Went to Bank Tavern for lunch. We had 6 in our party and found a table quickly. We placed our food and drink orders shortly after arriving. Our drinks came quickly, and our food arrived shortly thereafter. Everything tasted very good and the prices were reasonable.

Been there twice for lunch, had there schnitzel burger meal. Accompanied with a nice chilled beer. Both the times fantastic experience. With food and with the staff.

The best place in kogarah for a classic pub meal. It might be a few dollars more than its closest competitor but it leaves them for dead. Steak was 9/10. And I never give 10s, so it's very very good.

I got totally catfished by the photos on their website. This place looks nothing like the photos it's a total abomination!! All roads lead to the pokies which smell like 22 day old unwashed butt crack. Avoid at all costs if you value your life...

Lady down the bottom was lovely and very welcoming when me and my 3 friends walked in, but unfortunately the bar tender up the top was absolutely horrible to us, very unprofessional, and extremely rude. We left and did not buy any of the drinks. He stated to us that he did not have any of the cocktail ingredients set up, and hadn’t made any cocktails yet. When myself my our friends said it was fine but made a few jokes about how we could help him out, he was extremely rude and sarcastic towards us so we left. Very disappointed.

I recently moved to Kogarah. This pub is my favourite place. It is not fancy or photogenic but has good food, friendly service, and affordable prices. I really enjoyed Monday steak and Tuesday Schnitzel !!!

Reason why this pub is empty all the time is because of the staff and people that work there are unfriendly and rude disgusting! That blonde girl and her face is so miserable omg 😦 I’m never going back there

Just had my 50th birthday there, and everything was perfect! The venue fit everyone and didn't feel cold or empty and it had a great clubbing vibe! Big thanks to Kelly that had organised everything without a worry and the host Chris who ran everything like clockwork .. special mention to Jackson on the bar for keeping us from going thirsty 😁

The Food was so so so good and the staff very friendly. It was not only lovely Food but the price was so very reasonable. My Wife did not have Barra, had Fish and Chip ( not listed on review site) and said it was wonderful. My Steak was fantastic.

Good venue if you like to play pokies, plenty of machines. It's just not my type of place to hang around in smoky pokies pubs. Service is great and the upstairs bistro does a good meal. Sorry, just not into the ocean of pokie machines.

Value for money on happy hour cheapest in Kogarah

I recently planned and had my mums 50th birthday at the bank tavern in Kograh and was met with the most incredible service by Kelly the event manager/organiser. She was an absolute please to work with, I was absolute chaos half the time and she was patient and took initiative on things that made the night run smooth, and she completely pulled off my vision for mum and looked after us the whole night!!! Great price for an event with catered kai , bar tab , dj and security. We will definitely know who to call for our next event planning!!! Thank you Kelly and team you really were amazing and we had the best time!!!

Pokies area has been renovated. More new machines. Great decorations. The reason for 1 star is purely on the staff. I went to play on Saturday late night while I was playing, the security guard walked to me then interrupted my play. He said that I hammered the machine and asked me to push the button gently. I just normally tapped the button but he still interrupted me then keep blabbing about how much the machine cost. He expected me to gently push the button slowly without making any sound. SERIOUSLY such a NONSENSE.

We recently celebrated my husbands 50th birthday at the Bank Tavern and were so happy with the service. The Event Co-Ordinator Kelly was extremely helpful through the whole preparation process and really looked after us all on the night. All the Staff were very polite and friendly and the food was excellent. Our guests were impressed with the venue and everyone enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend holding a function here. It has it all - with the function room having its own bar, kitchen, dance floor, seating, toilets and smoking section all in the one indoor area.

We recently had a last minute function to celebrate milestone 50th birthday. From the first time we reached out to Kelly she was very accommodating and willing to ensure our night was going to be a success. No task was too difficult for her and her speediness in putting everything together for us even though she was on annual leave was amazing!! The staff on the night were very hospitable and accommodating in ensuring we had a fantastic night. The food was of high standard. We would highly recommend Bank Tavern for any function and won't hesitate to rebook for our future events.

Held a function (21st) at the Bank Tavern @ Kogarah. Could not fault it. Event Coordinator, Kelly was amazing. The venue and function room where perfect. Food was great. Staff were extremely friendly. Best night, so relaxed.

The Bank Tavern is a small, friendly place to have a drink with a nice meal. I highly recommend the lunches - all made fresh to order. The young fella working in the bar upstairs is so helpful and polite. Great work team.

Staff are EXTREMELY rude. Do NOT drink/dine here. They do not deserve your hard earned money.
