Shae was awesome!

Group of up to 8 had been going to the Beach Hotel every month for over 2 years until the service and food deteriorated so badly. Recently advised that there were new owners who were eager to make a change for the better so decided to give it another try today. Very disappointed, the chicken sandwich was served on cold soggy toasted bread. As I see by most reviews, there was only one person doing everything on her own. We were not greeted on arrival and ignored as we walked through to our table. Waited extended time for service, had to go to the bar for drinks, then another long wait for food while people in after us were served their lunch well after our party. Lights over the table were out so semi darkness. All things that the owners are well aware of from reviews on this page. Won’t be giving it another try in a hurry.

Was ok for a pub food was not bad but some details missing. Peeling prawns no dish for cleaning fingers. No anchovies when specifically was asked if we wanted them. Table left uncleared. Coffee forgotten after ordering. These are little things but most impressionable. Sorry won't be back.

We went there for a function. But drinks were much cheaper in another part of the hotel, so people were going to the cheaper drinks area for drinks & leaving the function. I thought that was really crappy to do that to people.

Never got served after 22 minutes though others who arrived after us were. We gave up and walked out.

Why would you get rid of ALL vegan options? Your staff don’t even know what vegan is. Disappointment is an understatement. And don’t forget how you got rid of all live music, too. What used to be my favourite place to dine and party in the south, now is a complete write off. None of my friends or family go here anymore. You’ve lost many loyal customers. It might be time to rethink your poor business decisions. -- Edit: I see your response and I apologize, I should have explained in more depth. The only vegan options you offer on your online menu are a $24 halloumi salad without the halloumi and a $22 eggplant parmi without the cheese or chips. I thought perhaps your vegan menu is not online, so I contacted the restaurant to enquire. The person who answered the phone did not know what vegan was, let alone what items on your menu are, or could be made vegan. Their service was unhelpful. For years, your restaurant offered a dedicated vegan menu with upward of 6 thoughtful options. These options included vegan cheese and condiments, and even a dedicated vegan dessert. My personal favourite was the vegan eggplant parmy, which included a vegan cheese topping with a side of vegan-friendly chips and salad with vegan dressing, for roughly the same price. Going from that level of service to quite genuinely ZERO specifically vegan options, and ZERO thoughtful alteration options, on your menu - in 2024, I should add - is beyond disappointing. Looking on your website, I can see that on Sundays you do have a live acoustic performance, so I apologize for that. This, however, is very different to the live music that used to be offered at your venue. With themed music nights such as the popular 90's and R&B nights, DJs, and our beloved local bands, you would find the Beach Hotel venue packed and lively on nearly any weekend or holiday. When I have driven past on a weekend more recently, the carpark has been close to empty, and next to no diners or partiers can be seen in the outside spaces. It's really sad. To recreate this outing experience, we have to go elsewhere, since this is not offered at your hotel anymore. I don't know why you've made these changes, when I'm sure your business has suffered for it, and they are not positive changes. Compared to how it was: your menu is severely lacking, (judging from other reviews) your food quality is cheap and poor, your service is abysmal, and your venue is honestly depressing. I hope you'll change it back, or even make it better than before, so that your customers will have a more positive experience.

Handy local hotel with nice selection of pub food. Well cooked and presented.

Every thing here is great except the price!

This was not a “bad” experience and the staff were quite attentive. I don’t think they’re supported by the management. The children’s playground is “damaged” and out of use and I understand it’s been like that for a while. The beer taps in the dining area, not working! The soap dispenser in the men’s toilet, not working. The entry door to the men’s toilet absolutely covered in dirty finger marks! I was overcharged for my meal and ended up with a cash refund. Took several minutes to resolve holding up other customers. Not the staff member’s fault. It is a lack of training. Whoever or whatever the management is doing here - needs a very big jolt! Sorry, but none of this is that hard. Someone should take ownership and provide customers who might return with a classy experience!

