Old school pub really good no crowds cold beer.

Young staff fantastic friendly and lovely, only issue is with a male older staff who is stand over. Was told we couldnt drink drinks not bought in the bar but then even drinks bought from there was not allowed if not bought per glass. Friend spent over $10,000 on pokie machine over two days and bought some beers but didnt know he couldn't drink it because it was take away license only. He was not told this despite the workers knowing he had been there all morning playing the machine. When he was told this he stopped drinking it but they proceeded to take it away. Friend offered to take it outside to drink but the pub said they owned the footpath. Incredible that other patrons then proceeded to make threats to sort us out when they had no idea what the issue was. Feel disappointed for the treatment of our friend. They then agreed to put the remaining bit of beer into a glass so he could drink it and when I told him how gracious he was after spending so much money and the issue was a beer I was told to stop talking. So we can't even talk amongst ourselves even if it's not about them. Again very disappointed.

The best 4 out of 5 star pub in Australia. ‘Are you alright’…..’yea I just want to get a beer’…… ‘what do you want?’……. Yea a great Northen SUPPER CRISPY thanks’…. Sunny Semaphore…..Watching the world go by, with a few anger issue’d troubled souls by my side……enjoy your beer, sip n save, the place to be, it’s the fed, beer garden and upstairs is a bed, in the hotel, it’s not maintained, enthusiasm drained, sotos chips, temptation is this, as I smell the gravy, I’m not out at outer harbor working with the navy, surf is flat, as I look out at the beech it’s not wavy, suns in my eye, no surprise in my head… beer at the fed.

The sagittarius lady at the front bar gave us the best service we have ever recieved. Definitely coming back ❤️

I would go here so much more often if there was some background music playing in the front bar. Such a weird vibe in there just sitting in silence. Absolutely lovely architecture and location etc otherwise.

Great service received from staff! Quick to get your meal out to you. And the best bread rolls are served while you wait !!! Really nice food and cold drinks. ❤️I WILL BE GOING BACK. ❤️

Value for money rooms, suit smokers with attached shared balcony and cheapest accommodation rates in the state. Staff member who checked me in was not customer service orientated

Best pub around but love to right a letter management how I would improve fed if I management but he must give me $20 so I can spend it on a Fri night llol wounder how cool they are if will .interesting ?

What could you say about this bar? I would definitely be back, I loved the atmosphere, service was was great, toilets were very clean. Defi a bit of a dive bar, so no cocktail dresses and tuxedos, but 100 % Aussies and 10o% great fun

Great place for a night out, especially for them Karaoke buffs, Thursday nights are hosted by a great host. Food is reasonable, be better if it wasn't burnt. Food quality has improved in recent weeks

Still good pub food at pub prices. Clean, not crowded staff are super friendly and efficient. At the price of food a good investment in taste and money. Go try it out.

On Sunday just the chef and front-of-house Shiraz were on duty upstairs. We had a table of 8. Other patrons at other tables as well. Shiraz managed it all... at the bar... at the dining booking desk... in the galley helping the chef... serving at tables and clearing away. The food is always good (we go weekly). Shiraz is a miracle worker. She should be paid triple time because she does the work of 3 people. Please give her some extra staff 🙏

I went on Thursday for karaoke I had a great time and coming again

I went with a friend for dinner and to see a band. Meals were very nice. We played pokies for a while and saw the band for a while.

Went to the Fed tonight, first time for a while. Walked in to an empty bar, 7pm, stood there for several minutes, no bar people! Waited for service, eventually left, saw one guy sitting outside on his phone. Took our custom, 4 people to the Semi. Walking past later realised guy sitting outside was the barman!

DO NOT stay here. Accomodation is a health concern. Mould all through the rooms. Air conditioning and ventilation fans so dirty they just make noise. Everything is falling apart and dirty. All staff we were in contact with were unhelpful and rude; especially the lady manager! Try Exeter up the road, much better!

I visited the bar and grabbed a beer which was fresh, the bar was clean, staff friendly and welcoming. Can't rate the hotel but imagine the service would be wonderful!

Cool old pub. Nice beer garden and food wasn't bad either. Will be going back next time I'm in town.

Nice cheap place to stay stayed in a room had access to balcony a lot of bird poop maybe give it a clean need to update the table and chairs on the balcony, check bedding before you sleep the rest of the pub is amazing but upstairs in accommodation needs to be updated but overall lovely stay close to the beach

Great Band, great atmosphere and good bar service

Haven't been to the Fed for a while. Had a great Schnitzel for just $15. Great chips and fresh salad. Partner had Pork cutlet with steamed asparagus, bok choy, sweet potato chips and Kirkpatrick sauce. Delicious. Couldn't fault either meal. Fantastic service from Sammie. Will be going back for sure. A bit of gem that needs rediscovering.

Extremely rude staff, they do not respect peoples privacy. Owner is a complete A hole too rather than apologize or say sorry for staff being rude he just stirs the pot and makes the situation worse. Lost my business for life, there's much nicer places to go with much nicer people to give my money too.

Visited here on Friday night for a meal. Restaurant was nearly empty which was a surprise as the food and service were both terrific. We both enjoyed our meals and the staff were super friendly. Would definitely visit again!

Worst place I've ever stayed in. We live in the country and thought it would be good to stay by the sea for a break last minute. They told us there was only one room left with access to the balcony so we grabbed it. They didn't tell us there was a loud rock band playing directly under our room. We had thumping bass and screeching singing until 1am..The music was so loud the windows were rattling..we had to put a towel under the draughty door..as cigarette smoke was wafting up from the packed bar underneath us. We couldn't even hear the tv in our room. There were drunken noisy people shouting and screaming on their alfresco area on the street until about 2.30 am.. police were in attendance twice..the Manager did nothing..We complained to the Night Manager 3 times..who said there was nothing he could do.. he suggested we complain to the Owners the next day. He wouldn't even put us in a quieter room at the rear of the hotel..which we last found out was virtually empty. We left early the next morning with about 3 hours sleep and a migraine. We complained to the owner of the hotel ..and he said too bad.. we should have known that it was a busy tourist area..and his tone suggested ..frankly he couldn't have cared less. Stay away from this hotel the management and owners are extremely arrogant and the rooms are dirty and extremely noisy.

The service was great, the barmaid was very friendly & efficient. She was very welcoming. Drinks were reasonably priced & the environment was good.
