Nightcap at Findon Hotel

“I recently stayed at the Findon Hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I had an early morning work commitment, but at around 2 a.m., the fire alarm went off, which disrupted my sleep, and I struggled to rest properly afterward. Additionally, the room lacked a microwave, and the air conditioner did not function effectively, which impacted my comfort during the stay. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.”

Solo traveller for work, no support network to call. I was locked out of my room for over an hour at 430am after a fire alarm went off. Took over an hour to get back in and I was never offered an apology or any discount. If you are not a confident traveller and no one to contact for emergency help give this place a miss.

The worst bed we ever slept. The springs are almost flat.we haven't slept at all. The service and the food are really great. (And there's old gum on the right lamp. 🤮)

Room smells like someone was smoking in there 2 minutes ago

Had the studio apartment and was modern with plenty of room. Order room service which was good steak cooked as requested.

Clean and ready for use

Room 14 was clean didnt hear any road noise. Staff awesome ,late check in,handy to airport only downfall aicon heater was playing up and beds are extremely soft no good for anyone with back problems. Soft to the point of being u shaped to sleep . They offer a free drink card for one on tap beer or wine .Bathroom whilst small looks like recently refurbished would definitely stay again if it wasn't for the soft beds. No good if you don't do stairs 2 flights of steps to rooms

Great comfortable room staff all lovely meals mmm.... I found there not a fan of real vegetables cause when I asked for vegetables all I received was potatoes quarter's small portions and about two small same pumpkin no greens carrots... .. other than that it was great.

Didn't check out the room's or anything so sorry I can't comment on that! But had soft drink and a ten dollar flutter on the money taking machine and they did ! Lovely Lady behind the bar very good service with beautiful manners and a smile to go a mile ! Good fun over all?😁👍

We had lunch there and have quite often over time. The service is always great, friendly and obliging. I had the Asian salad bowl, the meal was super fresh but lacked in flavour. The dressing tasted like watered down soy sauce, it needs better balance of flavour. Could have done with a crunch element like crispy onions and bean shoots or both. We will definitely be back though, like the pub.

A cosy little hotel on top of a pub. The room was quite nice, no complaints except for the balcony which didn’t offer much of a view. It smelt like cigarettes had a big aircon unit which was very loud. There were signs asking guests to be quiet, however I never heard any other guests except if they walked past the room. I also ate dinner here. I had a chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce and it was delicious! Very well priced also

The pillowcases was mot that clean

It was up a couple of flights of stairs. The entrance smelled musty/moldy. The room was much smaller than expected, a shoebox really. The balcony was unusable - it was very small and behind a screen was an industrial air conditioner that was noisy as it clunked on and off not far from the window. The balcony was basically a pretty awful space for smokers. The walls must be thin as it was quite noisy. An overpriced shoebox with a view of an industrial airconditioner.

I need to time alone

Had dinner here with some friends. We decided to have the special. To have the special, you can only order via the on table QR code and not at the counter. This meant my friend who did not want ham on her dish had no choice but to take it off after receiving it. The most insulting part was the app defaults to asking for a tip. In Australia tips are.for exceptionally good service. You most definitely do not get a tip for forcing me to hand over my personal details to order a below average Chicken Schnitzel.

Great room, great service. Great location. Lots of food options close by. ( don't book room 7- noisy outside a/c). Can also have very late checking if you ask them. Our number one choice in area. Keepsafe and Complete Car and Van hire very close by. Plus airport a short taxi ride away.

Comfy hotel with dining nearby. Room was small and the outside lights kept the room lit up all night. Stairs were are problem.

Photos are incredibly deceiving and look nothing like the room. The bathroom is very small and run down. Very loud floors and thin walls, and was very noisy throughout the night. Location was great, however would not reccommend staying here.

A fantastic stay. I stayed at the Nightcap at Findon for 3 nights. The staff were friendly. The rooms are situated on the first floor above the pub, but the rooms were really quiet. The rooms are clean and tidy and tastefully decorated, the bed is comfortable and have everything you need. I found the power points with USB charger extremely helpful.

Rooms are very well designed. Bed very comfortable and room as new with upgrade. Very friendly staff. Great food at hotel. Love the two free drinks and 20% off food for pensioners staying in accommodation. Online check in makes it a breeze. Easy parking. Quite a few steps to accommodation which is fine unless you need single storey which is not available. Our third stay.

The rooms are clean and well serviced, could benefit having a chair at the desk and a comfy chair in the corner, there is plenty of room. The hotel sells lovely meals, you get a free drink voucher at check in and 10% of your meal. Handy to the airport and you can get to most places relatively easily.

Quality of service , staff was very professional and helpful top class.

Great location. Quiet rooms - couldn't hear any outside noise. Awesome service - nothing was too much trouble.

Staff were excellent in reception gaming and dining . Room was comfortable and clean and all complimentary add ons were a great surprise. Will definitely use the nightcap group again .Thankyou

Had a nice stay for 7 days at Nightcap, in a convenient spot with shops only 5 mins walk away. Room service everyday, housekeeper was nice and smiley as had a little chat. I liked that they refill the complimentary tea/ coffee sachets everyday along with the milk in the fridge. Bed was comfy and overall a nice place to stay. Only downside is can hear people moving around in their room by floorboards creaking, squeaky doors. Thanks guys.

If there was a zero star option that would be more deserving. Check the place out before booking as there are no refunds, staff are terribly rude and the photos could not be more deceiving.

This was a last minute booking, made less than 24 hours prior to arriving. When we booked in we realised that the accommodation was not suited to our needs. Nightcap refused to refund us our booking as they have a clause stating no refunds within 24hr of checking in. We found that the reception was untidy. The stairwell to the accommodation was mouldy and dusty. Also the bedroom was musty and the beds was extremely soft, not suited to people with back problems. There is no consideration in terms of COVID distancing for people checking in and people moving in and out of the male lavatory. There is also no social distancing space on the stairwell. I will not recommend this establishment.

Had booked a room then was contacted to say that it was all confirmed then they called to say they already had someone else take the booking. Not impressed. Will not be using this hotel ever again
