Staff were effin awesome

Lunch meals. Good portions, nice salad .

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS PLACE THE STAFF ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET... AND THE FOOD IS 100% FRESH HOT AND DELICIOUS... SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO GO FOR A FEED. THE COLDEST BEER. OR JUST TO SEE A FRIENDLY FACE THE COMMERCIAL HOTEL PORT ADELAIDE HAS YOUR BACK...🥰🥰🥰

I went there for karaoke I had a excellent time will be going again on 15 July as that's when my support worker will be back from holidays at Melbourne

Chicken ceaser salad...very small.. (but nice presentation), not worth $26... for the size of the dish...worth only $13.

We just popped in for a drink and stayed for dinner. Everything was fresh and spot on!

Under new management, Great friendly service. The wings were perfect for a lunch time meal, definitely recommend in honey soy. The lamb platter at $30 needs little improvements though. Drinks list is simple with the standard beverages. Limited Beer on tap as you’d get at a regular pub, not an extensive option at the moment. Check out Karaoke nights and open mic nights hosted by Pigsy. Looking forward to trying more of the new menu.

Fun Night Out with Karaoke and Free Pool I recently visited the Commercial Hotel in Port Adelaide for dinner and karaoke. While the seafood duo I ordered was overcooked, the friendly staff and good service made up for it. The front bar offered free pool, which was a nice bonus. The karaoke was a lot of fun and created a lively atmosphere. The amenities are a bit dated, but overall it was a good night out, and I’d return for the karaoke experience!

Great atmosphere

Order medium rare steak, came out very well done, my partner ordered stout pie didn't come with chips as was written on menu, came out with two pieces of toast. Seems to be really unorganised establishment. Too many pubs to choose from in the port so we won't be coming back.

Jamie & Beck have phenomenal service making you leave with a smile on your face

Great hospitality, best place

Went for Father’s Day lunch. Booked online and got a confirmation but no table reserved for us as had issue with online bookings. All good, staff were very friendly and raced around to get a table set up for us. Ordered our meals (6 items on the menu were unavailable and the menu online is different) at the counter, which I like with a group of people paying separately. Then the food came out. My wife and I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken as it was the healthiest option available. It came out in a soup bowl, size comparable to a side salad for $26.50! Sauce was not home made, barely any lettuce and chicken was dry old warmed up chicken. Very very disappointed. For $26.50 I felt completely ripped off. You need to work on your menu.

Great place to stop and chill. Owners lovely, food, beers & hospitality great

Great day good company & a take away meal was fantastic, even down to pepper gravy on my roast

This place is great. Good old fashioned pub atmosphere. The staff and owners are lovely and happy to accommodate any requests (especially if you want absolutely no chilli 🤣). Good pub menu, cooked really well. We will definitely be coming back. 👍

Good food

We booked for lunch as a group. We ordered at the same time and our meals came out 10/15 minutes apart. The food was over cooked. The stake was over cooked. I was given a normal knife to try and cut it with. It was very cold inside. The bar staff were nice. Overall we were disappointed

The food was amazing a lovely family pub Bec and Jay new owners were so friendly and very professional I can highly recommend this hotel 10 out of 10

Amazing pub and people , run well and such a vibe :)

Awesome pub with great staff!

I would recommend the mixed grill. I left fat dumb and happy. The best vibe .

Great pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff, good vibes and a cute doggy to give pats

Locals are friendly

Lovely little pub with great food, service and dog friendly to boot! Thanks guys keep up the great work! Will be back!

The food was really good with large serves. The service is very friendly. There are lots of outdoor tables available, which are great to sit at in the nice weather. Fantastic live music and the staff generously gave us our coffees for free as a couple of items on the menu hadn't been available. The location is great being near the visitor centre, lighthouse and river with plenty of parking around. Prices are really good too.

I loved this pub so much! I had a delicious spaghetti bolognese, the staff were SUPER friendly, and there was so much to do at this place! From claw machines, to gambling games, and hilarious signs decorating the walls, I 100/10 recommend, a must see on weekends or weekdays. Met both managers and they were so accommodating. All of their dishes were fabulous (compliments to the chef)!

Such a nice place and staffs. We enjoyed the food. Our kids got to decorate their own icecream..how cool!

👍

Good old fashioned pub banter and raffles. Really look after the locals. Especially Bec and Sharpey

My fave pub in the Port friendly staff live entertainment lovely food

Best Sunday Afternoon Great Music Great Food Great Staff we will Be Back very enjoyable thank You

Food awful the music was to loud

Good for a drink, but don’t eat here. As we arrived there was live music on, which we thought would be a nice addition. Shortly after sitting down we realised how loud the music was, and even sitting at the furthest away table outside, we could barely manage a conversation. If you want to walk inside you need to walk directly past the speaker, which definitely hurt your eardrums. We ordered our food and were told there was a wait. No problem at all. We watched food come out to the 4 tables before us and they all had issues. Whether it was gravy being forgotten, or whole orders being forgotten. When our food came out, the chicken masala was chicken in a tomato purée. No curry powders or spices to be heard of. The garlic bread was covered in salt, so bad it was inedible. The schnitzel was fine, but chips were cooked until rock hard and the salad was lettuce and cucumber only. We had one dish forgotten, and when chased up the poor FOH lady had to chase it up for us multiple times. 1.5 hours after ordering we decided to give up, when it was just ready and they had put it in a takeaway, after we agreed a refund would be better. I feel very sorry for the FOH girls who are the face of the venue. Rightly so, they were very embarrassed about our experience. Management needs to look at how this venue is run.

