This place is a unicorn! A pub that actually feels like a pub. Great food, amazing bar staff, and good prices. So much better than the larger, boring, copy and paste venues around town. One of my happy places :)

This review isn’t so much about the food but more about how I’m in love with the Brazilian lady that serves the food. She is an angel and the only thing preventing me from asking for her number is a lowly mortal such as myself is in no league of a goddess such as her. Maybe one day but probably not. Anyway the food is really good too so grab a feed and a beer 10 out of 10 Ps: I definitely DONT steal a fork every time I come here just cause I have no forks at my house

I had a large group with me for lunch yesterday and everyone was really impressed with the food and especially the service. We all received our meals close together even though we were more than 20 people..thank you to your wonderful staff and compliments to the chef and kitchen team. 😊 I recently had dinner here with 3 others..all of our meals were wonderful. It was also a great price and the service was excellent. I would definitely be dining there again and highly recommend to others..thankyou Ilona

What a venue and a menu! Came here with my family to celebrate my birthday lunch. The specials board is always amazing with mouth watering options. Can never go past one of the chief Kamal's specialties and my all time favorite go to, his delicious butter chicken! The dishes are always generous sizes and great prices too! The staff were all so nice and attentive with big smiles and helping me wherever they could. Bringing cutlery to the table and spare napkins for my kids while checking in. Don't forget to check out the desert menu... the sticky date pudding is a favorite of everyone in this family.

Great all round pub, family friendly, real atmosphere, friendly staff and great food!! Extensive menu and all good, the Marsala chicken filets with mash and greens is a standout. The cocktails are great too, especially the Pink Hibiscus Gin Sour according to my wife and daughter :) Worth the visit!

I had a wonderful dinner at Banksia Hotel. The curry fries were fantastic, and the halloumi burger was a standout—so flavorful! The risotto was good but didn’t quite hit the same high note. The cocktails were great, especially the Snickers martini, which I loved. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the evening even better. Highly recommend!

Recently returned to the Banksia Hotel after taking a break of two years. I had not enjoyed the previous menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and experience. Will be back

Love the food, staff are great, trivia is lots of fun - just HATE those stools around high tables, the legs splay out and bump into the people sitting beside and behind you and take up too much room when sitting around the table playing trivia very squishy and uncomfortable! Lower tables and chairs would be better..please???

Have been here a couple of times recently and the steak and vegetables were of great quality each time and the taste reflected that. For the price point it’s hard to go wrong here!

Good place for a good feed

Just tried the stake sandwich!! Omg… no joke, the best stake sandwich ive ever had… The atmosphere was great, and i was impressed by the service. The manager on duty, Jason, was very upbeat and friendly, made me feel welcome and i felt like a local even though this was my first time. I will be back,

This place has improved 100%. The food is beautiful and they have a dish for everyone.

Had lunch there recently. Had a steak, and my wife had a beef salad. Both were well presented, well seasoned, and well worth the price. The servings were a good size, and the service was friendly and welcoming. The Rocksia is pretty much across the road, and while it looks a little prettier, the Banksia wins on food.

Up there with the best pub food in Sydney. We had a bunch of different entrees and 7 different mains and there wasn’t a scrap of food left behind. Good quality ingredients, everything was fresh and well cooked and presented. They play whatever sport is on and the service is really friendly. Great neighbourhood pub for groups big and small. 10/10.

Friendly service, great value food and good variety of options on the menu for our whole family. We had a big table of 13 and we were all impressed with the lunch.

Blown away by the quality of the food especially for the price. Amazing service, friendly staff. And my God. I have never seen someone put so much effort into cleaning a kitchen at the end of the night. I have worked in alot of kitchens and never once seen someone go to this much effort. This deserves more than 5 stars. Keep up the quality goods guys.

We had a birthday function here and were blown away with the food and the service. The chef communicated with us directly to make sure the menu was organised and could cater for our gluten free guests. The skewer platters and sauces were so tender and tasty and the pizzas were delicious too. The wait staff were so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

When for Taco and Wings Tuesday. It was excellent 👌 we ate 16 Tacos and 20 Wings for Two Adults and Two Teens. The most expensive part was the drinks/alcohol, Two rounds for the adults and 1 round of juice and a cola for the teens. So the pp is a bit skewed.
