I have to be honest... I wasn't expecting much from the Maldives Resort but OMG!!! Talk about being pleasantly surprised!!! The location is fabulous - a block from the beach, and in the other direction, a block from a strip of restaurants, bars and shops. The room was SO GOOD! Spacious and had everything I needed! The only criticism was that whatever they'd cleaned the floors with made them very grimy and slippery. I didn't see anyone at reception at all during my stay, but also didn't need to. All in all, will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location to access all of Main Beach and Tedder Avenue's eateries and bars. The property is a little older but well managed. Nice pool and heated spa section. Some rooms a little small and tired but the sea views and breeze, only partly obstructed by two tall buildings are marvellous.

Meh! Won’t stay there again but location is great. Room on 5th floor was outdated and most items were damaged or dirty.

Another stay at our favourite The Maldives. Lovely location, one block to the beach. Super friendly, staff were lovely. Small and very clean room, we were in 1101 a corner unit, this time east facing with fabulous views. Renovated unit, lovely bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable lounge, armchair and verandah lounge. Bed was quite firm but comfortable. Great carpark, best location 😁 Definitely will return.

This was an amazing experience! The front desk attendant sherry was very kind, informative and very helpful. The room we stayed in was magnificent, amazing view of the ocean and had all the amenities, laundry, fridge stove. Would definitely come back here! Although there was a big gap between our checkout and our flight the staff was very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage with the reception for a few hours. Overall amazing experience! Would highly recommend!👌🏾👏🏾🙏🏾

Ok for a last minute for 1 night

Room was not properly cleaned, used tissue under bed and that self proclaimed high speed internet was non existent. Could not work, could hardly read the news online.

Rooms were clean and functional I arrived early for a work lunch/xmas party and they let me check in at 12 - which made my life super easy .. nice staff and easy going - will stay again

Good option if you want a clean handy apt at Main Beach, Gold Coast, handy to everything. Loved the inclusive car parking.

Extremely unimpressed with our stay. The blankets in our room were covered in stains. The blanket provided for the queen bed was a SINGLE size fuzzy blanket with cigarette burns in it. This is just the beginning. Our toaster was completely broken. When we finally got through to someone at the front desk that is hardly reachable, they brought us a disgusting dirty sandwich press. This doesn’t help us. We needed toaster. The shower leaks every time you shower in large amounts out the seams of the door so you’re bath mat is soaking wet after every single shower. The ceiling above the bed is covered in clumps of dust that you can see blowing in the air con. Gross. All dishes were disgusting and dirty. Curtains were dirty. Thick layer of dust on many surfaces. Complained to the front desk. No compensation provided. I would definitely not recommend staying here!

Our stay at the Maldives Resort was fantastic! The room was beautiful with a great view of the beach and the city. We came here on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. Great location, just that perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle. The neighbourhood was quiet at night and lively during the day. On top of that, the service was great! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Gold Coast if you wanted to check out the theme parks and the city, it’s right in the middle. Great spot!

Bathroom filthy with pubic hairs on door, hasnt been cleaned properly for years. Furniture old and substandard, stains on carpet, bed lumpy.|Flatpack drawers faling apart.|Cracked tiles in kitchen. Mismatched glasses and cups.|Avoid, will never stay here again.

Great location. The positives end there. Couch was soiled and in need of replacement, bathroom had mould in shower, built up dirt and dust on walls behind the toilet, cracked kitchen tiles, damaged walls. Mattress gave me a sore shoulder. Everything is substandard, including the woman on front reception who was most unwelcoming and had no interest in why I was checking out a day early. Never again.

Supposedly a superior room, I have stayed in basic motels that were cleaner. I checked out a day early because my room was so uncomfortable and disgustingly dirty. I have also rarely felt so unwelcomed by the woman on the reception desk. Visit Main Beach about twice a year. WON’T be back to this place.

The overall experience wasn’t enjoyable. The room was extremely dusty, dirty and was not cleaned to the standards expected. The bathroom sink was clogged, dirty walls, kitchen cutlery and plates dirty. Construction was going on in front of the building and it was extremely noisy, couldn’t sit out on the balcony. View was probably the only positive about my 4 night stay. |Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Location was great. Nice and easy to get to places and away from the riff raff of surfers. Great walking distance to alot of places including marina for whale watching or seaworld if you wanted to walk not drive. 15k round walk to the end of the spit if you enjoy a walk. Service of staff on arrival and departure was good. Room was average but would still stay again. Pillows need to be better -a bit firmer not so soft.

Some of the cleaning was very poor. Under the bed and under the sofa obviously hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned for months. The rest was fine. The sofa is very uncomfortable and poor quality. It's a very easy walk to the beach and the shops at Tedder Avenue.

