Awesome service with friendly staff 👌

Decently priced meals and drinks, staff are friendly enough. Went for lunch with 6 people for my daughter's sixth birthday. Meals came out not long after 1 another. Has somewhat of a country feel to it and decent enough looking outdoor garden area to eat and drink

Terrible all up. Staff at reception terrible and not professional. Lady behind the counter very rude. Place smells like cigarettes carpet disgusting. Ferrel people inside and outside the pub hanging around not safe at all! Rooms are like a mental cell or jail cell. Beds uncomfortable. Place all up needs to be knocked down.

Four times this year we've just got there before 8pm to be told kitchen's closed. I'm sure it says 8.30pm on there website. Very disappointing as regular patrons.

The best pub with the absolute best service. Karen behind the bar is A1 & quite humorous & since Ainslie has come on board it seems the place has a new lease on life. Food is consistently great, prices are awesome & the outdoor space is where you want to spend your arvos after work.

Such a fabulous hotel with super friendly staff. We have just attended a 2024 Melbourne Cup Luncheon and couldn't be happier with the food, service, decor and organization. Great menu, reasonable prices for food and wine, refurbish decor and plenty of parking. All the pub favourites at reasonable prices. Great venue for a special occasion with indoor and covered outdoor dining spaces.

As a local..I only drink here because its walking distance and friends.food getting better

Well again after years we have given this pub another try....well last time!! Place stunk of old burnt cooking oil...schnitty and chips tasted like old burnt cooking oil...we went home stinking of old burnt cooking oil...had to shower and chuck our clothes in wash...pity could of been a good meal...oh and rude rude staff who can't even give eye contact ...so dissapointing as we are local...maybe go take some lessons from the clovercrest

Rude! Very rude staff, however Danielle was an exception. A lovely young woman. Meals came out separately. Not ideal! It wasn’t a pleasant experience and I shan’t be returning.

Good food, service and prices

Disgusting service absolutely not impressed and was hung up on when they didn't even give me a chance to answer call as click and collect order was not in stock. That is your issue and I have a right under consumer rights I should of been given a choice now I have to wait to receive my money back?. No and management do not hang up on customers either. Do not shop here if you want good service.

I try this place every 12 months or so. I always hope it will get better as it's my local pub. Unfortunately, it always never fails to disappoint. If you can't get a schnitzel right, there's not much hope. Great venue, it's a shame the pokies seem to be the only thing you're interested in.

The old spot meals are great value for outstanding quality meals. Absolutely delicious everytime we go for dinner. The roast is tender and the mash is yummy. I ordered the king avocado chicken schnitzel (special), was absolutely divine. The chips were nice and crunchy too. Meals are always spot on and the staff are lovely 😍

Mothers Day lunch was really good all the family enjoyed the meal and we all had a great time.

Decided to stop into the gaming room tonight. Hadn't been here for a while. The gaming room had changed since last time. Its quite good. Has new games and some 'emerald edition' older games from years ago like Queen of the Nile etc.. It is bright and not dreary which is nice for a gaming area. It also has the other gambling set up in this area now too. So people have options to have a break from the pokies and perhaps try keno or place a bet on a horse or even just sit at the table to get a drink and relax. It was quiet tonight being a Tuesday but still had a good atmosphere. I've been stopping in here for years now and it's definitely improving its looks in my opinion. The outside area is really good too.

Many a spontaneous beer had here! While sitting out in the beer garden you can really feel the history of the place. Will always be back, great place to rendezvous with friends for a quick after-work chat. Have had a couple of pissed meals here I think? Good nachos? Or was it chips and gravy? Pokies are ok as a small-time gambler..

Went for lunch with friends. Food was good except for salad. Chunky chocolate cheesecake was delicious. Downfall was Chai Latte. Lukewarm & no flavour. They were returned. Came back good temperature but still no flavour

I went there on a Saturday there was lots of market stalls with lots of varieties to choose from. Then went inside for a quick drink. It was amazing inside, very clean and organized. The staff were excellent great place to visit 😀

44 went. food was ok. but..no roasts after the first 3 orders. only had 3 steaks available. and no liver meals this was 10 mins after arriving. although we booked in 3 weeks prior to arriving. Between 11.45am and 12.40 pm there were NO other diners in the lounge area - so its not that they were busy at all. and only 7 other members of the public came for their lunch - and although all of us ordered our meals a long time before other members of the public (7) came - they got their meals before our group did. meals came out extremely slow. 1st meal 12.08pm last meal - which was mine (and only fish and chips) ..1.22pm. Got told chef forgot" to order meats (for roasts).. waste of time ordering our meals with the table numbers there. as when the girls came out with the meals - they just went to any table. PLUS when we booked - we asked for NO meals to come out BEFORE 12.30 that would allow time for all our group to order and pay for their meals ...and that did not work at all - when the 1st meals came out at 12.08pm...even desserts came out on the 1st tables before many got their main meals= Just not good enough at all...."

Live within walking distance but haven't been here a long time due to always being disappointed. The decor is fresh and light after being so dark for so long. The meals were good. My only criticism is that two meals came out, but then we waited quite a while for the other two. Will definitely return.

Lady taking orders was very rude and short while taking orders. Same lady was bringing out meals as obviously under staffed she was very rude while calling out orders and giving people their meals. Must of been under alot of pressure. We had a booking for approximately 30 people. Other lady serving meals was lovely.

My first time at the old spot and I am really impressed. The staff were all extremely friendly and the food was excellent. Karen was my favourite staff member, she was so friendly, welcoming and cheerful. What a wonderful environment to enjoy a great meal or casual drink. Dear management you have wonderful staff, you should be very proud.

Worst i have ever been to service shocking two customers in the whole place and two staff talking ignoring the customers

I would like to thank Karen and her staff for an absolutely fantastic day. From the moment I spoke to Karen requesting our wedding to be held there, nothing was too hard for her or her team. She listened and ensured my vision came to life. She welcomed every guest with open arms and worked longer hrs to ensure our day went smoothly. Karen went above and beyond, and I would recommend any bride to consider the Old Spot for both their ceremony and reception. The food was great, and the alcohol was never an issue. The accommodation left for us was fantastic. My guests all had an absolute blast. Karen catered for all our suppliers from the cake drop off's to the DJ. Thank you Karen

Went for dinner. Spent over $70 for just 2 of us. Had to wait a long time for our meals. Service was OK. My partner had the roast special (lamb) he said wasn't fresh. My fettuccine I asked for no ham, there was ham. So that wasn't ideal.
