Horrible experience in this store. Only 2 registers during peak Christmas shopping with a line of around 15 people. Why did they make the register area so much smaller? Was going to buy a watch for around $400, took my sale elsewhere as I did not want to wait. Really poor design and management. Would give zero stars if possible. Lift your game JB!!

Such a vast range of music and movies. Also love the retro vinyl and the pop culture games, t-shirts and posters on offer. Always go in for one thing and come out with cd's, DVD's, pencil cases, notebooks, jigsaws and coffee mugs! Really good place to buy gifts for pop culture, music, movie and TV fans. Avoid going at peak times if possible. 23.6 after seeing Elvis movie went to buy soundtrack. Sales assistant had NO IDEA what I was talking about, yep never heard of Elvis, let alone movie. 24.2.25 so haven't been couple of years and I was shocked, practically no cd's, very few dvd's, shelves of collectbles and good old 33's but home appliances galore. Actually at first I thought they'd installed a coffee outlet, no just selling the machines. So basically if you want to buy music JB is now not the place to go. And hysterical to see albums selling for $150+ wow. Hysterical because I've got the originals. Anyway I think streaming damaged physical music, not ok.

Went in for a short visit on Friday 21/2, my daughter chose a CD, we waiting in line to pay while more staff than necessary wandered around focused on themselves rather than customers. Then just as we came to the front of the queue one of the pay attendants literally got up and walked off, without a word or even a glance to the next customer in line (us). Appeared as though he was off for a break. Basic customer care would suggest a brief comment to us (the customer) advising of the situation and we would be served asap. We were left hanging, and waiting…

Computer staff have little technical knowledge. I was looking for high powered Chromebook with an i7 processor. The jb HiFi computer team member sarcastically remarked in his ignorance that Chromebooks don't have i7 because they don't need it. As a Chromebook and Google enterprise user processor power is equally as important on a Chromebook as a PC. Having owned a number of i7 Chromebooks I know the difference it makes. As JB HiFi seemed to be ignorant of the Google chrome ecosystem I went on line and purchased an i7 Lenovo Chromebook from manly laptops. I would suggest that if you need a laptop get onto them as they appear to know about the Google ecosystem. I suggest JB upskill their computer team.

Yesterday evening the guy in charge of the Music section had NEVER HEARD of Paul McCartney or The Beatles. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!! What a joke! JB Southland have always been useless but that is just totally unacceptable and inconceivable. I walked out in discust and will never go back.

I attempted to buy a TV from this store , but I couldn’t find anyone to assist me. My partner and I asked multiple times for someone to help. After 45 minutes of waiting we walked out and purchased the TV from another company. I couldn’t even find anyone to complain to!

Zara B with the curly hair was really helpful and assisted me in troubleshooting my google nest mini. Thank you Zara!

Absolutely terrible service. Went to look at TVs, had to ask for assistance 3 times, however no one came to help after any of the times so left without purchasing and went elsewhere to purchase. Would recommend other stores.

Really really helpful staff. They had complete empathy, understanding and patients with my daughter and I when having issues with our mobile phone we brought from their store. I had amazing assistance with a TV I brought for a chrisas present and full information and clarity to make my decision within budget and needs. Highly recommend.

waited around for 30 minutes to get a 99 a month phone plan, no one came to help me, went up to like 3 blokes and woman, they were chatting with other customers for 30min about screen protectors. all useless staff

Staff were an helpful and were just standing around. When I asked for help I felt like it was a big inconvenience for them.

Two staff serving the front counter on black Friday... Seriously! 31 mins in line that's not customer service, surely you can organise staffing for the Biggest shopping experience of the year... Apparently not 😳

Great service and variety.