The Maldives Report apartment is perfectly located within a short walk to the beach and great restaurants and cafes in Tedder Ave. I enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa most days, particularly at night. My apartment was on level 9 and this provides a wonderful opportunity to watch whales from the balcony. The apartment has all you need for a comfortable stay and was neat and tidy, it certainly felt like home after a day out. Having a reception desk is helpful for any queries who may have.

This has to be the worst ever, the shower was absolutely filthy , glasses filthy, cheap nasty bed and pillows even the photos can’t describe how bad it is, checked in at 7 pm and told housekeeping would come to clean at 9.30 am the next day. Kettle never been cleaned, I will be seeing this one through.

Apart from a musty smell (carpet?), a shower door that wont close and nobody at reception on the weekend, the place is fine. Free undercover parking too! 👍🏼 I emailed prior to my stay and asked for a ‘room with a view’. I got that on the 14th floor, facing Main Beach, which was very much appreciated. The apartment is well stocked. Esp the kitchen. Not that we cooked. Only used cups, glasses and teaspoons. You need to clean your dishes and empty the bins before you go. Or they charge you $50. The toilet paper is Sorbent. We slept with the sliding door open to have the surf lull us to sleep. Plenty of eateries within walking distance! Public transport options are good. Went to the 7 Eleven for late night snacks. Safe to walk around in the evening. Didn’t checkout the pool. A bit cold. We wanted to stay another night but got no reply to the email. I could have called but cbf. Will be back for a longer stay to thoroughly do the tourist thing!

After my third time staying at the Maldives Resort, I want to note here that it's great accommodation! Clean rooms, many useful amenities and facilities, lovely views, secure parking, short walk to the shops and the beach, affordable and the staff are kind and helpful. I'll be staying there again and may book in for a night or two more so I can get more RnR.

The rooms could use an upgrade, but if you book in advance the prices are fair and it's in a great view and location. It was mostly clean but a little dusty, and they make you take your own trash out and do all dishes. For the 2 day stay we had I wish we didn't have to do this, but for the price it's understandable. Overall good stay 🏖

We stayed for a couple of nights early week just for a break. Staff were great and gave me the best deal just for making a call and asking. Great unit on the top floor with Beach Views and the price was fantastic. Unit was clean and tidy. Everywhere on the premises we went the place smelt fresh and clean. Will defiantly be our get away spot from now on. The team at Maldives are some of the friendliest people in hotel management I have ever dealt with. Thanks to you all.

We stay at Maldives once a month, honestly one of the best places in main beach for a couple getaway that doesn't hurt the wallets. Except this time we were excited to get given the top floor 15... Though we couldn't sleep the whole stay due to the next room , fighting, yelling screaming it was insane. We spoke to the young woman at reception and said she would talk to John( must be manager) though nothing since, no call no email nothing. I'm shocked that we received no feedback of any kind and I think it's time to do our monthly stays elsewhere. Not happy with the follow up though a honest review is it's clean n tidy n value for money. Be really careful getting the top floor though as you will get no rest or sleep until 4 am

NEVER AGAIN! We're deeply disappointed with our stay at the Maldives Resort. I considered cancelling when we got into our room, but it was after hours & wasn't worth it after the trip here to find new accommodation on such short notice. Upon arrival (after hours), all was well & went smoothly for booking in. The gentleman at the counter was lovely. We went up to the apartment to find our accommodation was not at all what was described or depicted on the website. Which is misleading & deceptive. The walls were putrid, with splatter marks of filth & stains. You can clearly define the difference between wear & tear & filth. The walls, switches, windows & power points would come up a treat with a wipe over with sugar soap & windex. The kitchen floor was sticky & the fridge had old food crumbs in it & the seals were dirty too. There were fingerprints everywhere over the kitchen cupboards & bench tops as well. We had to clean every dish & utensil we needed to use as they too were not clean & stained. Even the plug to use in the sink was filthy - we couldn't believe it, it was like several people had stayed & the room hadn't been cleaned or something, except for a quick vacuum & sheet change. We feel as though a backpackers would have been cleaner than this room. Yes, it may appear tidy as in everything is in its place, but it was so far from clean or up to a standard of a resort accommodating guests. The lamp didn't work (bulb must be blown). The ceiling fan blades were filthy - you can see it in the pictures I took. Everything felt sticky & dirty. As for the TV, this is a bit of an OH&S issue with leads hanging out of the wall like that. You need to have a proper power point, not a hole in the wall through the plaster, this is NOT what a resort accommodation would have. I haven't even gotten to the bathroom or bedroom yet. The bathroom wasn't very clean either, with grime, dust, mildew & mold. We understand you're near the beach, but we reside near a beach & this doesn't occur with proper cleaning. Again this room too had splatters of filth on walls. The walls were all half botched and not patched up properly. The bedroom: Again walls were grotty, fan dirty, bedside lamps covered in dust & dirt. It was like the balcony was cleaner than the inside space. Now that's saying something. The next day, we came back from a day out exploring to find someone had taken our allocated car space. I approached the gentleman at the front desk as my husband patiently waited in the car park for me to find out what was going on. The gentleman on the desk said to move our car to space 26, which was on the other side of the car park away from the lift. He said he'd leave a notice on the car that had taken our space, which we assumed the car would eventually be moved. But the next morning the car was still there, without a note on it. Later that day we returned hoping our original allocated space would be free again, still the car had not been Each time we came back from a walk in the afternoon the common area from the elevator to the room stunk & smelt like dirty wet clothes & cigarettes. I hate to be negative, nor do I like to leave a bad review, but this really dampened our stay on the Gold Coast. The positives from this stay was location, a firm mattress & a brief, friendly encounter with the gentlemen at the front office & secure parking. We travel a lot & have stayed in many kind of accommodation, resorts, hotels etc. We would not stay here again, nor would we recommend it to anyone.

