Visited new pokie area and TAB after thought. How stupid can you get race screens in a completly remote area at least 30 mtrs from pokie bar where you have the only means of placing a manual bet and you have to wait while staff.deal witj pokie patrons, wont visit again untill renovations complete,!!!!.

It's a quiet little venue that has its ups and downs like the rest of them overall I like the place

My meal arrived cold. When I asked if it could be reheated the waitress took it away with her. She came back said the chef apologised and said he would recook it. I said there was no need to do that just zap it in the microwave. Nearly 15 minutes later my meal was delivered and yes it was my original meal because my finger mark was still in the potato. My friends had all finished there meal

Food was outstanding. Staff were friendly. Food was served really fast. The Tuscan chicken was the best dish I've ever eaten. 10/10 amazing

Best double beef burger and best salt n pepper squid and best slow cooked lamb I've ever had... EVER Compliments to the chef I highly recommend fair price for fantastic food 👌 😋 👍

Food was very average to say the least, lamb was extremely dry, steak had a ridiculous amount of gristle in it, to the point where it was barely edible... couldn't finish our meals.... kids running riot around the dining area, which isn't the taverns fault really, but in all it made it an unpleasant experience

10/10 vegan schnitzel with garlic sauce (loads of flavour and super well made), best ever crispy chips and vegetables. Hubby enjoyed his chicken parmigiana as well. Very pleased to have a local pub with friendly service and great kitchen staff. Thank you!!

Jones Group need to sell this pub to someone that will put effort into a much needed renovation and update of facilities.

A group of 5 family members all enjoyed their meals (usually at least one complains but not at this place) The service was very good and friendly with the waitress going out of her way to please our granddaughter with her desert.

It is our local, birthday dinner, never ceases to amaze me. 8 people in dining area, lovely manager on duty, got some drinks, food menu not flash but ok, ordered, staff member took my glass away that still had drink in it!! Ummm hadn't quite finished, had to then go and find same said staff member to order another drink, thought it was table service, lacked that, and then we sat there for 20 minutes with no offer of a dessert menu or even anyone come near us, by that time we were the only ones in the area. Nah... done eating there now

Why did you have steam veg for a roast and the Xmas pudding was more like a muffin with few currant no spices

Used to be our local for many years. We stopped going to the Tavern earlier this year as I felt the meals were becoming ordinary. I am Happy to say after giving another chance it seems the Kitchen has turned around. The Beef Gnocchi was A1 and the Beef Schnitzel was back . Great Recovery 👍🏼

I was basically raised here, as you can tell was not a great up bringing you'll understand what I mean if you've ever gone here. SUPER sketchy, terrible food. Granted my opinion may be a bit biased given my despise for Hallet cove. But I mean just to get a simple meal would leave in heart break, tragedy, cardiac arrest of how God awful it is there. So glad I left that toxic relationship and am now growing as a customer discovering restaurants that are of fair better quality and won't leave me crying, scratching at the walls, or shaking on the ground.

Six of us sat in the nook. Good for conversations. Very fine service from the young ladies. Lambs fry a little disappointing, a strange taste. But everyone else was happy, so I kept quiet. A pleasant evening ☺️

Food was pretty good. My drinks did get messed up and I was given a Sauvignon Blanc instead of a rose' but it was nice any way. Will probably be back!

Setting of the dining room/rooms is what you would expect from a typical pub. Staff were friendly to a point. Food was again what you would expect from a pub meal. Schnitzel was decent sized, clean oil. My only issue was our order was forgotten. Believe me I know this can happen. But no one followed up on us, or thought 'hang on they ordered nearly an hour ago and I haven't seen them eat' Once I brought it to the attention of the disinterested bartender our waitress was right on it and our meals came out within 5 mins.

Normally we’ve not had a bad meal. Tonight we were celebrating a special birthday and the meal left us extremely disappointed. Kids cheeseburger was so burnt it was inedible, the roast pork was also inedible. Most meals were over cooked staff didn’t really seem too bothered. Very disappointing experience

Had a great meal at the Cove Tavern. $11 for a Schnitzel on a Tuesday was amazing! Quality was way above $11 and service was amazing. Will be back for sure.

The Jones group need to sell this pub as they have no real interest in it. The people of the area deserve better. The staff are fantastic and if it wasn’t for them it would be a complete write off