The team at JB Hi-Fi at Westfield Southland did exceptional work and showed compassion. I want to give a shout-out to Zara and the rest of the team for helping a beautiful female bulldog who was left outside the main entrance by a disgraceful human being. It was 36 degrees outside, and the idiot tied the bulldog's leash to a pole near the entrance and went shopping. I notified Zara and the team at JB, and they made every effort - they went above and beyond - to ensure the dog was cared for, including giving her some water on a blistering hot day. They called security, who reviewed the CCTV footage, and eventually, the owner showed up. Zara and the rest of the team showed great compassion and professionalism. I shop at this store often, and I can't fault the service, product range, prices, or anything else —they are great. But on a day I didn't buy anything, I was more impressed than I had been during all my past visits. Well done, Zara and team - and let's hope the bulldog owner gets in serious legal trouble, as he/she should.

Lovely staff who are very helpful. Great prices as only JB can do! It's nice having a local JB so close to home.

My thanks to Gabby and Cam today. Great customer service and professionalism. Yes, the shop can get busy at times and all customers want immediate attention but .... some of the sales needs a lengthy explanation and that is where JB staff excel. So ... it is worth the wait occasionally to get expert advice. They aren't selling Coles shop items. This mirrors my last experience. My thanks to Catherine (With a C) for finding the kids DVD through the hundreds there. Always a great experience. Many thanks Miss C.

Came to return an item still under warranty and buy a new playstation. Was served by Mark who was super helpful - great service :)

I went into the Southland store to return an item purchased online via Afterpay. It's now been 8 days since I returned the goods and no refund has been processed. The store claims it wasn't processed correctly and I'm still waiting for my money back. Thankfully it's not a huge sum of money, but hardly the point.

Store is hard to find. It is tucked away in the corner. Staff are great and store is stocked well with products.

The worst customer service I've seen. Continually asked where products were located. Couldn't be assed actually showing me where products are. I couldn't find what I was looking for. Asked again, still nothing. More interested in talking amongst them selves. Won't be back

Went in, looking for a DAB portable radio. Jason assisted me & was awesome - even price matching Myer! Only one left - so he assisted me in opening the packaging, for a closer look. Thanks, Jason - so happy with the whole service (including the friendly Guy, at the register) & the JBL product 👍🏼 Cheers 😃

I left this comment a week ago, but get deleted. I would like to let the store know, the service lady (with glasses) at the counter has no customer service ability, she is also reluctant to help people out. She was not able to find my online order and ask me to call online support. However her colleague manage to locate it. I have encountered her 2 times in different days. Every time she is in a rush and impatient manner. I urge the store to take action on it.

Paul, in the phone section- was amazing today. Was so helpful, and so professional. He picked up that I had my phone screen protector still on ( over 4 years!) and I did not notice this. He helped me trouble shoot my problem on my device, and broke down very evidence based reasons for how I can narrow down my choises of phone replacements. Thank you so much Paul! Its hard going into a store with a toddler too- you rocked.

Great shopping experience at this JB branch. Very friendly staff and the store is clean and well stocked. Cannot fault JB's return policies if anything goes wrong.

Bought some storage devices ~ USB and other. Was assisted by Will ~ he was outstandingly professional, courteous and helpful. Needed assistance with my iPhone ~ download of photos ~ I am an OG analogue guy! Will’s patience was appreciated .

I love jb hifi as you can buy an iPhone, an ipad, a macbook air or Macbook pro, an hp envy laptop or a Google home or any other electronic device. The staff is very friendly too!

Always busy here after 11am

We waited for approximately an hour for someone to assist us. When an issue arose, the manager was not present, and no one bothered to contact him or address the problem. None of the employees were aware of the product's price or the available discounts, and they were very disrespectful. This experience was disappointing. In the future, I will buy the product I want from other stores, even if it costs more, because I will not be returning to this store.

Tried to call to see if there were some computers/tablets on display before coming in to try them. Hung on the phone for 20 mins while they tried to transfer me to someone in store. The computer person was busy, which is fine, but the girl on the phone said that no-one was available to quickly check if the ones I wanted to see were on display. Pretty poor display of customer service, when it would take 2 seconds to see if they were on the store floor... I won't shop here on principle based on my experience today.

Huge shoutout to Morgan from JB Southland. I went in needing help for a TV insurance claim. He was so patient with my million questions, & very knowledgeable Even though they work on commission, he never dismissed me , instead went above and beyond to help me. This is a true example of excellent customer service.
