Meals were very big and I it was very nice, quick to come out .

Had a steak burger with chips plus a few beverages. Entree was wedges with sour cream and sweet chill sauce. All was nice and fresh and tasty.

Great value schnitzels, amazing toppings. Coffee and dessert were excellent Friendly staff, casual atmosphere. Lots of parking. Update: a recent menu change has resulted in all of our favourites being dropped from the regular menu, despite the wait staff saying they were the most popular. And they dropped the waffles from the dessert menu 😭😭😭😭 New schnitzel toppings are not even close, so the Avoca is no longer our go-to place for schnitzels.

I normally don’t do crappy reviews, and try focus on the Good. The Good from this was my meal was refunded and I left hungry. I ordered a steak 🥩 medium rare, my first one came out 🥶 cold and the butter would not even melt. The meat was so tough not juicy, it was hard to cut with a steak knife. They made me a second steak, reheated the mash potatoes to super hot! The salad did not survive. The steak was beautiful to look at, but so tough no juice coming out while resting, could not eat it. The reason they got 2 stars is the lady refunded the steak

We were in the back area for an engagement celebration and I chatted with the bartender who was full of good-vibes about getting a couple of whiskey sours which he then rated his skills at making. So I ordered two, but as I returned after taking the other drinks to our table he had to apologise as his ‘manager’ told him he could not go to the kitchen to get (or use) eggs for our drinks. He refunded my drink order and apologised. Two eggs acquired would have brought in the sale of about $50bucks to the till for two cocktails, it was disappointing and it didn’t make sense to our table group. My wife and I rate a pubs ‘return-to-them’ ability on the potential skills of the barkeep and the first sours made., if they can’t make a sour why are they even behind the bar?! If the sours are really good, wifey will surf the cocktail menu and I’ll use up six more eggs. 😉 Unfortunately, we started with high-hopes., but it went unsatisfied. Don’t misunderstand me, the bartender seemed great, but he wasn’t given much chance to shine. I drank double Hack n cokes, wife had how whites, how boring.

Jason and I come here for meals and gaming and we find the staff to be really fun, professional, and on the ball. The atmosphere is clean, and we have met a lot of lovely patrons. Nat is funny on her Thursday night games hosting, Nadia and the crew are always a good laugh. We will continue to come back!

Highly recommend, beautiful quiet place. Our meals were brought out fast and the flavours were amazing. Good portion sizes, value for money. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Put this place on your list.

Clean, bright and good food. The sound of the pokies aren't too loud. The dinning area is a reasonable size. The food was good. Prices are a bit high but in this economy not too bad. Overall a good experience for a night out.

poor management

I just want let everyone I’m spending lots of money for dinner and drink I have been several times to this location and I have found ongoing issues with Nadia manager of this place I hope someone to be contact me about this issue and I can explain more she thinks she owner of the place if she has continue this behaviour I don’t think so this place going well everyone find problems with her.

I don't spend much time in pubs these days but I came to the Avoca for a friend's engagement party. We were in the beer garden kinda area out the back. It was a really lovely space and not too crowded or noisy. The decor is fresh and modern. The staff were all friendly including one guy who was super friendly. All the staff liked like they actually wanted to be there. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to arrange some drinks to celebrate.

Roast of the day dont even bother. Meat has no taste and looks boiled. Food came out cold, we only ate the food as it cost us over 100 dollars. But was pretty well unedable.

On 13/9 I Ordered the chicken schnitzel for lunch and they sent out a glorified chicken tender at best. It should of been on the kids menu. You can see where they cut a full size peice in half. I addressed it to the venu manager and she had a poor attitude saying It's because I ordered from specials board. She walked off as I questioned it. When my friend ordered his mean/drink at the bar an older lady short changed my friend by $5, when he told her she just said yeah your right opened and closed the till and pulled a note from underneath the till.. check the CCTV. However not all bad. In the morning day before I was in the pokie room. Shift manager said hello, made me laugh and the bartender made me a beautiful Late with the leaf in the froth.

Meal was exceptional. Only thing that could be better was the salad, no cucumber or onion. Would have been a 9.5 then. Nice venue, clean, and friendly staff.

