Don't like doing low rating reviews but unfortunately when we went I ordered the FT burger. The chips were very nice but the beef pattie was really burnt around the edges and dry all the way through. The bun was grilled so it was dark brown and quite dry. The whole burger was dry, hard to cut and harder to swallow. We had been previously and the service, atmosphere and food were really great so we were quite disappointed. Won't go back which is disappointing because I thought it was a really great place to go until the last experience. They didn't seem to care when they asked me how my meal was and I mentioned about burger.

Tuesday special all burgers $16 with fries! I had the pulled beef burger. Lovely soft bun and great flavours, chips were perfect- the beef was a little tough but overall very good, and great value. Staff were really lovely. IPA on tap.

FTG Kitchen recently hosted a birthday party for us. I cannot express enough appreciation for Ash and the team, they were unbelievably accommodating and helpful and just so friendly with it. The birthday boy had a wonderful time, thank you!

FT Local Kitchen and Bar has now become my favourite burger place in the Eastern suburbs. Gave them a go recently and was not disappointed. The burgers tasted fresh and were beautifully cooked. With them we enjoyed the customary onion rings and fries, yummy! FT Kitchen and Bar looks warmly welcoming for and in-house meal or after work drink, something I would like to try there as well. The staff are graciously nice and the service was quite swift. I certainly recommend FT in Ferntree Gully

I can't help but to think all the great reviews are either false or paid for. It was a series of unfortunate events. We were seated after the server was unable to find our booking, 25 minutes later we were asked if someone had taken our order, we still had not been given menus or water for the table. After our orders were taken we waited 45 minutes for our food. We had ordered 2 starters and 3 mains. 2 starters and 2 mains came out at the same time, my main had been forgotten and took another 15 minutes to come out. My son's main (parma, chips and salad) had no chips, I asked twice for the chips to be bought out but they never came. The servers were very obviously stressed and I felt terrible for them because they were lovely people. They took 10% off our bill for the troubles. Unfortunately the lovely servers won't save the experience for us.

Awesome food, even better service

We went earlyish on a Wednesday night and it was a very easy place to go for a midweek break. FT special burger and New York style burger were great, very generous patties. Lots of specials between drinks and meals so I think we got a good deal too!

It is great to see that this place has reopened, and being run by an experienced restaurantor. I've only been there once so far, but I will be going back, because the food was excellent and there is a lot more on the menu that I want to try. Update: I have now been to FT Local a few times and still enjoy each trip. Daily happy hour specials on the 6 craft beers on tap, and good food, will keep me coming back.

Excellent food and service!

Seriously recommend this restaurant! We went there tonight for dinner with our 4 year old. The service was impeccable! The staff were so friendly and made our daughter feel very special and welcome. The food was remarkable, tasty, hot and fresh. We will be returning and urge others to eat here rather than our local pubs that do not provide the quality food nor service and are run by big businesses whose sole focus is revenue from the pokies. Really a great local restaurant that serves great pub choices at reasonable prices with the added bonus of people who show genuine hospitality and interest in their diners.

Venue a bit cold , service excellent!! More variety of red wine would be good. Maybe a couple of more options for mains. Again all staff were excellent and trying their best to do the right thing by customers which did win us over. Well done to all.

Never eat here again. Food was overpriced. Service was poor. My main meal came out incorrect and had to be remade. Took 30 mins. In the meantime, another guest didn't get their main until everyone else had finished their food, 1 hour after everyone else. And their meal was rubbish.

We booked in for dinner Anzac Day eve. There was one staff member on. I waited over 40 minutes for a drink and longer for a very underwhelming entree. I snuck next door for a drink while I waited. And we ended up leaving and getting takeaway main because the food was slow and so underwhelming. This place has so much potential. I felt so sorry for the young man trying to look after this place. But they need someone who has worked hospitality. And a real chef. There was only 3 tables at any one time, but with cocktail requests this bloke could not keep up.

There was a mix up with our order through Uber Eats. The customer service after the mistake was fantastic. These guys were great!!

The Mexican pama and pull pork burger were very tasty and the service was great!

Great local burger place in Ferntree Gully. Both the burgers ordered were juicy, delicious and huge! Service was excellent with all staff being super attentive and friendly. Will definitely be a returning customer 🙂

On god get down to FT burger bar asap. It's very very quiet here and it should not be. double patty and bbq chicken burger. With chips and onion rings. 30 bucks. Insanely good value Massive wings, 14.9 All brown spirt and coke. 10 bucks!!! Every course was amazing and the prices here a knock-out. Gorgeous beer garden. When the place gets some traffic there gonna have live music and footy every night. 10/10 will be coming back #ftlocal

Absolutely shocking the food was disgusting and and the waitress thought it was appropriate for her to stay at our table through out the whole even sitting down at one stage maybe she needs to look up her job description no one I know would find that appropriate And the food was so bad and they tried to charge for it

The atmosphere is relaxing with elegant decor and options of outdoor, beer garden and traditional seating. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend you try for yourself. Ask for SJ, Karla or Erica.

