Largs Pier Hotel
Established in 1882, the Largs Pier has long been an imposing landmark overlooking the Lefevre Peninsula. Its three-story bluestone structure with stuccoed arcades on all levels, elegant archways adorned by eagles with outstretched wings, and its grand staircase, are all symbols of elegant craftsmanship from a bygone era. But, beyond its aesthetic delight, the Largs Pier’s purpose was pragmatic and pure. For years it served as a haven for shore-hungry sailors and as a landmark to port. Ship captains could set a course by the lights of the hotel which could be easily seen far out to sea. It was a place of refuge, comfort, and security.
Today, we honour this heritage by providing a modern twist on our haven by the shore. We provide a sanctuary for our guests seeking respite and reward. Rich surrounds, an envious locale, and gastronomic delights are par for the course. But most important is the welcoming smile and shake of the hand, because in the words of W.B. Yeats, “there are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t met yet.”

Nice snitty and gravy the wife had salt n pepper squid and enjoyed it, quick service
Salt and pepper squid was yummy and so tender. Quick service
I've been here a few times now, both for large group dinners and small group lunches. The location is almost perfect, as it's become almost a tradition now to take a walk along the jetty after the meal, and there is almost always a parking spot nearby, despite being along the beachfront. In good weather, it is lovely to sit outside under the sheltered verandah, or under an umbrella at the side of the building. And a bonus is that the indoor seating is, unlike many other hotels, quite comfortable. Oh yes, the food is great, too!
Always brilliant Food, service, value and the views 👌 yeeeeow
Very expensive for what you got . Had batter
Had lunch here, pizza was OK, middle was a bit soggy and needed more pineapple, burger was good, the hotel could do with new table and chairs inside, most of the chairs are worn and torn and uncomfortable, staff lovely
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! My 4th stay & this place just gets better. Room was amazing, the staff were amazing & dinner was outstanding. Fantastic value & will definitely be back...... again 😉
It was such a pleasure to visit. Friendly, helpful staff, wonderful situated, and a great range of refreshments.
BEST BREAKFAST IN ADELAIDE
Just love this place and the location
Great food with excellent service from very friendly staff one of our favourites pub to go to because it's always clean and meal quality is consistent. Excellent food and service once again . It's our go to pub after going to so many others and getting disappointed with the service sometimes and the food.
Great Heritage Pub full of history. Bar staff quirky attitude. Average public food.
The Largs Pier Hotel staff are super special, and the chefs deliver delicious food.
BEAUTIFUL.
nice vibe, homely atmosphere. Outside is beautiful. The troph in the boys toilet is just a wall which is weird but dare to be different more power to em. I almost pissed on the tiles, how random!
We were on a scooter rally and 42 of us had lunch. The food was great. Service was quick even though the pup was packed
Nebyl jsem ubytován, nemohu posoudit
Stopped for lunch was very nice , didn't wait long for food, presentation good , staff smart, defiantly visited again
Had a lovely experience at the Largs Pier Hotel , a lovely old building, so we'll present and maintained . living like royalty in the room . had a lovely atmosphere and the staff we're so friendly . We were so surprised on how nice this area is .👌
What a location 😁 good service and drink selection
Went for a couple of drinks with a girlfriend. Nice location but be warned, the prices are absolutely ridiculous! $27 for two ginger beers - and that was on tap!! We actually thought they had pressed the wrong buttons on their machine when they told us the price. Won't bother going back.
I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing bar today for the first time, all the way from the Barossa Valley, and I can confidently say that the journey was absolutely worth it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional customer service that truly set the tone for my visit. Anastasia, one of the bar attendants, was an absolute delight. She made me feel right at home with her friendly nature and attentive service. Not only did she take the time to recommend some fantastic drinks, but she also shared some insights about the local area and their offerings, which made my experience even more enjoyable. Her passion for her work and genuine care for her customers shine through in every interaction. The atmosphere of the bar further complemented the excellent service — it was vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be returning and will be recommending this bar to all my friends back in the Barossa Valley. This place is a must-visit, and Anastasia is a superstar!
Went on this Monday, first time, really impressed with the building!! Even better was the service i received. Asked for some really good local beers 🍻 and wines to maybe try and was shocked to actually get some really good suggestions and ideas. Was served by Anastasia?? I'm sure that was her name sounds Russian anyway. She was really nice and friendly and actually told me a lot of stuff I know it's their job but she actually was good. Definitely will come back again just because of the service!!! Sydney and Melbourne pubs take note!!! Maybe stay a night just thought you guys were a pub only. Thanks 🙏 5 star.
Had a beautiful and delicious lunch at the Largs Pier Hotel. Kym was very helpful at the cashier giving us strong recommendations for our table of 10. The restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly. If you ever meet Suzy she will always make you smile. 100% recommend to any foodies and beach lovers.
