Very nice and excellent
We had a great time, with far too much food.
The Star in Sydney the prices they show on Google are incorrect. They should update it immediately.
Here’s a review you could post: I had a very disappointing experience at Harvest Buffet in Star City. For the price of nearly $100 per person, I expected a much better selection and quality of food. The steak was chewy and overcooked, the options were very limited, and overall, the food quality was poor—definitely not worth the high price. I’d say it was worth maybe $30-$50 at most. On top of that, the place was nearly empty, yet the customer service was terrible. The staff was rude to us, which made the experience even worse. We were a group of 18 people, and every single one of us agreed that we will never be coming back. Definitely not worth it!
Had dinner here Saturday night with my wife and we enjoyed the evening. Food was nice, and there was a good variety with the exception of the Chinese section. Then Sunday morning my wife was really sick with food poisoning. I was ok with no problems and I ate what she did with the exception of oysters. Look it happens with seafood and buffets. Problem I have is my wife took the time to call the restaurant to let them know what happened. They asked a lot of questions and it’s clear they didn’t want to own the issue. Bit of advice, feedback is a gift. When a customer calls you treat their complaint with respect and acknowledge their concern rather than ducking and weaving.
食物種類多,但飲料要另外加購
The oysters and sushi were delicious, but the shrimp was not tasty. Also, the guacamole didn’t taste like avocado at all. The meat was extremely tough and couldn’t be cut with a knife. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not as good as I expected, and considering the restaurant’s reputation and the number of reviews it has, it was quite disappointing.
never left a review in my life. This place is the most overrated thing I’ve been to should’ve stayed home. It was like eating in a hospital cafeteria.
For $89 (with the membership discount) it was 100% not worth the price at all. Every time you would go up to the food stations it would be empty. The steaks were so tough that you could not cut through them with the knives provided. The desserts were also disappointing, all the desserts in the little tubs had no flavour and the creme brulee actually tasted off. The only redeeming factor was the little tarts, they were really nice. When your paying nearly $100 as well, it would be nice to have soft drinks included. Was a very, very disappointing Valentine's Day dinner and I would avoid at all costs. You can go to a RSL and get a better buffet for $35
This is the worst buffet I’ve ever had. The food choice is not much. Most of the food looks really dry, it’s really hard to chew. The food seems like have been cooked for long time. The seafood is not fresh, the fruits are bad and smells stinky.
Well food was good I can’t complain about that, but it you pay so much per person should atleast have bit of variety good experience food and not cheap food.
Wasn’t worth the money in my opinion
Seafood is okay, but besides seafood section are disappointed, especially desserts. But fresh seafood is okay.
My wife and I went there for dinner and on the overall, everything was just fine. As a general buffet, nothing to complain looking at a satisfactory level and we found a good variety of a good food. Our main reason to go there was for the “sea food buffet” and my expectation was over the moon to be honest. But… frustration is what I had. I could write a long list of what I would love to find in that sea food buffet but I dont want to spend time in this review. I will simply not go back there for sea food ever! With the same amount of money spent between my wife and I, we surely would have a way more “colourful” sea food feast buying fresh at any fish market or even eat in there. So if you want a real amazing sea food experience, go to the Sydney Fish Market… There you will find the real deal at the local restaurants inside the market.
Nice atmosphere with fresh seafoods (oysters, crab, salmon, and etc.) With various Asian cuisine, best buffet at The Star Sydney. Best recommended for bring families and friends.
On paye pour la déco. La cuisine n’est pas sophistiquée.
There was a good variety of food. However the desserts were pretty bad. The vanilla and chocolate ice cream just tasted artificial and the cakes, croissants etc were also very mediocre. If I was to go to a buffet again, I'd probably choose another place.
I haven't been to harvest buffet in Sydney for a long time now however this time I was very dissappointed. The oysters were not fresh whilst there were limited food selections. Buffet at RSL have more food selections beside oysters and spanner crab. Didnt bother taking any photos as I was pretty dissappointed.
The Harvest Buffet at lunch is poor quality. The prawns no taste. The oysters too small. Chinese dim Sim not good. Chinese roasted charsui cold. No Chinese roasted duck nor roasted beef. Other glass window food varieties cold. Not work A$66.
Plenty of options from Italian , Asian , salads and desserts 🧁 Must visit 👍
Food was okay but not worth it unless you can eat alot!
Quantity over quality! Spread is good but most of them taste very average.
Seafood was quite fresh, great selection of food and desserts
Nice food. Good selection of options. Buffet was well stocked.
