I don't know if it was the owner or manager who served me but lovely guy. Excellent service. Excellent everything! I was overly excited about the place and not once did he make me feel silly about it. He was there for it! Made me feel very welcomed. Best place to play pool.

Overall, the pool place was pretty tidy but the service was just horrible, as the manager was rude and uncomprehensive. The price could also be a tad better, and the food is alright

Always have fun playing pool with my friends here. Empire probably has the best pool tables in Adelaide. Reasonably priced too. Only downside is the music is really loud as the day progresses. Makes it hard for you to focus on playing pool. Not forgetting they have Guiness on top! That is a bonus for me!

It's an ok venue for a boys sober night out, lots of pool tables so always bring your game on.

First time coming here and enjoyed the experience. Friendly staff with plenty of customers coming through from tournament and professional players right down to the casual first timers such as mysellf. CrowdDJ helps pick some music, good assortment of drinks available. Didn't have food so can't comment on that. Tables were clean, plenty of seating and being allocated a quieter corner away from the pros was a nice move.

mo is the best security guard very friendly and looked after me and my friends all night.

We love this place, but would prefer to be able to book the large table in the back corner, as some of those 8 ball tables are tiny, and wayyyyy too close to one another (and the staircase - ew) we generally don't have to wait long for a table, but preference should be allowed, even if there is an hour session deposit.

Best american pool hall in the city, bar none. Table cloths always new and tables are always clean. Pockets seem to be tournament sized too which is a plus for avid players. Wish there was a promotion for customers who want to play long hours (3-5 hours), as rates are a bit on the pricier side. $50 entry WTA (Winner Takes All) 9-ball competition knockout would be great on the weekends (handicapping based on Fargo/skill). Mr.SUNG tables would be a great replacement when the OLIOS retire.

These guys just don't get it. Literally nobody wants to hear 90s and 00s R&B bangers at 6pm with the after work crowd. Just stop. Seriously. Try some jazz, some blues or light rock. It's always the same garbage playlist and it absolutely kills the atmosphere.

It's always such an amazing time coming here. Staff are always sweet as pie and the drinks we get are always amazing. Due to social anxiety, I never tried the pool as it's always busy, but one day, I hope to when it's less busy when I pop by, but all in all, this place is truly amazing to visit 🥰

I have adhd and walk around tables weird and always get cut of at 2 drinks I'm sorry that my adhd don't let me walk around tables normally and I use only my hips to walk

Best Guinness in Adelaide (self proclaimed from the bartender, but for good reason). Some customers were being difficult but the staff handled it very well. Pool tables are a bit expensive though

Staff is very racist and not polite, especially to Asian people and the male staff at the bar make us feel uncomfortable. Definitely not recommending to come here.

Never eaten here but the drinks service is good & as we go on a Sunday night we've always been able to get a table. It's a fun, low key evening out of your looking for something to do. Remember though, the longer you stay the more it costs. But great fun!

My mate and I come here once every few months for a few ginger beers and games of pool. Great place 👌

Always a great place to come and play pool with friends or adult members of your family. Great for parties or a quick game of pool and a few drinks. DJ was there on the Saturday night we played. Been here a few times and have never had any issues. A great place, great vibes all in all. An awesome place to go. Will always come back. Just make sure you have a physical license if you want to book a table.

Didn’t order any food here so can’t comment about food. Place is on the basement but directions from the main entrance are easy to follow. Cocktail drinks are affordable. Pool table is hired by the hour and you only pay for the time you used up. There’s ample spaces between the pool tables which is good.

Considering that empire is in the heart of the city, I have never had any issues with intoxicated people. The staff are friendly and welcoming. If you like to play pool and have some drinks, the empire pool lounge is a suitable establishment. I had a large table for about 2 hours and played about $45.

Ruby was absolutely amazing, we paid for our drinks at the bar and they left them there for 30 minutes then ruby came and made sure we got our drinks asking people what our number was because people didn’t know. Incredibly nice and considerate by the way. 5 stars!

Heaps of tables. Not too loud, good rates per hour for the tables too. Don't let the obscure entry put you off.

Came here as the second stop for a night out with mates. Not disappointed. We ended up staying til we were ready to head home, instead of bar crawling like we had expected. Thanks for a good night Empire!

Pool tables are clean, as are the cues. Service is generally friendly. The drinks are mid, the table price is fairly reasonable. It's open late, and the music is good too.
