Not many places where you can hire a venue like this and provide your own catering. Great views.

Clovelly bowling and recreation club - great view, but did you invent it? If I’m paying $28 dollars for a jug of ale I expect dinner and a show, not a handful of pokies machines and a half cold mushroom pie in a Bain-Marie. I get it - this is the eastern suburbs, we’re dropping $300 on bags every weekend, our dogs are in therapy with Valium prescriptions. Grow up and sell me a $10 pint of VB with a meat raffle. Jesus.

Good place to take a break in the Bondi-Coogee walk

Was very windy the day we played but was fun. Lovely looking out over the water. Shame no restaurant.

We got caught in the rain whilst doing the Coogee-Bondi walk & whilst huddling outside, one of the staff generously invited us in out of the rain. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. It's a wonderful location with fantastic views.

Amazing views and friendly staff. You could easily do whale watching from this location. The bar was small but good, overall. We had a corporate function in the large room, and we all loved it. It's hard to beat these gorgeous views. We loved playing bowls, too. Another bonus is that this place sits right on the Coastal Walk. You could walk to Bondi Beack in 50 min, or to Maroubra in 1.5 hours.

We had a two day corporate workshop here and Matt was so accommodating to our every need. We required extra tables and chairs as we had more guests than initially thought, and Matt very happily snuck the extra seating in without us noticing. The view was phenomenal and the AV set-up suited our needs exactly. It was the perfect venue for our workshop and a beautiful spot to stick around for a drink afterwards and some bowling. Highly recommend!

Had a great day with the family and it’s an undeniably beautiful spot, but couldn’t help but feel the staff and members were sniffy toward non-members. The lady behind the bar was pretty blunt with the kids in our party for no reason. If you’re not happy to deal with the public, don’t let us in?

Very casual… BUT … the location is devine and the staff are just beautiful and so friendly… very relaxed and easy going.. no food but staff happy for you to order in .. if you wish to relax, this is the place for you… 👍🍷🍷

We had a wonderful time playing Lawn Bowls on the weekend. It was many peoples first time playing and Chris from the club was super helpful teaching us the rules and checking in on us during the day. They were accomodating and accessible for people with disabilities. Also , what a view!!! Highly recommend!

Clovelly Bowling & Recreation club is a terrific location to enjoy a group party 🎉 We went for our Christmas party and really enjoyed the beautiful weather and ocean views. You can bring your own food and there’s a bar with a variety of drinks 🍺 🍾🥂🍻

A great place to enjoy a bit of lawn bowling and a cold beer.

On the long coastal walk from Coogee beach to Bondi. This is a very pleasant place to stop have a cold drink and look at the wonderful views. You did have to scan your licence and become a temporary member. Staff friendly and happy to help. Even purchased a Clovelly baseball cap.

Great to do on a sunny day or if you want to do something outdoors with some visitors. Staff are super helpful, the place is clean with a stunning backdrop of the ocean. Cannot beat the view! One of the better bowling clubs in Sydney. Great parking too

We held a wake for our dear friend Shirley Barrett at the club. Greg, Jen, Matt, Dan and the rest of the team were so good, so caring and so generous with their time and facilities. Thank you all so much, you made a tough time much easier for all.

Great place for a day out and the view is to die for

Just last weekend, we held my sister’s wedding at Clovelly Bowling club. I could not recommend this venue higher. Apart from the sensational location and stunning views, the staff could not possibly have been more friendly or helpful. Greg, Pontus, Abbey and the team bent over backwards to ensure the day and evening went smoothly. They were so attuned to the guests that everyone commented on how their service contributed greatly to making it a wonderful day and event. Thank you so much guys.

Fabulous ocean views

The loveliest staff work here!! They are so warm, helpful and teach you how to bowl! This place has INCREDIBLE views - we even saw a number of whales on the weekend!! Can't recommend this place enough!!

What a hidden gem. Great old school bowling club (with active greens) in one of the best spots along the Sydney coast....all with friendly and welcoming staff too. Best of all, I'm fairly sure there's no Pokies here. If there is, they are well hidden. It was great to sit and talk over a beer without that stupid electronic machine music loudly playing in the background.