Great pub meal deals, specials menu and can’t beat the Sunday Roast of the day! Kids meals (age limit) also include free soft drink and ice cream. Dining areas neat and clean. Staff are a hit and miss, from one extreme to the other. Smokers area by the car park entrance is a real put off though.

Very quick service makes you wonder how the food is pre made not very tasty.

A young lass who served us deserves a medal illustrating her care factor as she persisted in stopping a door blowing open in heavy winds. It blew part of the topping off our pizza.

It is a pity that the Hotel shows such violent content on some of it's screens. It wasn't very pleasant having video of people fighting and another promoting a programme about riots on the nearby screen whilst trying to enjoy a meal. We do not need media promoting violence any where in our society let alone in a hotel dining room. Very disappointing and unsettling.

Just had a meal at the Avoca. The meals are good quality, delicious, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Update. Just had a late lunch at the Avoca. One of the best pub meals I have had. Full marks to the chefs and kitchen staff!!

Plenty of choices from the menu and menu pricing is changed depending on beef/chicken market prices, so is actually usually cheaper than other pubs. Food is tasty too. Chips are to die for!

Had an amazing meal here the other night, arrived just before closing staff were super friendly and didn't make a fuss. Meals come out super quick. Can recommend highly enough!

Had the chicken special which was about 33 bucks. Couldn't eat it, the chicken had a weird texture and was soooo salty. Really amateur stuff, won't be back.

We have been to this suburban pub several times in recent weeks. Service has always been exceptional as has the standard of the meals. On one occasion we ordered the Mexican topped chicken Schintzel and the chicken and avocado pizza. Atmosphere is great. Well worth a visit.

Despicably low standards of hygiene and shoddy management make this grim suburban pokie barn not worth your time to visit. The venue is extremely poorly decorated only using muted white and grey colourless schemes making it more like a nursing home than an inviting bistro. it's clear the owners have put zero effort into the atmosphere of the venue. Expect your salads and ramekins to have gone back and forth from the kitchen at least three times before it reaches your plate.

So grateful that this is my local! Food is great and the all staff are amazing. The beer garden is dog friendly which is great - now we can go out for dinner as a family

My wife seemed to be happy with her meal, considering what I paid for my rump steak it was very chewy, I expected better quality.

44 of us celebrated a birthday in 'The Glasshouse'... Everyone was so impressed with the atmosphere, the food and the service. Michelle is an asset to your business - she was great to deal with through the planning and set-up stages and on the day she and her team were faultless... Great place for a catch-up with friends

Just waited 57 minutes for an entree!!! And the chips were cold. They need a better system to notify people of wait times when they have big groups in! It's not an excuse to keep regulars waiting!!!

We celebrated a christening here, in the court yard bistro. The food was prepared and served well.

Went for drinks, and we shared a few starters...Sweet Potato Chips, Chicken Wings and Pork Belly Bites all very nice with appropriate sauces/sides to compliment each dish.

Went here to celebrate my father’s birthday and we were told at the last minute that we had to leave the dining room at 8.30 and the girl who told us was very rude. The bar staff would also benefit from learning some customer service skills and how to deliver food and announce what food they have brought out. The guy that brought out the food was barely whispering to a table of 20 and no one could hear him. When my partner order a drink he was greeted with “what do you want” from the charming guy behind the bar. Food was sub par and the steaks that the table ordered were all overcooked and the small shot glass of gravy was barely enough to hide how dry the steak was. On a plus side, the venue was very very clean to its credit but this does not excuse the shocking behaviour and attitude of the staff. Unfortunately cleanliness is not enough to persuade us to go back.

Expensive for what it is.

Great food specials. The food came out really quickly (there weren't a lot of people when we went, maybe 6 other groups). The staff were really nice and friendly. A few options for beer on tap, with a mix between craft and your standard mid strengths. I have been a few times and always a nice environment.

Drop in for dinner. We had a table of 4 all meals looked and tasted great. Not one complaint from anyone. The Crispy Chicken Burger is amazing 🤤.

Food and service improved since the last time I was here (couple of years ago). Under Star Hotel group management since early 2023. Has made a big difference to the place. Enjoyed the meal - chargrilled lamb special was very good. Nice wine by the glass selection.
