I had the peri chicken burger. The burger looked amazing when I opened the box. The bun was plump and fresh, plenty of lovely fresh salad plus fresh grilled chicken breast in a tasty marinade. I can't wait to try some more items off the menu!

Fed a group of 70 students for a lunch on school camp. Well organised, value for money and delicious food. Kids gave it a massive thumbs up. Looked after dietary requirements and was very careful of informing us the ingredients for a couple of anaphylaxis kids. Thanks for the support and ease of organisation.

Huge shoutout to Dean at main grill Mornington, this guy absolutely kills it every shift. Always friendly, quick, and gets every order spot on, even when the place is packed. You can tell he actually cares about the job and the customers, which is rare these days. Definitely deserves a raise for the effort he puts in!

Lamb souvlaki with extra garlic sauce was so delicious! I thought the price was a bit steep for takeaway souvlaki but I was wrong! Stacked with juicy lamb and the bread was so soft and just melts in your mouth! Best lamb souvlaki I have had in years!

Saw they did fried chicken and wanted to chuck into a local business rather than KfC. The staff were lovely and made me their best effort but unfortunately they have a lot of work to do when it comes to fried chicken. Pretty basic, under seasoned, over cooked and greasy. no sauces or similar to accompany. I get that it’s a charcoal chicken place so not a massive issue. Check out some fried chicken recipes online I recomen doing some brining and come up with a signature seasoning.

Absolutely the best Chicken I’ve tasted for ages, called around on a busy Saturday and the phone service was awesome. I had loads of questions and it was effortless.. picked up my order and the staff were lovely, fast and efficient went out of their way to ensure I had all I needed the to top it off the chicken was out of this world tasty, juicy and moorish. Went back the week after for more and got the same service…. Great find!

The sweet potato fries were so salty as to be inedible, the chicken overcooked and dry and so so-called peri peri chicken turned out to be merely normal chicken with some type of gloopy but not spicy sauce all over it. Give this place a miss!

I was going for a frolic down main street, I usually do, and thought i’d give it a go. I ordered a fried chicken burger deal, which included A delicious friend chicken burger, well seasoned chips and a cold drink. Great little shop with really kind workers, who know the menu really well!!

Well Main Grill, you never fail to disappoint. Seriously, using the ends of the tomatoes in your souvlaki’s is so damn cheap. The lack of sauce made for a tasteless dry horrible experience. Unfortunately the only fast food place open due to Christmas closures. Never, ever again 😡😡😡

Coming all the way from the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne for a day trip to Mornington, Main Grill was exactly what we needed. It was the perfect lunch for my husband and I. The workers were all very friendly and inviting. The locals are very lucky to have such a great place to eat.

Owner is very sweet & genuine! Food is cozy and yummy, and portions are generous for decent price!! Would definitely drop by again if passing by the town! definitely recommend for a cozy and warm loving meal!

Was in the area and googled for a charchol chicken place. Decided to give this place a go, and glad I did. I got a 1/4 chicken and chips and it was full of flavour. The chicken and the chips were both cooked perfectly with great seasoning as well. Only minor thing I noticed was that they put less chips in as other places I usually go too locally to me, but overall I would go back if I was in the area again.

It's bad, dry chicken, overcooked chips and pretty expensive. Gravy was absolutely gross. Won't be back, no idea how it has 4.5 stars.

Hands down the best fried chicken burger you will ever find in Melbourne area! I’ve had my fair share of fried chicken burgers all around the world and this is the absolute best. Ingredients are premium, from bun to fresh veggies and juicy tender crispy thigh filet and sauces. Big portions, reasonable priced as well. We drive 45 minute from Melbourne only to get the burger several times a month and are never disappointed. Super service as well, absolutely love it.

We had planned to go elsewhere but they were closed. Walking up and down main street and we saw this little place that had gluten free and dairy free options. The place is rather small but the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, he great choice of background music. Sal greeted us very cheerfully and helped us with all the questions related to dietary needs. We ordered the 1/4 chicken and chips and I'll have to say the best gluten free chips I have ever had and the chicken had a delicious marinade and it was very succulent. Im not a local, when I am in the area again I'll be buying from Sal. Thank you so much for your friendliness and willingness to answer our questions. When you get the gluten free dairy free pita bread recipe right I'll be buying a souvlaki.

Disappointment on multiple fronts. Not only was our order incorrect, but I have also been unwell for the past two days, which is clearly due to the quality of the food. Garlic sauce was curdled and meat was undercooked. The service was subpar; our order was placed over the phone and then left under the heat lamps for at least ten minutes before being served when we picked it up. Additionally, staff were unfamiliar with the till and the order was missing several ingredients which we didn’t know about till it was already made. Eat here at your own risk.

Tried the southern fried chicken and an open lamb souvlaki. Other order was a burger and chips and 3 pieces of chicken too. Chicken overcooked so much the coating was nearly black and the chicken dried out to the point of being nearly inedible. The open lamb souvlaki looked ok but the pita was like a biscuit and the lamb was super oily. Lettuce was browned on all the edges. Definitely not worth $63 dollars.

Eat here if you wanna experience heaven. I still dream of that fried chicken burger.

Sal at Main Grill was kind enough to make lunch for the whole team at Mercedes Benz Mornington. The food was very tasty and fresh and made very quickly considering how big our order was. First time at Main Grill and we loved it all! Souvlaki’s were delicious, the marinade on the meat was so yum and the bread was so tasty! We also tried the Korean chicken drumsticks and honey soy drum sticks and they were juicy and delicious! To top it off we also had some chips which were seasoned perfectly and still crunchy, and the mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes which was so homely you could tell it was made fresh. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and the owners were so polite. This will be our new regular!

Best chicken burger ever

Benton square shop, chicken was not very good, chips were okay, portions very small for the price and the staff couldn’t hide the fact they didn’t want to be there. Recommend the fish and chip shop or noodle bar next door as a better option.

The peri chicken burger was absolutely amazing and so were the chips! Amazingly priced for the quality we received and it's great to see a beautiful family run business!