Great Parma , great atmosphere lovely staff.

Unfortunately our experience tonight was extremely ordinary. The meal we wanted to order was not available, after we ordered it, drinks took half an hour to arrive. The incorrect meals turned up when they finally arrived. One meal didn’t turn up at all. I would not recommend this at.

I ordered at 6:30, my email confirmation said 30 mins until it was ready and I paid for delivery. At 7:30 I called, when they answered the phone and I asked what was going on he said he’ll check for me, but didn’t ask for my order name or number and hung up. When I called again, someone else picked up and when I mentioned I was just hung up on she laughed. She told me it would be 15 mins and I confirmed it would be delivered. At 8:00 I called again and she said it’s almost ready, I can come and pick it up now. When I reminded her I paid for delivery she said she had to talk to the chef and she’d get back to me because she didn’t know it was for delivery. I had to call for a fourth time at 8:20 after waiting for her to call me like she said she would and she said it’s ready and they’re waiting for the Uber to pick it up. It’s now 8:30 when we finally get our food and it’s not great, mediocre at best. Only upside being that they gave us 2 free cans of Fanta We went here months ago before they closed briefly and it was amazing, couldn’t fault it. Now that they have reopened, I never want to return.

the food took over an hour and a half to come out and the kids chicken curry was so spicy for a kids mean and just not good at all

Service was shocking, took me over an hour to get my food, my order was incorrect also. Not very nice staff at all.

Grabbed a few drinks during lunch hr and the service was lovely, professional, respectful and chilled back. I would recommend them, I didn't get to eat but will do next time.

The pricing on the delivery menu is outrageous and the food wasn't even that good.

Service here is fantastic. The man that served us was awesome! Good selection of local Sprocket Brewery from Boronia on Tap. The Parmas were great. Nice flavour and juicy chicken. The only downside to our meal was the sauteed veggies were super bland, watery and had no flavour. The corn on the cob was way too charred and tasted burnt and ashy. The Corn was also definitely microwaved. Overall nice dinner. We would be back

Pulled pork taco 10/10

I'd like to start off by saying the waitresses were all very nice and polite and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately customer service is only a small aspect of dining out. The food was well below average. The schnitzels, Burgers and wings were all very dry along with our order being incorrect. It's a shame as the staff were all very nice and were trying there best. The kitchen would seem to be the issue here. So if you are looking for a good feed. Stay away. Love Jason 😊

Told 15 mins for takeaway when I ordered. Got there 15 mins later and waited close to 40 minutes for my food. The food itself was really bad, super oily and overall non enjoyable, we threw much of it out. Biggest waste of $60.

The service was very slow, and the food had things we didn’t want in them.

4 of us dined there for the first & LAST time last night! We thought we’d stop in for a quick bite, rookie mistake. It was 7.45pm on a Wednesday night. The place was empty, (1st red flag!) with only one guy enjoying a beer out the front. After ordering, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. The beer & coke was fine, but the milkshake seemed to be room temperature with a dollop of ice-cream just floating on the top. Apparently 20 minutes wasn’t enough time to mix it properly. (2nd red flag!) We had also ordered 3 of the Wed night Parma specials, a nachos & a chilli con carne. 45 mins in, we were wondering what the hold up was. There was nobody in the front to ask & we considered leaving. (We should have).. we joked that we could’ve shopped for the ingredients, driven home & cooked the meals ourselves, in the time we’d spent waiting. We’d come this far, so we stayed. Approximately 1 hour later our meals arrived. Well, most of them. The Chile con carne never did. The waitress apologised for the wait, offering no explanation. The parma’s were average, although we didn’t have high expectations at this point. The gravy was nice, but the serves would’ve been lucky to be 20mls…. Unfortunately the nachos were tasteless. The hottest & best part of the meals were the delicious chips, but it ends there. We went to pay & they tried to charge us for the chilli con carne that never came. The waitress even went to double check with the kitchen, as if she didn’t believe us. It wasn’t until I got home that I realised each shot of gravy was charged at $3.90, even though parmas come with a choice of two sides.. and we’d ordered 2 of the parmas with just chips & gravy?! We left dissatisfied & hungry as we didn’t finish our meals. Totally confused as to what the staff were actually doing out the back. Seems there’s a complete lack of management. It’s a shame, because the restaurant looks really nice. I never normally write reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to waste their time & money.

Just had the Mexican parma with the sauteed veggies and mac n' cheese sides, absolutely brilliant!! 💯👌
