Went to the store to get a cricut machine for my wife for Christmas. The salesman was a complete jerk

One Star to Horrendous shopping experience from the one and only Bedding department owner Luke. Five stars to Appliances Department. Experience has been Great as always, everyone was helping. Special thanks to manager Richard over there. Went there 2 weeks ago, staff encouraged us to put a deposit on Mattresses to secure stock and promised will match Boxing Day deal later for us. On 23rd, went back and confirmed with another staff member again Boxing Day Deal will be matched. Paid the rest amount, because they could not book a delivery date without the bill paid off. 26th, Boxing Day came back for price matching, None of the staff helped us were there. Greeted by this Luke, He claimed he won’t match the Boxing day 10% gift card offer, he could only match the price drop. And told me he was already being nice as I could leave with nothing. Started to do the price matching with numbers short. After correcting that.Found out instead of refund us, he charged us extra for the price difference. Redid the refund. I had way too much till now and requested to speak to a manager to do a return.He said no you can’t return it. I said why not it is brand new, i will go to Cambridge store buy them. You are losing this sale. Then he quickly stood up and walk away from me pointing the sign on the wall yelling from distance “you can’t return it, i am the owner and will not talk to you anymore.” Shocked by this horrendous customer service from the owner. By the way there were other customers who just finished their payment witnessed everything, shocked as me. I don’t know what do they feel about their purchase after that. You should win some prize Luke. Good on you.

I go to this store because I always get good service.

I have to tell you , I love ironing . So much I decided to upgrade from my old trusty ( really only good for napkins ) to the BRAUN CARESTYLE 9. Mark was absolutely amazing at helping me find the perfect product for my needs ( high turnover of linen - daily ) that would suit my old lady tennis elbow issues . I just gave this beast a go - happily names her Bettie as she quartered my ironing time . Also a shout out to Mel who was very proactive in talking up extended warranty . Such a great experience. My husband and I visited Hobart City store today, to purchase all appliances for our kitchen renovation. The service that Ethan gave us was excellent, made us feel very relaxed. He was so helpful, he knew all about the particular products we were after. We would recommend asking for Ethan if you need anything in the electrical dept.

We called to buy Photos while visiting from Queensland. Whilst waiting we browsed in the furniture area. It is here that customer service excellence was achieved. A young girl MEL attended to our enquiries and was super attentive to our needs. Mel showed us a lounge suite we loved and as a result we bought one over the phone from our home store in Warwick Queensland. If we could have bought it and got it home we would have definitely bought it from MEL. A huge thank you goes out to MEL for looking after us so well.

Very bad experience with customer service today. Enquired with customer service staff SAM, and was sarcastic and rude! Totally unhelpful, which is contrary to what you expect from a customer service staff! Such a rare bad experience from Harvey Norman Hobart. On the other hand, we bought a King size mattress & the staffs from beds & manchester have been consistently lovely & helpful!

Buying a computer is not as simple as buying a load of bread. The sales people must have a reasonable knowledge of computers to advise you of the best choice for you.

Unfortunately I bought an expensive laptop and had to return it.Damien was helpful and understood our situation which they gladly returned.Simon

Good deal always

I specifically came back to buy a giant rug for my living room here because Steve & team were so friendly and helpful. It's a huge bonus, of course, that my rug is gorgeous. I should also mention Cynthia upstairs whose service was also brilliant - I would've made a point out of buying a couch from her had I been able to get the one I wanted as quickly as I needed.

You always have someone trying to help you because they are on commission but nice to get service whatever the reason.

The service is always great here. I am also surprised to find out this store is one of the only place in Hobart still recycles broken TV. All other council places include waste management just told me to dump it in the tip. Thanks so much for looking after our environment. You guys deserved a big thumb up. 👍👍

Went with a friend to purchase a new computer. Service was pretty good, staff member discounted items, including a couple of small purchases I made. Unfortunately, the person at the register didn't put everything through at a discounted price. Check your receipts before leaving the store.

Waited for 10 minutes to be served at Audio at 2pm on Wednesday . . . Walked out and purchased elsewhere. Very average.

Was advised at time of purchase the $99 delivery fee included unboxing and assembly of the item. When this did not occur the staff at the store expressed no interest in my concern.

I have purchased at least 10 different items from Harvey Norman Hobart store. The service was good,I enjoyed shopping there and I have had no problems with the purchased items.

Helpful staff and good range of products, however prices are usually a bit higher than market value! Also, there is no free installation for washing machines! That would be great if customers could benefit of such free installation services at least!

The pressure of salespeople constantly checking if I needed assistance wasn't as great this visit (I appreciate that they rely on commissions and have sales targets). When told I was happy to browse I was left alone until I asked for information. Appreciated this.

I have just moved to NEWTOWN and have furnished it with Harvey Norman. All electrical from Tele to kettle with so much help from RACHAEL. All my furniture inside and out with so much help and advise from RACHEL the items that had to be ordered I was kept informed of the whereabouts and delivery, without all the support I am getting I don’t think my move would be as enjoyable. Also the delivery men they are cheerful helpful and well just nice. No amount of stars can rate how good the staff at HARVEY NORMAN HOBART CITY ARE.
