Nice enough food and big portions. The place was nice (as it is heritage) but it was very noisy and was very difficult to have a conversation as we could not hear each other. Service was ok and polite.

Lovely place. Very historic with lots of stuff to look at. Beautiful setting in Keilor. Oldest family run pub in Australia is the boast. Food is ok for a pub. I just want to see the bistro manager smile.

Food is great. Meals are huge, even kids and pensioner meals are large meals. Nice atmosphere. The staff are lovely. It's a little expensive but if you're into large meals, it's worth it.

Came here with a group, hesitated on the food price, then ordered the porterhouse (may as well). And it was the best steak I've had in years, possibly ever. Closest I can think of was a steakhouse from 7 years back (which still might not be as good as this). Props to the Cook, wonderful place, some of the greatest food I've ever had.

Had the brisket which was tremendous. Even had the girl serving us select a drink at random and it was spot on. Middle of the day so hard to give 5 stars for atmosphere, but still good

Meal for the 9 of us was the usual standard - quite reasonable and appropriately priced. Service from one waiter was unacceptable - loud, confusing and below standard for any venue. Not sure about returning again.

I ordered the oven baked Snapper, gluten free. I got a piece of fish with no flavour and basic side salad with balsamic glaze for $39. Way too over priced, I couldn’t eat the fish or the salad. Waste of money and time, I wish I didn’t come here for my birthday. I would have complained to the waiter but nobody came to check on us after they delivered the food. A refund would be great.

Cannot rate this brilliant pub highly enough. Meals were superb....chicken risotto....delicious, steak sandwich....amazing and the steak was cooked as it was requested. A big thanks to Kaylene for fitting us in to an already pre-reseved bistro and can definitely recommend the meal, the atmosphere and the quality service.

We stopped in at the Keilor Hotel to catch the last quarter of the Collingwood vs North Melbourne game, and what an exciting finish it was! The Pies clinched victory by just one point in the last seconds. The atmosphere was electric, and the sense of camaraderie among patrons was fantastic. After the game, we headed to the bistro where we enjoyed a couple of drinks and a delicious meal in front of a cozy open fireplace. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours on a cold winter's day. The warmth of the fire, the friendly staff, and the historical charm of the hotel made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this gem of a pub for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Had the fish and chips today it was horrible , the fish was floury to taste , thought it was me but the guy opposite me had the same dish and he didn’t eat it as well for the same reason. Bitterly disappointed . The waiter practically threw the dish on the table , he obviously wasn’t having a good day.. This place is my local looks like will have to go up the road from now on.

It was the second time in two visits that our food arrived before our drinks ,,, which does not allow us to enjoy and relax before enjoying our food

This place has been inconsistent over the years and its hit and miss menu and food has made me not want to go back ever again. Overrated and overpriced pub food.

Just had a lovely meal. The website doesnt give it justice. We arrived in the area quite late and didnt want to get in the car again after a 6 hour drive. Walked across the road and into a beautifully turned out bistro with old bluestone, an artistically, mirrored well stocked bar, lovely attentive staff and good diversive menu. Seniors rates as well. Great venue with varied areas such as a relaxing sitting area and old paraphenalia such as an old coach displayed. Would come back any time. If travelling through the area make a detour to this destination. You will not be disappointed. Probably returning tomorrow night before our journey back to East Gippsland. Thank you.

First off, I walked into the place and the atmosphere was off. People falling off their chairs and bugs scattered everywhere. I recommend keeping the place cleaner than keeping it in this disgusting state. will NOT be coming back here!

Some of the food served included, mini burgers, fried calamari, chicken and beef on skewer, mini pies, meatballs, fruit, mini cakes and more. Nice atmosphere. The food was fine except for the chewy" beef. Parking available but can get very busy. Not a problem for patrons with mobility issues."

Like the staff the parma was very disappointing. Sticky tables, dirty menus and no bar service, you know you are in a pub. Went into pokies room later received the worst service. Ambience was like someone died. Asked for a reserve board and tall blonde woman looked annoyed with my request, she handed me the sign didn't even look or speak. Staff clearly did not want to be there. Not one to usually complain but here are some tips for improvement! * Clean and then clean again * Train your hospitality staff to be happy or get new staff * Talk & engage with your customers - remember you are in a service industry

Fried calamari entree was really nice. Open souvlaki was good, but could've used a bit more meat in it. Some pieces were really juicy but others were a bit dry. Tiramisu dessert was tasty but not the best. Service was fantastic and atmosphere was great with the big fireplace keeping my back nice and warm.

Service was nice but unfortunately the food wasn't. I had the mussels. They were very expensive, there weren't a lot of them and they were served with 3 very thin, very small, and very burnt pieces of bread. We were there for a birthday and I didn't want to make a scene or ruin the event for the other people in my group, but I wouldn't come back here

Turned up at 11:50 am and asked for some items to come out onto the table at 12:35 pm, after 1 pm I was asking what going on ? Got home just now and looked at the bill and have been changed for items that NEVER were put on the table. Phoned serval times and always get an answering machine, note on the bottom of the bill their list their phone number as 9334 04000 yes too many numbers, I am guessing this is a special receipt for the customers that they steal money from, give this place a BIG miss, customer service very poor and then they steal from you.