Had lunch there with a friend on the 25 th Jan, food was yummy and the service was very good, the toilets were clean which isn’t always the case in other places, we were happy

we came here for dinner on the 21/1 and was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. Emma was a great waiter and had great customer service and we will definitely be back!!

Visiting from QLD and had a quick visit before home on Friday had an excellent experience food was amazing and top service from the bistro manager Dylan who was very welcoming and also recommended the Barramundi witch was delicious our family will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Adelaide and will be recommending the Beach Hotel to our good friends in QLD

Waiting staff were understaffed but they where brilliant - even under pressure - they were so nice with there interaction's with patrons. Dylan has such a great approach and the hotel are lucky to have him. Well done team.

Three stars for atmosphere as the music at 6pm on a Sunday was very loud and techno in the dining room. It could have been pleasant if it was taken down a notch! Four stars for service only because we ordered on the app only to find out the app didn’t work. Was quickly rectified. Shay was wonderful! Food was fantastic cannot fault it. Great pub food.

The food was lovely. More than enough to fill anyone's belly. Table service. Prices acceptable and affordable. Pop in and keep jobs active.

While the food was good, the service was a different story. Staff did not seem like they wanted to be there with no smile or friendly attitude, and little to no customer engagement. Dessert took longer than mains to come out… which all we ordered was slices of cake on the menu??

Ate here with a friend while visiting Moana. I had the schnitzel with gravy and it was one of the best I've had for years! My friend had the lamb and she says the same, it was all delicious. The venue itself is very nice and it was a great place to sit and eat after a long day of travelling.

Holly had the best customer service and was very friendly, 10/10.

Went for lunch on Saturday January 8th. Ordered a coffee only to be told they had no milk! We were told because of all the public holidays, the deliveries were delayed (8 days after New Year’s Day. Now this hotel is next to a shopping centre and it would not have taken 5 minutes for someone to go and buy some milk. When my friend and I ordered snitzel for lunch, we were told they had no chicken… They also did not have wedges! Needless to say, we walked out (to the puzzlement of the waitress!)

Great atmosphere and food. Lovely Emma served us very friendly and polite nice to see a happy smiling face as you are welcomed.

We came down for a birthday the other day! First time being here. The food was good, wait time a little longer than normal but bearable. Super happy with the service, we had Kieren that looked after our table, great service and made the experience very enjoyable. Great work young Kizza.

Monday night dinner for 3 people not overly busy but by 7.30pm had already run out of beef schnitzels, super dry kegs and arancini balls. Food came out in good time but took 30mins to receive our drinks. Food was ok but definitely overpriced for the quality. Some of the server staff need a refresher course in customer service skills. Definitely won’t be back.

I've always had great meals here and no complaints, however when dining in for lunch recently there was only one staff member working behind the bar and serving/seating customers. I do commend her for doing the absolute best that she could possibly do by herself but we had to wait a long time just to be seated and then for service, drinks to arrive at our table and food etc. Again, most other times we've been there we've enjoyed our meals and had no issues with service but I don't know why there was only one staff member other than the chef working this day, it was very poor management but well done to the girl for being professional and doing her best in such an unfair situation.

Needs fly screens on the windows and they need to be open on hot days or stand up fans with big good for next Christmas the staff members that helped me with everything I needed especially during the time where I was suffering from a broken leg they went out that we're very lovely where.. ☆Tamika☆ ☆Lorelai☆ ☆Emma☆ ☆Lily☆ Thanks for the help

Went here for the first time and it was an okay experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However the food wasn't that great, the atmosphere felt empty. I found the chairs a little uncomfortable and the food took awhile to arrive even though it wasn't busy at the time. All in all, it was a decent experience and wanted to provide my review. I would give zero stars if it was an option. Extremely dissapointed with our meals, my friend had her meal sent back because it looked half eaten when it arrived, within 2 minutes of placing the order! To make things worse, I ordered a hallumi salad which had 2 small pieces... but I added salt and pepper squid and to my disgust, received a squid beak! That was just the kicker to the lacking hallumi and soggy salad. I told the staff and sent an email and have received no reply from the hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

We went here for my 60th birthday dinner.( you need to bring your own cake as they don't supply). It wasn't very busy on a Tuesday night, but still recommend to book. The staff were very attentive. The food was great, there was no complaints anywhere around the table. You can split your bill at the end of the night. There is on-site parking, which we didn't have trouble, but if it is busy, you might. If you enjoy my reviews, please follow us.

