Great little bar for live music

Very reasonable drink prices, chill vibes

Love this quirky little bar and entertainment venue. Have seen several great performances here and the friendly staff are most welcoming. As are the clientele and varied performers. Highly recommend attending the gigs here, as have been constantly surprised and delighted.

Great night

I really can't express just how special and wonderful this place is. I'm a nobody from the other side of the world and I've found genuine care and support here. From my experience, the regulars here are Good People and the vibe is wonderfully and joyfully queer. My weird dream for the last decade or so was to have friends and a pub to go to with them. I found it here and it's honestly shocking the care and compassion the community here has for each other, and that includes the care the owners have for regulars, one times, and the community in general. The highest compliment I can give is that I feel safe and welcome here. This is truly a special place.

Not sure if they sell food but amazing atmosphere and some of the best people I’ve met in my time in Australia. Great spot to do a set and find your creative soul.

I was at karaoke at banshees. I had good night. Just my troubles entering songs. Just tweak that it would be great.

Fantastic live music venue. We saw Dana Gehrman and band here and one of the best live shows I've seen.

What a great little community hub! It feels like hanging out with family. I was there on open mic night and the overall vibe was so encouraging for everyone who 'had a go'. Definitely worth a visit which will probably turn into many visits.

Best bar in Queensland, supporting the local art and music scene, great vibe, wonderful owners, get down and support them otherwise the cookie cutter, coles/Myer/ owned, pokies heavy bars will take over everything and there will be no more Saints, or Powderfingers, or regurgitators, or butterfingers or butterfly effects or go betweens coming out of Queensland ever again

The Cheers theme song plays in my head any time I visit! A true local gem who support local art and music of every genre. The art is awesome! 👌

Banshee's is the cream of the crop for a night out in Ipswich, hands down. A genuinely welcoming and supportive place always bigging up local music and arts.

Banshee's is a location here in Ipswich. I have become a bit of a regular, particularly for the monthly Palace Ipswich drag show (every second Saturday of the month) and stop in at Thursday's karaoke on occasion. Banshee's also hosts live performances across a variety of genres. I've gone along to a few bands and a comedy show here. Great atmosphere, awesome bar staff. Recommend for the locals and those visiting from all over.

Affordable friendly service with a whimsy and charm seen no where else in ipswich! As a local artist I Love that they give us artists the opportunity to show and even sell art in their space. Banshees is a safe space and almost a home away from home.

Been going here for years now. Fantastic safe space to have some fun. Mostly patronised by the alternative scene, encourages local artists of all kinds, great music, friendly staff/owners and definitely lgbtq+ positive.

This venue is always so welcoming of myself and my family ! I struggle with anxiety and always feel at home and so comfortable when I am there Al & Tim have made this venue such an amazing space to come to ! I look forward to coming there always ! Keep up this great safe space ! Xx

I came to listen to music and do open 🎤, I was talking to 3 people out front. I was refused entry because a person inside was worried about me, she sa me I wanted to ignore them all and have fun This place is not a safe space for victims of assault LAINEY IS NOT A GOOD PERSON

A really comfortable and arty space, very atmospheric.

One of the best venues operating in SE QLD. I loved everything about this place. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, drinks were reasonably priced, bands were great and the patrons were a lovely bunch and I caught up with some fine people.

Completely non-judgmental space. Even if you come here for the first time, you are met with locals who will greet you as if you are already a part of their friend group. They provide a large range of alcoholic spirits & liqueurs, and among the basics are a variety of exotic choices—from a selection that regularly gets updated. From beers by local craft breweries, to tequilas with names I've never heard of. It seems as if there are always new things to try. Music and live performances are an integral part of this place, so highly recommended for those who just want to kick back & relax; and those who want to try their hand in hopping on the stage on open mic Wednesday nights, or live-karaoke Thursday nights.

Drinks are half the price of around the corner (Baileys). This bar is great for big A Arts and little a arts folk alike. Check out what's on exhibit. Inhabited by creative creatures and culture vultures, enhancing your probability of quality, or at least interesting conversation. Small enough Karaoke to reduce any humiliation upon epic failure to hold tune or read prompts.There's no food but packs of crisps and treats of surprising variety. It was recently sold, but observing the warm changeover unfolding, I can't see much of the charm wearing off. A drive by will show what's on via the signage in the window. Feat. a small breakout foyer room to have a private conversation.

Banshees is one of those places you hold on to in your heart. Fantastic venue, great bar selection, wonderful staff and such fun eclectic events you won't find anywhere else. Thanks for the memories, and more to come!

Great local venue to see bands. Small but great atmosphere and sound when we saw Dreamkillers. Staff were fantastic. Can't wait to see another band there.

Very groovy little joint. I've seen a number of bands here and it's always fun. The local artwork on display is usually really good and the staff are always friendly.

This place is unreal! Bar staff and owners were amazing to talk to after the bands were finished. A cozy little gem of a bar tucked away in the centre of Ipswich! Will definitely be back here and 100% recommend everyone to visit this place.

Ken and Nina are absolutely amasing, any cocktail or shot you can think of they are capable, pop by for an Alien Brain Hemmorage, you won't regret it

Such a gorgeous little place! Intimate and fun also has really interesting artists perform here. Bar is manned by really friendly staff and we had a really fun night out here singing along with The Salty Sirens

Bestest place to play in the Ipswich community.

Fun and friendly environment

We went to a gig on a Friday night. Playing were Death by Carrot, PistonFist and Odysseus. This was a sold out event. Despite this, there was no feeling of being overcrowded. It was a wonderfully quirky space, with interesting art in abundance. The decor was funky and much of the art was for sale. The bar was impressively stocked and the staff were friendly and efficient. The bar prices were surprisingly low. The sound of the venue was first rate. This would be a great space to spend time with friends, alone or with someone special. Highly recommended.

Very nice cosy place, perfect for a enjoyable drink and a spread or music. Range of alcohol is solid and the bar tender has great recommendations.

Wow wat a breathe of fresh air... luv this place wish we had come in earlier .. wonderful 70's - 80's music.. very friendly clientel.. awsum original art work with the Artist" in residence.. wonderful happy couple running the bar ... very reasonable priced drinks.. was only there for a short time but cld of spent all night there.. glad I came here.. go check this place out.. I'm sure u will luv it"
