I took the recommendation of the lovely, welcoming, woman at the bar and ordered the chicken tacos—she assured me they wouldn’t disappoint, and she was absolutely right! They were bursting with flavor and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend visiting on Taco Tuesday!

A senior group went there last week. The place was clean, light and airy. The young man at the bar was very nice and very helpful. The Barramundi and chips were delicious, the fish tasted like it had just been caught. The other meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The prices were great, much better than many other places we've been to.

Had the pork knuckle and it was the best thing I’ve had at this pub. Just be really hungry when you order it!

12 January, 2025 - 12:30pm (approximately) My girlfriend and I walked in to buy a coffee. The young woman at the till accepted payment for an iced long black. I then asked if my girlfriend could use the bathroom, she says to both of us that she needed to check our ID’s (after she took payment). My girlfriend is from the Philippines and does not have an Australian license, so she presented a picture of her passport instead, to which the worker said they can’t accept it. We both walked out before I got my coffee. I’ve never experienced such incompetence, lack of compassion, and unprofessional behaviour. Why did our ID’s need to be checked at 12:30pm on a Sunday, ordering coffee? And if the ID check was necessary, why accept payment? She should have checked the ID’s before letting me make an order. Will never return to the Earlwood hotel again. Be weary of this place.

Great place to meet up and have a few drinks and eat .

It’s not a lunch special if you have to buy a drink and the price of the drink and meal is more than what the meal would cost on any normal day. That is called manipulating people into spending more than they would potentially spend. And places that want to charge an extra $3 for adding a sauce to a burger, you can keep your extra sauce.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Earlwood Hotel, and it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment I walked in, the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere immediately set the tone for an enjoyable afternoon. The recent renovations have truly elevated the space, blending modern aesthetics with a cozy charm that makes you want to linger. The service was impeccable—prompt, friendly, and genuinely attentive. It felt like the staff genuinely cared about making every guest's experience memorable. Now, onto the food—where do I even begin? I started with the Nepalese Momo, and let me tell you, these handmade steamed chicken dumplings were an absolute delight. The dumplings were perfectly tender, and the tomato and Sichuan sesame sauce added a rich, flavorful depth that was simply irresistible. Next up was the Szechuan Fried Calamari. The pineapple cut calamari was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a subtle Szechuan kick that paired beautifully with the chilli, shallots, and that tangy lime mayo. Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving me wanting more. As if the culinary delights weren't enough, the wide-screen TV offered the perfect entertainment, allowing me to catch both the NFL and the India/Australia Test match. It was the ideal setting for a sports fan like myself. In conclusion, the Earlwood Hotel has hit all the right notes with its exceptional food, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. I can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning for another round of their incredible dishes. Kudos to the team for creating such a fantastic dining experience!

Customer service was great, food was below average.

Decided to check out the Earlwood hotel. Had a nice ambiance but was freezing cold inside. We went on Wednesday loaded schnitzel night. Unfortunately all meals came with cold chips and mash with the gravy tasting disgusting. One of the meals came with RAW chicken. Staff were nice enough to replace it but avoid this place at ALL COSTS! On top of all this it was overpriced.

Th ribs and wings were excellent. Beer selection average for a pub. Overall a decent place to have a meal.

The kings of the kitchen, the barons of beer, the marquess of mid-level luxury, the viscounts of vibe. Perfectly befitting their location in Earlwood. The focus on my friend’s face as he grabs a nacho says it all. That man has a PHD you know.

Good quality pub grub and not too pricey. Service is very good. Sunday lunch can be loud if they are showing a fight or a footy game.

Thursday night is ribs night, and it’s 25% discount. Ribs was delicious as it is, it was oven cooked, and not chargrilled. I prefer grilled, and basted during cooking process to make sauce stickier, just a preference though. Ribs comes with slaw and chips

Worst service . The security guard really needs to learn how to talk with customers. Very rude and unprofessional. Never coming back to this place again

Food was yuck, especially the beef parpadelle, pumpkin ravioli, chicken wings, and chicken schnitzel. Staff weren’t great either (not v. friendly). Extremely overpriced considering the food (taste and portion size) and location. Very strange setting inside the restaurant- too many tvs and extremely high tables (not ideal for young kids). Stay away!!

Food is great and the people are very accommodating and friendly, very nice decor. I tried their new food menu and it was outstanding, should try their lamb ragu & barramundi its a top notch. I highly recommend this place Cheers!!!

Had a really good time at the Earlwood Hotel. Much nicer inside than I expected based on the outside (can’t judge a book by its cover). Also, the chef and the cooks were great! Any request was no issue! I was really enjoying the cheeseburger and using the caramelised onions with my chips. So I asked for more caramelised onions, and they provided with no issue and on the house! They’re a very happy team. Looking forward to coming back! David,

No No No, stay away from this place. Violent aggressive security guards grabbing people and pushing them outside for no reason and no explanation.

Had lunch today with my friend Sophie - we both had the pan seared barramundi; it’s a special dish of the chef and it was fabulous - we both very much enjoyed our lunch. The atmosphere in the pub’s bistro & bar is delightful - I could have stayed for much longer but unfortunately we had to go - will definitely be back

Great little pub. This place has had a recent renovation and all the spaces are so thoughtfully decorated giving a very comfortable atmosphere. Food was nice too. Will definitely be back.

Foods yum, service is great. Just a huge shame there’s nothing to look at. With the hotel being on such a street corner presents. You’d think they give you a view to looking out to the street watching the day go by. But no, the pokies get all that area.

From moment walked in, in the evening for dinner, atmosphere nice but could be more lively, the staff were unfriendly, snobby, no smile, no communication how the order on meals work,how long,where to get cutlery,what's what.....like the staff don't want to be there, especially the girl serving out the plates .....i could have had a better experience at maccas.......

Great local, food, service are deserving of 5 star!! Trivia nights each Tues is the best!

Food will give you food poisoning!! Pathetic security guard has short man syndrome and is beyond rude, too expensive for the area, managers beyond useless, entire table sick from the food. AVOID unless you want to be needlessly abused or if you want to keep your food down.

Got food poisoning from the kitchen, had to throw up the food then got told to leave by security guard for being intoxicated despite having one drink.

All 4 of our group got food poisoning from their horrific food, were then asked to leave by the small man syndrome security guard, under no circumstance visit this pub - absolute 0/10

Felt victim to the rental crisis and got some last minute short term accommodation at the Earlwood. Licensee Jim came to the rescue organised me a room for a week. It was safe, organised and clean. Thank you Jim and The Earlwood Hotel.