This place was dead for a Friday night and closed at 11:30. Looks like it would be good, but no atmosphere, we were the only people in the beer garden, and there were maybe 15 people inside.

EDIT: after recent visit dec 2024, realised the service and food quality has changed and not as great. It was also a very hot day and everything was open and un-airconditioned. Table service no longer a thing either. Great place and lovely meals. Everyone at our table was happy with their food and table service was a nice touch ;) staff were friendly, there is ample seating. Will be good to see bathrooms get a bit of maintenance next.

Came for dinner with my friend and wanted to pass on my thoughts about the staff. The red headed female was very kind and caring to us and also a male was kind too. Good sense of humour and I appreciate them for their hard work :)

Well, let me tell you a story... Upon arrival, paid drinks are forgotten by bar staff and they had screwed up our reservation and we were made to wait well past our reservation time to be seated but we had to find our own table and had to ask for menus. No water was brought to the table - you have to probably ask for that. The salt shaker was totally empty. We ordered and waited a long time for our food. Fair call, it was busy. The entire place was so hot that menus became excellent personal fans. We had to yell to be heard by anybody. The food finally arrived... Lord have mercy. The prawn pizza was cold in the centre and was sent back to the kitchen. The chicken sandwich was cold and was sent back to the kitchen. The pork belly came with runny gravy. Two steak sandwiches came out - no steak knives for either but the chicken sandwich had come out with a steak knife. No ketchup on the steak sandwiches. Both were dry. One had a steak that was raw at one end and well done at the other. House seasoned chips with no seasoning on both steak sandwiches. The pizza comes back with the cold but cut out and hidden under rocket lettuce and so over cooked it had shrunk and looked overcooked. A brand new, fresh chicken sandwich also came out eventually. The pizza was returned for a refund, it looked dreadful. After lots of yelling to be heard and trying to salvage meals and eat around the undercooked or gross bits, we ordered dessert... Or we tried to. Cheesecake was ordered... Only it wasn't. Further desserts were ordered and the bill paid but the first cheesecake was MIA on the bill. Another ridiculously long wait and two desserts come out... With nothing to eat them with. Finger ood apparently. Honestly, none of us were impressed at all. The whole experience took disappointment to a new level and we won't be returning.

I went to beach hotel on my 25th birthday and I can confidently say I had a fantastic night. Holly served me for the entire night and she gave me friendly and enthusiastic service for the time I was there. The atmosphere was great and the venue was well looked after.

If you like to be treated like an inconvenience by staff, this is the place to be. Not sure what's happened to this place, it used to be really good but we won't be back. Terrible service, average food. It's not hard to put a smile on (even if fake) and take pride in your work. I definitely sense unhappy staff. If you treat and train your staff well, it reflects in there work. Happy staff equals good service and returning customers. Very disappointing experience. FYI, I went to Hungry Jack's instead. Hungry Jack's were happier to see me than Beach hotel. Please don't message in response to this beach hotel. I already discussed this with you. FYI to you're management reply. You are the first comment to this review. I deleted no old comments. I just edited my own personal review. So thankyou for your false accusations. When I first eat at this place I loved it, then the last few times food was crap. Today my husband and I come back for lunch and we were sitting in the bar area, I had a chicken bacon anchovies ceaser salad it was disgusting couldn't find the chicken, hundreds of croutons, bacon was tiny mini pieces, I was eating lettuce with croutons that's all were in my plate didn't even finished it disgusting. My husband had a burger he said was extremely dry he eat half of it and the rest left it in the plate. $28 for a crap croutons lettuce which wasn't any meat in it just ridiculous. Not coming back and for sure not recommending to anyone and I'll make sure im going to tell to everyone. Disgusting food and ridiculous prices.