Avoid coming here unless you’re okay with being rushed and yelled at by staff. I was just trying to grab two oysters and was met with constant “NEXT, NEXT” being shouted at customers every few minutes. My apologies for taking a God damn second.
Las Vegas Caesar’s palace casino buffet but we end up with circus circus level buffet. The price is A$100 but the food tastes worth only A$20. I would say “skip this place” 建議可以不要浪費錢在這
We had our New Year business lunch at the restaurant yesterday, and both the food and atmosphere were very good. I would like to specifically mention Vincia, who had a warm and cheerful smile and ensured everything ran smoothly. She truly added a lovely touch to our celebration.
The Harvest Buffet has become poor value. $100 for dinner buffet with a poor selection of food and dessert. The prawns, oysters and mussels were average at best. No Bugs, Lobster Tails, King Crab, Baby Octopus or Calamari. The prime rump had a nice flavour but was tough. The Lamb overcooked. The Pork and Ham were average as were the tuna steaks. The dessert was nice with a reasonable selection and the coffee was crap from a self serve machine. The 1.5 hour time limit was for dinning was unnecessary. That should be reserved for a better dining experience. Unfortunately we also had a very loud crying child on the next table who made it difficult to talk with friends. The Star Casino's restaurant used to have much better food quality and value for money. Even parking was expensive at $40. I doubt we will be back for some time. Hopefully it improves because the location is good.
Good
Nah this place has gone down hill. $130 per person for such a limited selection of average food. $17 for a flask of soda water.
Nice buffet with a selection of food options. Seafood is popular. Service was very good. Seems a popular buffet, not a fancy as other casino buffets but still a worthy visit and is popular.
I would certainly suggest taking your appetite there is a lot of food on offer and it's pretty high quality for a buffet. My only complaints would be no gravy for the roast lamb and potatoes. Also the pizza was mostly gone by the time we got there, surely that can be replenished. The seafood and desserts are absolutely first class and worth the 65 dollars on their own. I'll definitely go again
It was not the value for money. The Oysters were very small & the Prawns were big but the texture like chewing rubber without any flavour! Mussels were not eatable. The bottle of water placed on the table was just tap water without any ice supplied.
Grandchildren enjoyed it. Very busy today
Just so so.
No longer arranged seating, it's chaos, it's a free for all, forced to sit with other people while couples sat at large tables. Food was less than average, no cups, no plates, people pushing and shoving. Lack of management, care, anything. After many years of coming here I'll never bring anyone here again with this poorly managed chaos. No real coffee, automatic coffee was half broken, no cups. Barista had no syrups, no take away lids. Just terrible all round compared to what use to be a great breakfast.
Lots of food and good quality...
The food is yummy and the system is well organised, the staff were efficient amd helpful. Plus lovely vibes!
Enjoyed our visit to Harvest Buffet at Star City Sydney for a weekday lunch. Loads of seafood choices: fresh prawns, mussels, oysters, a wide choice of meats, asian dishes, salads and desserts. It has a super casual feel and was good value. As a star club member you get 10% discount :) plus you can get your car parking ticket validated as a star club member = free parking. Just validate it at the star club hub. Star club membership is free to join.
I think the price is fair given there is oyster in the buffet. Always best to book although walk ins are welcome. Discount available for Star Members. They don’t have a bowl of water for your fingers and you have to walk around to get wipes. Best if lemon scented wipes are available at the table. Food options are great but not spectacular. It is still good dining experience and I think worth the price if you have a membership, but I find the Gold Coast one to be better.
Placed was great
도때기시장... 먹을께없음.... 카지노가서 배고픈 대식가가 돈따면 갈만한곳ㅋ
I went on NY’s day for lunch. The man taking my payment was rude and should not be at the front desk. He had taken my payment before I told him I was a member and then made it out to be my fault very loudly in front of other customers. Extremely poor customer service. The options for vegetarian was very basic and cheap food - pasta, potato etc. No soft drinks or juices were included, which is also poor. The dessert station was great though.
I really wish I had something good to say about this experience. We went on Christmas Eve for what we thought was going to be a treat. Upon entering however we thought we were on a cruise, and not in a good way. Plastic tables and chairs greeted us with no effort at all for Christmas. The 'legendary' seafood was lackluster at best with terribly overcooked lobster, no smoked salmon and average prawns and pipis. The Christmas section was one small amount of roast turkey and nothing else, not good at all. Star casino, raise your game! This was the first and last time we will ever visit this buffet and probably the casino itself. Wonder why your losing business to the new casino?? This is why
If you want to eat continuously, it's ok Some people eat with plates piled high if that's what you want Saw a lot of people with their own takeaway containers and also filled them. If you can afford to go to the buffet in the first place, you are NOT STARVING. Anyway each to their own.
