Supporting Veterans and Their Families
The Burnie RSL Sub-Branch is a charity dedicated to the welfare and betterment of current and ex-serving members. Our primary objectives include:
- Providing support to veterans and their families.
- Acknowledging Australian Defence Force service.
- Encouraging conversation and mateship between those who have served and their communities.
ANZAC Day and Cameron Baird VC MG Medal
Every year during the week of ANZAC Day, the Burnie Dockers Football Club plays in honor of Corporal Cameron Baird. RSL club members select a player who embodies Corporal Baird’s values and award the Cameron Baird VC MG Medal. In 2024, the medal was awarded to Bailey Boag.
For more information, visit Cam’s Cause.

Food quality only sore point. Seems like everything is overcooked or deep fried. Maybe look into the equipment you use and adjust some settings /do a deep PM clean on it. Great service
Borring
Great singing by Gina Timms
Excellent staff, very thoughtful, full of energy and great service that is so quick .
Great little branch of a widely supported organisation.
What a delightful experience
Quirky, small and outstanding friendly. Huge servings of meals, quick and tasty.
Really good honest food served by really nice people. Good kids menu, reasonable. Will go back if in Burnie again.
Its a nice quiet place. Pleasant and never rushed. There is a fair chance you wi be the only person in there.
Beautiful meals, value for your money and friendly staff. You are fussy if this place doesn't check all the boxes, with its great atmosphere.
Great club and friendly people.
Great people, fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere. Food is priced fairly well compared to other establishments in the area, so it is my go to place for a feed. Great hub also for minor community clubs too.
Best place in Burnie for a meal.Atmosphere fantastic and very affordable
For a club that is struggling it always puts on a good feed for Anzac day breakfast after the dawn service
Happy Days
After a recent reception there, I changed my mind, they do cater for good meals.
Great food, great staff, what more is there to say

Great Meal
Was a great success this morning. Had a wonderful time catching up with friends. Lots of goods from the trade table. Well done to the organizers.
Great food.
We had a fantastic night at the Burnie RSL thanks everyone that turned up & to Adele & all the staff thankyou so much
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Spacious, great smoking area, they do meals, another one of those Havens in life, no elevator though, if you don't have a car, you'll have to climb the stairs like me, not fun.
Friendly volunteers, great atmosphere, $5 schooners
Good food
Good atmosphere, food and cheap pints
My father and I eat lunch here every Friday and the food and service is always great. The manager is a real live wire and makes us feel very welcome. He has redecorated a lot of the club recently to bring it into the 21st century. The staff are attentive and very friendly The food is always good. portion sizes are just right for lunch and very well priced - much better than local pubs. Beers are cheap too! It's relatively quiet as its Burnie's best kept secret - anyone can go there but a lot of people think you have to be an old soldier to get in. The secret must have got out as there are more people there each Friday.
