Excellent service on Thursday just gone, had a lovely encounter with one of the staff named Leah she was very efficient bouncing back from the bistro to the bar , she remembered my order despite the dinner time rush definitely a keeper a great asset to the team the owners should be very proud. Definitely will be returning.

Just finished our Valentine’s Day Special dinner. The food was delicious, especially the chocolate brownie. Service was great and it was a really lovely way to spend Valentine’s night. Bec and Flick made us feel very special. Loved the red roses too

Great bottomless brunch last weekend. Rebecca ensured all attending were well looked after. Live music was great.

We went to the BBQ Bottomless Brunch last Saturday. What a great day it was too. We had a fabulous afternoon. The food was great and we loved the music too. Bec did an amazing job organising the afternoon and she looked after us so well. We have thoroughly enjoyed these bottomless brunches.

just got the chicken blt burger takeaway for lunch, it was amazing! very filling burger and generous portion of chips. chris and bec - the bar managers, greeted me kindly and all staff i saw were cheerful and polite. felt very welcome in the 20 minutes i waited having a drink. thank you.

First time dinning at the Commercial Hotel in Dubbo & I have to say it was by far one of the best well done rump steaks with a surf and turf topper that I've had. Price was good. Staff were very friendly & the meal was ready in no time at. A big thankyou to the kitchen staff for a very delicious meal. Definitely a 10 out of 10 from me.🌟

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch and drink, hoping for a brief escape. To our shock, a female staff member spoke to us in a manner that was incredibly rude, with high conflict intent and something I’ve never experienced in hospitality before. Unfortunately, we had already ordered, so we stayed to eat what turned out to be below-average food. We left as quickly as possible and will never return.

Absolutely awesome little pub/tavern, has small playground, service was amazing, food was excellent. . . Definitely visit if your in the area/looking for somewhere to eat (drink 😅)

We were recommended this hotel from our Airbnb host as we were from out of town and needed somewhere to eat for the night. I reserved a table and when we arrived, my friend and I were really confused about how the seating/service worked. We went up to the bar and got some drinks, asked about our reservation and were seated - name spelt wrong on the reservation card btw (Kylie not Kyle lol) and I’d emailed them to request the courtyard instead of the Saloon, and got the Saloon anyways (no biggie as it was a windy night and inside suited us better). We placed our order at the kitchen, and because it was a 20min wait, asked for a serve of chips immediately because we were famished from our 7hr travel that day. The server was lovely and got that organised for us asap. But when our mains arrived… OMG!!! My halloumi burger bun was burnt and the burger smelt funny. I ate the ingredients of my burger and left the burnt bun as I was starving. My friend’s beef burger was undercooked and had the plastic cheese slice on there (so processed and so 80’s). My friend returned her burger and got a refund. They offered to cook her another one but we just didn’t want to wait (or risk getting another shitty meal). As well as that, our plates were covered in finger smudges and looked grubby. We did however, enjoy a nice glass of wine each. To sum it up, won’t be returning here sorry.

I was charged with arranging a welcome event for the western region ranger conference in Dubbo. I approached the team at the Commercial. They were great nothing was a problem even with it being the evening of the Melbourne Cup. The burger bar option was awesome. Grilled chicken, beef burgers, pulled pork and veggie patties with all the trimmings The night was a great success. The Rangers held the state conference in Penrith and the venue did a similar burger bar and everyone last night said the commercial pub did it better than Penrith. Thanks everyone to helping make my event a great success. Highly recommend them whether it’s for dinner or a function

You CANNOT charge $20 for a frozen pizza. Horrible it tasted like freezer

I’m not the type to comment a bad review but the service and quality of food was shocking.

Words can’t surmount to the disappointing experience that my family and I endured at this Hotel. On a Wednesday night my family and I waited over an hour and twenty minutes for our dinner. Upon asking on how much longer our dishes would be, we were met with condescending staff who couldn’t even show an ounce of sincerity in explaining what the wait up was or apologising for the long wait. I would urge anyone and everyone to save their hard earned money for a venue that cares about their customers. Not to mention each dish was mediocre at absolute best.