Expensive, noisy and service not up to par. We came here expecting good food and service. Queued for 30+ mins despite having a reservation as there was no separate queue for people with bookings. There were screaming kids all around us, queues for the seafood so I didn’t bother, some food items not replaced regularly and I ordered a glass of wine using the QR code on the table and despite the bar not being busy I had to go up there myself to pick up my drink because I wasn’t sure if they had received my drink order and the Asian guy behind the bar had the audacity to say my order only came in 5 mins ago. Ok so why aren’t you pouring my drink if there’s nobody else at the bar? Food was no better than other buffet restaurants I’ve been to. They also don’t publish allergens on their dishes so you have to ask the staff if certain foods have nuts, etc. This is a very real health hazard and it’s disappointing that this establishment does not cater for diners with allergies. Won’t be coming back here in a hurry
Expensive.... but the food is delightful, the staff a super helpful.
Small selection of food, the cooks couldn't keep up with demand.
I love a buffet but wouldn’t go back, the seafood quality was average and the hot food was cold. The atmosphere was ‘cheap’ (no table cloths, paper napkins, no finger bowls for cleaning hands after peeling seafood). I have had better experiences at Sizzler Restaurants
Oveall very good, but the food variety wasn’t very variant.
3rd visit and it is same old, only older. Needs a refresh.
We call to book for a table staff told us there no need to book that’s why we drive 2. 1/2 hours and then when we get there they told us that’s it’s fully booked what a stupid system
Everything was good, but there’s a high chance of halal and haram foods being mixed. If the pork dishes were kept at a separate counter, it would have been convenient for Muslims. Who would feel comfortable if pork is served next to halal meat? Apart from this, there were plenty of food options. The environment was beautiful. The desserts were amazing. If there were a way to know the ingredients of the desserts, it would have been even better. For example, my friend has an issue with eggs, so they had to keep asking about it. The quality of the food and the environment was excellent.
Good buffet, not too much seafood selection, but good quality food.
variety was not that great
If you wanna pay 130 dollar for food court experience then go for it. Food options so less and ehhh taste really bad.. The worst buffet I had ever have. Had to order wine to swallow the food
I’ve been here quite a few times however this time was really disappointing. The food was very average and staff were very impersonal. This is probably the worst experience I’ve had at this place. Admittedly it was a Tuesday night however that should be no excuse. At $100 a plate you would expect the service and the food to be much better. Go to Seafood that’s the only stuff worth eating. Everything else was standard. Bottles of wine overpriced.
For the price you are paying you expect better quality and better variety of foods. Satay Chicken was not fully cooked gross. Dessert variety average will not be back that's for sure. And 2 people from our group Christmas lunch came home quite unwell 😫
We had dinner on the 12 December and were surprised with the excellent service we received. We had no problem getting a table we wanted & (thank you Meao) and Winton attended at our table to clear the plates as soon as they were kept aside (thank you Winton). Winton was friendly, professional and had a good knowledge of the food that was being served. I also noticed that Winton extended the same service to everyone. On our way back home I noticed that the Manager was at the front desk, to be informed that the restaurant was short of staff that day. If this be so, Winton should be recommended for his professional service, knowledge of the food and service extended to all the guests.
The buffet was good, but I don't recommend the sirloin steak. I do recommend the pasta and seafood. The service was great, and although the atmosphere was crowded, but it was easy to get food and eat.
I recently organized our Team's end-of-year lunch for a team of 20+ people, and we chose Star based on a recommendation from a colleague who regularly enjoys their buffet. It definitely lived up to the hype! For $66 per person, you can choose from a wide variety of dishes, including seafood, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, and classic Aussie fare. To top it off, there was an amazing selection of cakes, tarts, fresh fruits, and breads. We had a reservation, so there was no waiting. We paid upfront and were able to dive straight into the delicious spread. I’d absolutely come back again. Special thanks to the floor manager Anand and Winton for making the experience so smooth and enjoyable. The only suggestion I’d have is for them to offer a few more vegan options to really justify the price for plant-based eaters. Anand was kind enough to cater to my dietary preferences and offered me a special meal, had to decline as I had already stuffed myself with the fried tofu, some Indian snacks and the ginormous juicy Strawberries!! All in all, a fantastic experience! Thanks for such a wonderful time!
