Charming historical pub located in the heart of Windsor, a step back in time where you can enjoy ice cold tap beer, wines and spirits, a fantastic bistro to get yourself a great classic pub style meal along with daily specials matched with a fair price. Staff are friendly and attentive, Drive through bottle-shop, Multi story indoor and outdoor seating. Car park at rear of building along with street parking. Would recommend.

Wonderful old pub. A classic!

A bloody old pub and that’s the vibe you get, you get what you pay for. I had an amazing parmi and the beer was cold and cheap. In the wonderful old town of Windsor. A pub like this has stories to tell. Lovely staff. The locals were easy going. What else could you want?

Disappointed

Just your regular pub, the best thing about this pub is how historic it was which I loved and it definitely had the historic look and feel. The food was very average. Nothing to rave about and The atmosphere was also okay. The service was great but what you would expect from the Sydney pub.

I took my mother here for her 90th Birthday, amazing food, generous portions, good prices, quick service, The original architecture is also great to look at. Conveniently located.

One of the oldest pubs in Australia and still going strong! The food is typical pub grub and really good for the $ spent. The beer is cold with a good range and really reasonably priced. The service is great, laid back bar staff who are friendly and helpful. It has a real filled with locals feel about it and you just become one of them while you’re there. Have gone back many times and will continue to!

We had relaxing lunch upstairs over looking the park .lovely staff ,good pricing.

Went for dinner tonight with my niece. Service was incredible , all the staff were very friendly. So many food options to pick from . Ended up having the steak sandwich with sweet potato wedges and sweet chilli chicken wraps with chips. Incredibly well cooked, with huge portions. Added on 2 cokes and it was around $50 all up - for the size and quality of the meals you can’t get a better price! Will definitely be making this more of a regular for dinner.

Just wanted to say the food was superb last Saturday night (wanted the chef to know).

EDIT - they put the prices up. 🥲 Clarendon Tavern do 12 meals for $12 each. Macquarie Arms used to do $10 weekday lunches. Now they’re $15 The place looks terrible. No money ever spent on the decor. Chairs are ripped. The place smells. Zero maintenance. The cigarette smoke wafts into the dining area.

Everyday special offers with low price delicious foods. I like the steak 🥩 especially in rare condition and the famous cheese garlic bread. Only cost $17+$10, yummy 👍👍

My sister and I called in on a Tuesday. She ordered the pot pie, and I ordered the grilled veg stack with Halloumi . Both were amazing. Presentation was awesome. Bar staff were helpful and friendly. By the looks it would be an amazing atmosphere on the weekend. Would highly recommend a visit.

Been coming here for years and the food is always absolutely delicious. Great prices too. A bit chilly inside tonight but it is winter in Hawkesbury.

Good food but the top deck slopes a lot

Oldest pub in Australia, apparently. It was pleasant enough although I didn't have a meal, plenty of people were there for a feed...and it looked good from what I could see. Some good music from a muso strumming the guitar and singing songs... not going overboard on being loud, so you couldn't hear yourself having a conversation. I think it needs a spruce up, but maybe that's keeping the nostalgia alive.

Great place for a beer. We sat outside, great view. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. 👍

This is an awesome old school pub. The smell, the atmosphere. Very cool place. Staff were awesome, food is good and the beers are well priced.

Food took forever to arrive, waited for probably a good 30mins. Ordered medium but the steak turned up well-done. Chips was average

What a great experience, the oldest pub in Sydney, with very modern foods, had the Squid which was lightly battered and fried to perfection. Chips were not matchsticks, which was a plus. The only minor criticism...the sad salad. Great staff & friendly service.