Sunday night my husband and I and a few of his mates from the cricket team went in for dinner as we had just arrived from Sydney, the tall lady behind the counter at the restaurant was so helpful, one of my husbands friends is Coeliac and when he mentioned this to the girl, she was so understanding and made sure that everyone in the kitchen was aware in order to prevent cross contamination, she was also just extremely polite and accommodating, so we went back again last night (Monday) and my husband told the rest of the team and they mentioned it to the other teams and I saw most of them there last night. The two guys at the bar were lovely and the same girl behind the counter at the bistro was again fantastic- they were so busy in the kitchen and she kept a smile on her face the whole time! The woman and men who were cooking in the kitchen did a fantastic job to keep up with all the orders and even though there was a sign about an extended wait time and the lady at the counter let us know, we really didn’t wait that long. Hats off to all staff at the Commercial Sunday and Monday night, we will be back every night we are in town and most definitely when we come back through here. The Commercial has certainly had a facelift and personnel improvement since the last time we were here (a few years ago).

Food was only just reasonable. Certainly did not justify the cost of the dishes.

I ordered the 300g scotch fillet with vegetables and mash. The steak was nowhere near 300g; 200g at most. The vegetables were almost raw and the mash was barely warm. I wouldn't go there again.

A trendy pub.

Very nice pub feed, exceeded my expectations. Good quality food at an affordable price. The portion was also larger than expected. I enjoyed the lamb and potato pizza , haven't tried this combination before but it was tasty! And the entree platter was nice too, with aracini balls, spring rolls and salt and pepper squid, were all very delicious. They also had the footy on the TV playing too so that was great entertainment.

Stayed in town for the night. Had a family dinner at the pub. Food was awesome. Highly recommend the Chicken BLT. Dumplings were good also. Husband had the steak and said it was good. Kids enjoyed the play area. Nice and spacious outdoor area.

While the lamb shank was reasonably tender, I've experienced better taste elsewhere. It possessed an overwhelming meaty aroma. Interestingly, the lamb served at the pub is halal. The ambience was great.

Nice pub meal. We had a bit of an issue as the steaks were very tough and chewy but on raising it with the kitchen they were extremely apologetic and replaced them with fresh steaks. The service was great. Nice spacious beer garden out the back and live music.

Dropped in here on Anzac day for a feed. Great atmosphere.

A Tuesday night free comedy show at the Mersh. Wow, good effort by the pub to have something different on mid week. The snitzels for Tuesday Snitty night were dry, but the chips and salad were good.

Had the Best Salmon fillet, best cooked baked spuds & perfectly cooked Brocollini, Twice. As well as the Best Bruschetta.....going back for a another before leaving Dubbo. If ever back in Town, I know where I'll b going for lunch/dinner. When we came back the 2nd night, we stayed for the Band out the back in the Beer Garden, they were a full piece Band & played alot of great Classics. Very enjoyable.

Good food, at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great Lil pub

Chicken burger took more than an hour, after 45 minutes I advised I have diabetes and was wondering how long my food might take because my sugar level was going low. Apparently 5-10 Minutes will be ready. We are at 20’ans still not here. Have ordered a coke. Hopefully that doesn’t take an hour. After that our food came out cold. Will NEVER come here again. Waiting for the reheated burger.. see how that goes

During my stay in Dubbo, we had rang in regards to the kitchen. We had arrived after confirming our booking to find out the place smelt horrible and that we had to wait an hour for the kitchen to open. The service was very poor and I will not be back nor recommended to others and not to mention the place was infested in cockroaches and flies.

Great pub feed. Freindly staff. Well cooked meals, good size and reasonably priced. Seating indoors or outdoors, good family atmosphere.

Excellent salmon and chats. Sue and Cameron's meals were also enjoyable . Beer and pleasant staff topped the meal off. Very popular, and with good reason.

Today we held our second large staff celebration event for 100 hungry and thirsty people at the Commercial Hotel (TheMersh), and it was as brilliant as ever. The food was terrific and Tash, the manager took amazing care of us all ~ in fact all the staff are friendly and efficient. Tash seems to always go the extra mile and we all feel like we’re the only people at the venue. I’ve also had great meals with staff & friends and fun nights drinking at TheMersh. It’s clean & friendly, and there are so many different areas to eat, drink, hang out and have fun. Can’t recommend it highly enough, and it’s one of, if not the best Pub in The Central West, but definitely in Dubbo. Cheers Tash and the team, we’ll be back! Thanks.

Great food great beer great atmosphere!

Ok Pub , My nachos were good but the wifes Lamb rump and Morrocan cous cous was tough and flavourless to her. Beer was nice and cold. Now our big problem was the $10 Cocktails advertised from 8 to 10pm. Be warned that nowhere that we could see does it state that it is only certain cocktails off the list that are $10. Our group of 14 all got caught out by this at somestage. Staff just said sorry yours is not on the list, what list? Music enyertainment was good.

Had a meal today which was a one of the specials. It was awful. Will not be back.