The service I received tonight from Darcy was truly phenomenal. She was an absolute delight and very friendly. I brought my mum to the Seaford Hotel for her first time and we all absolutely loved the service. Food was excellent and Darcy was able to accommodate my partner’s dietary restrictions beautifully. Asked for well done steak come bleeding on plate sent back come back exactly the same so didn't bother eating also asked for no dressing on salad and come with dressing will not be returning

0 stars - We arrived before 6.00pm. There was barely anyone there when we arrived. The menu is not as good as it use to be. Very little options. We were told it was table service. It took over 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our order. We ordered and waited… and waited.. and waited.. until I went up and asked if our order was coming, because by now the restaurant was full and people that came well after us, already had their meals…. About 10-15 minutes after I had asked, waiting almost an hour.. a lady comes out and says, “so sorry, your order didn’t go through properly” and said “don’t worry about paying for you drinks” when we had already paid for all of our drinks.. We got up and left… not going back.. ever!

Came into the front bar for a bit of a lunch with my husband and son. New guy Kyle was so friendly. Brought our food out to us in no time. Look forward to coming back.

Probably closer to 2 stars, but I feel they need a second chance. Food was okay, staff were friendly and attentive. Very poor kids menu, some better options are needed. No soap in the bathroom and no hand sanitizer in the pokie room. Will try again, but the McLaren Vale and Aldinga are overall better pubs

We had a table of 24 for an 80th birthday get together. Service was absolutely amazing and the food was fabulous. Special mention to Dylan he was amazing with my 5yo niece. He did everything he could to make her feel comfortable and get exactly what she wanted to eat. Everyone present enjoyed the food. They didn’t charge extra for taking our own cake and were happy to provide extra plates and cutlery. Live music was excellent. We had a wonderful day. Thank you Dylan and all the staff that helped make our day special.

Liam our waiter was really helpful friendly and extremely efficient. He was happy to help and bring what ever we needed. He is truly as asset to your team and deserves a payrise.

The place is looking great since the revamp. Had a steak sandwich was delicious! We were greeted and waited on by a nice young fella named Liam, who was both speedy and professional. We will be back 😊

Had lunch today 31/10/24,very disappointing as the seniors menu is very limited.I chose the Pie and gravy, it came out burnt on top and not even warm let alone hot. The gravy had no flavour and was very watery. On leaving to pay for our seniors meals both @ $20 the staff member charged me $48, which I firmly responded was incorrect,so not a good experience.

Staff was very welcoming AT THE END of Dining! They made our tailored meals delightful 😊 😃

I ate at the Seaford hotel on Sunday 27/10/2024. I ordered prawn pizza,pizza under cooked ,prawns over cooked.

Bit disappointing food came out with wrong sauce on dishes we had to switch our sauce s asked for no rocket and came out with rocket snity and chips overcooked

We booked for my birthday dinner, fairly large party. We were told there was a wait for our meals which was fine. However the wait staff were very rude & unwelcoming. I asked for some extra sauce for my daughter & was pretty much met with an eye roll & when it arrived it may as well have been thrown at me. The same with someone else on my table. Their attitudes pretty much sucked so we won’t be returning unfortunately.

1 star to high we were put out in the out side undercover area the tables were covered in dirt , dust , stuff. Was awful told there would be table service. Not sure how long is an appropriate wait but it was long looked at the menu and we all said is this it surely not. After no service for a drink decided to go . We left glad we did we tried 8 months before and said never again and we did big mistake.

Went to watch a footy final there. Kitchen was closed and seemingly all staff had no idea what was going on. They couldn’t find the iPad to control the audio for the venue and therefore couldn’t put the game audio on. Staff attempted to help by turning the TVs volume up but we had music blaring I the background. Could by a frozen ham and cheese sandwich they bought from the servo but this place needs some help.

Currently not serving food until Oct 4th. Has gone up and down in waves when it comes to quality of food. Different chefs, different menus. Reasonable pub meals.
