutely shattered and clearly living under a rock to learn that this beautiful pub had been refurbished! However after the initial shock of seeing the new and improved establishment I must say it is certainly a well thought out and modern touch to Windsor. The beers are $7.50 which is average priced when this pub has an upper city vibe to it yet still has all the riff raff of the western Sydney culture. A place you can happily take your family for a meal and the only reason I give a 4 star review is because I didn’t sample the meals. Staff were accommodating and the vibe was rustic with plenty of space and a well rounded atmosphere. I don’t normally single out staff members as they all have their place in the community, however Beth needs a special mention due to her above and beyond attitude and attendance. A good example of a new and improved venue that clearly has the potential for growth and success. Can’t wait to return for a meal with the family.

This place has an amazing outdoor area and the most delicious food. The Staff on the other hand are terrible. So rude and not willing to help. Such a shame when they have opened such a nice space but can’t get happy, polite staff mainly speaking about management staff (People behind the bar) .

Amazing all round! They were able to cater to a large event booking with only days notice.. The venue was perfect, large space, live music, aloud all decorations, kids area close/safe, great food, they even bought wristbands for me just incase I wanted a bar tab, the list goes on... Not to mention the friendly and catering staff. A big shout out to manager Kate and staff Gabby, I could not have done it without you! To sum it up I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for an event or even just a visit.

Renovated very well. Nice outdoor space, kids area with plenty of seating around to keep an eye on the kiddos. Ps you know a place knows kids when there’s a plain pasta with butter option on the menu! I order a margarita pizza, I love a wood fired pizza base, it was delicious! Also ordered the parmigiana, the chicken was so tender. Highly recommend this local pup, the new owner have done a great job! 🤌🏼 We will be back regularly!

I went with mates and was thebonly one who got the steak. It was quite average due to the fat content but everyone else I was with commented on how great there meal was. Very family friendly environment with outdoor dining, play area for kids and a big screen on the wall.