Had lunch at this pub and it was fabulous. We were welcomed by Bec. The food was excellent and delicious. We always have a bottle of wine with our lunch. Here we had an excellent Adelaide Hills wine for $25 - less than one half of the price at many of the other local venues. Also, they were playing some great Aussie music in the background.

Spent 3 months in Port Adelaide was here almost every night, Very friendly staff and the owners Jay and Beck are the best! Get yourself down there.

Great service

Great service and really nice staff. Definitely worth a stop in for a beer or some food

Port Adelaide’s BEST pub!!!!!

Been here a couple of times now. It's like we've been here for the last 20 years. Good vibes!

Have always found this pub hit and miss. Awkward shape but this time there was a sandpit in the front bar with mini table tennis... Loved it. Didn't get a chance to have food but good range of drinks for reasonable prices. Quirky but fun

We'll be back!!!

Terrific pub, awsome atmosphere any nite of the week get amongst it good people 👍🍻 Happy Days!!

Dirty wines glasses, very dirty wouldn’t recommend

If we could give a score of 0 stars for the food we would! We ordered Roast Pork which was the roast of the day. Told it was tender and the crackle delicious. What came was slices of dry roast Pork on roast potatoes and covered in what tasted like ‘butter chicken sauce’. There was no crackle but if there was it would have been smothered in this sauce anyway! This was not a ‘roast of the day’ but leftover Pork disguised with butter chicken sauce! Bloody horrible!!! As it was we had to wait about 45mins and it was so bad that we left most of it on our plates and walked out. We did tell the barman our issue - his response was he too thought it looked “weird”. No offer of money back ( we wouldn’t have accepted just really wanted to give them the feedback) All in all we would never go back there for a meal again. Bar service was good shame about the cook!!! Music was good too.

Nice pub. Can get bit rowdy at weekend depending on clientele.

Lively place with brilliant staff, drinks are genuine 1970s prices, goes off on a Saturday night. Meals are amazing.

Walked in here at 9pm to find them still serving food. I ordered the special - slow cooked brisket. Figuring I'd get the usual pub fare, I was surprised when out comes enough food for about 23 people. The brisket was so delicious I could have licked the plate if it wouldn't have lead to my stomach bursting. The service was friendly and personable and the atmosphere was just quiet enough with the beats. Made sure to tell the concierge at my hotel to send people here before I went up to my room to get the food coma started.

Prime spot, locals are welcoming and friendly. And I can not compliment the bar safe enough, fantastic spot

I did not have food but the rest of my group did and said it was great. Visited on a Monday so pretty quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful, area we dined in was clean and tidy, no complaints.

Loved it! after being refused service at 4 other places on the same road for wearing a battle vest, the owner at the commercial hotel was more than welcoming. Awesome food, awesome staff. I will definitely be going back.

Very pleasant and relaxing meal Good service great food

Seriously good wedges

Went for lunch today. Food very average. After reading reviews we decided to give it a try, most disappointed.

Cracking vibe great staff very friendly locals had commy steak sanga with fries and a draught beer for 20 aussie dollars.

Lovely food and excellent range of drinks on tap, had a fun dinner would recommend

Food was really tasty, I had roast lamb but not a traditional roast with veggies unexpected but nice. Lunch time special great value, friendly staff.

The best view restaurant! The staff (or owner?) is sooooo nice 😊

The Staff are very friendly

Excellent burger. A few good craft beers on tap. The pub has had a nice makeover since we were last in there. Will go back. Did go back and had a nice pizza.

Not only were the meals amazing but the staff were lovely and they had some beautiful live music ☺️💙 total lazy Sunday vibes! Afterwards we went for a short walk along the water 😅 honestly couldn't have planned a better day! Featured is the Roast of the day (lamb), the chicken tacos, and beef nachos 🤤 I'm surprised the place wasn't packed out! It tastes as incredible as it looks!! Approx $20 a plate too 😅

Great staff and great atmosphere!!

We went on an impromptu dinner on a Saturday. The menu is huge with literally something for all ages. The staff were all warm and welcoming. We were told they were having issues with the telephone lines so that will explain why they were quite but I imagine it being quite a buzz when they get that sorted and people are able to easily book.

Good to see another pub in the Port doing good

The previous owner is being a mongrel and stopping the new owners from using the business phones, internet, social media. They are cut off from the outside world. Please help them out.

Very nice but the Karaoke was to loud for my ears

Wonderful food, all the best to the new owners!

Best cocktails ever. Friendly bar staff. Will definitely be back

Wow 20 dollars for a decent beef schnitzel gravy and beer good service in the back bar

Nice Hotel, under new management. The publican is friendly which adds great pleasure in going to the Hotel.

Very tidy , one of ports great ol pubs . Publican very attentive , able meal for price .Very relaxing time there

I’m new to Adelaide and they have one of the best chicken schnitzel I’ve tried.

Great food and great friendly service.....we will definitely be back

Just called in for a drink and it was like stepping back in time like it was yesterday. It's actually been 8 years. Great atmosphere

Great Local pub. It has some good food specials. Great range of tap beers, good place to sit with a beer and relax