We keep coming back here over the years, even though we live in Kapunda. Ticks all the boxes, food, value, location, but especially accommodation and service. We stayed in Room 1 a couple of times, wow, feels like we’re in Great Gatsby, amazing! The service downstairs stands out. It is consistently excellent. Staff are always warm and welcoming, when we come here to eat. It does really stand out compared with other places. Great job! Thank you.
We had a delicious breakfast out on the hotel terrace with ocean views.
Good food, friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended
Great customer service from this handsome young man named Blake in the bottleshop! If it wasn’t for the cars behind me I would have talked to him all day!
Beautiful views of the beach Service remarkable Staff friendly and professional Prices awesome Well done everyone
Loved this place, food and service were great, love the old decor
Great pub, good food
Another great pub in the Port to North Haven area, beach views, great food and service
We stayed in the Jetty road apartment, with views of the beach. The apartment had everything you need for a stay away. Really good location. Right across from the jetty and playground.
What a lovely location
It's an ok place to stay, nothing fancy
Great Pub
This hotel has a lot of history. A feeling of older times permeates. Dining at the bistro, food was delicious, though too much on the plate. There were lots of reservations for different events.
Gorgeous place for a drink at the beach
Delicious food, excellent service and fabulous location.
Just had my birthday party at the Largs pier hotel for lunch
Very busy. They tell you how long the wait time on food will be. Best meal I have had in a while.
We enjoyed a coffee morning on their terrace, right in front of the beach. The staff was very friendly and quick to take our order. We ordered Belgian waffles and sourdough toast with jam, with a coffee (mocha) and a chai latte. We were disappointed with the quality of the dishes, the waffles felt defrosted and over sugared, which is not characteristic of a Belgian style waffle (which we have tried when we were in Belgium). The sourdough toast was not real sourdough, just a rustic white bread. The Chai Latte was hyper sweet and tasted like the characteristic chai powder bought in the supermarket, really ugly. The Mocha coffee was very good. Positive points are the location of the place, the staff and the terrace. The quality of the dishes we ordered left a lot to be desired.
We went there on New Year's Day for lunch. Service was really friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Always a pleasure stopping in for a cold drink and great food. And served by the best staff. 👌
Ordered Barramundi entree as main, added on salad and mash, best meal ever. A real signature dish. Well done Fish Chef, outstanding 👌
The wife and I absolutely enjoyed our visit last weekend. We were very impressed with the architecture of the building, both in and out. The history of the building is something to behold too. Some of our favourite bands started their careers here, The Angels, Cold Chisel, Rose Tattoo to name a few. Bon Scott met his wife Irene here, and played his first gig with AC/DC at this venue.
What a great space to spend some time. Old world meets new age! Great food, wine and rooms. Friendly staff to greet you at reception right through to the bar staff who really know what they’re doing. Railway Station into Adelaide is closeby. Beach at the front and picnic areas.
Great food and drinks, great location and vibe, highly recommend
15% surcharge new years public holiday. 10.30pm new years eve ordered 2 $15 cocktails... was told that will be $46... disgusting.. doesn't add up
Went for breakfast and super busy, line up was around 20 minutes to get order in. Got smashed avo on sourdough. Avo was oxidised and presented with that grey/black colour and sourdough wasn’t a true sourdough and lacked the air & crust. Not really worth what was payed for considering the quality & wait time.
Food was fantastic. Will come again
Went to the Largs Pier for Christmas lunch and was very disappointed. We arrived at 12pm and never left till 2.50pm, straight after we finished desert. There was a wait of 1hour 20mins between starters and main course, which to me is way to long, especially for teenagers. As for the food, well the starters, Pork Belly was certainly different, Pork Belly was cook perfect but the pesto sauce or whatever it was over powered everything. Morton Bay bugs were very tasty, but half a bug with nothing else 🤔. Main course didn’t get any better, whiting was overcooked and the herds in the crumb over power the fish and not pleasant. Turkey was cooked perfectly but the taste was so smoky it was again overpowering. Desert was perfect , pudding and salted caramel spot on. Have had numerous meals at the Largs Pier and never being disappointed until now. Also $150 per head I thought was a bit high and after the meal not even close. Fair to say I wouldn’t recommend going there for Christmas Lunch
Not the staffs fault but too busy to have only one place to buy meals. The Line up was 10 minutes long.
Went there tonight, food and service was fantastic, definitely going back.
The service was spot on food was big and good real value for the price
The food is nice and the outdoor seating was a vibe. The staf were extremely nice and I didn't have to repeat myself.
Enjoyed breakfast...yummy

Delicious food and great service 😋
Brilliant pub. Great place for a beer. Wish I was there when Cold Chisel played !