Pros..free secure parking , close the beach and restaurants, a nice pool area, a nice beach view from the ocean view rooms Cons ...hot rooms with no control over the air-con ..and cannot turn it down from the set 27 degrees for all guest apartments , in summer so hot .....no bathtubs only old style showers .. some lights and electrical were not working THE pool does not open until 9am ..It would have been good to get in for a swim at 7.30am in summer before it starts getting to hot . Some of the other guests can be noisy and when I was there somebody of my floor was cooking at 1000am asian food lunch time and late at night with massive amounts of garlic which was permeating through the air conditioning ducts and I had to open all the doors to get rid of the nauseating smell all of the time.. but the apartments are reasonably priced..and in a convenient area.

Had an amazing time here! Such great customer service and the location is amazing, such beautiful beach views from your apartment and literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and the local shopping strip. Very well priced and they definitely make it a seamless process to check in and out. The apartment was also very nice and spacious. Overall had a great time and would 100% stay again.

Room was nice, clean. But the bedroom door opened onto the bedframe so you couldn’t get into the room completely. Stayed on the 2nd floor and people from the pool could see directly into our room.

Location is good. But room is pretty old and furniture probably need replaced. The mattress got one side spring broken. And balcony door lock is broken, even it’s required to be locked. The apartment require customer clean the dishes before you leave, but there is. No any clean cloth provided. Stayed 5 days only 1 washing power and 1 rubbish bag provided. No any napkin or tissue in the room. A lot need to be improved.

Very good, esp since my room was at a competitive price. Very comfortable apartment, great location close to the beach, free parking, nice pool area and warm spa. Only a few small things could improve: sand on the floor of apartment, half used soap containers left in the shower, the television location on drawers in the bedroom wasn’t the best spot, a dish cloth or dishwasher detergent would have been nice so I could clean the dishes easily. A good stay though, I recommend this place, esp if you find an apartment for a competitive price.

Good central location with secured parking and building access. Our room had a missing window and the sheets were stained, luckily there was a washing machine. Friendly service. Bring your own toiletries as rooms aren't serviced.

Good location for the beach and cafes. Out door visotor parking for cars higher than 2.1m. I stayed in floor 5, compared to my friend on floor 8, I only had an average size television in the living room, compared to large televisions in the living room and bedroom. Level 8 room also had an oven, handy for pies..

Priced pretty good for midweek in winter . Good walking distance to beach and cafes .

Wonderful service, spectacular rooms and nice short walk to Main Beach. I was anticipating sleeping on a sofa in the room my family had booked, but was delighted to be able to get my own room right next to the one my family had. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were sticking together. It was quiet, comfortable and affordable. Will definitely be staying again!

The room was not clean - a used soap bar and shampoo bottles were left in the shower, a soap wrapper was on the bathroom counter, and the coverlet on the bed had stains on it. We didn't feel that the place had been cleaned thoroughly (yet there was a sign stating that if you leave any dishes unwashed, there would be a $50 fee). Service was good prior to check in, but not great on the actual check-in day - the hotel said they would let us know when early check-in was available, but they never called us. About an hour before scheduled check-in we went to the buzzer outside reception (which was unattended on Sundays), waited on hold for five minutes, and then the person told us we might be able to check in if our key is in the after hours box. Luckily it was there, else we wouldn't have been able to use the parking prior to our concert we were attending. Location is pretty good. It's not a busy night life area, but there are some nice restaurants nearby. Street parking has time limits, so I wouldn't stay in this area if you don't book hotel garage parking.

It was a nice stay but maintenance needs attention on windows, doors, sliding was very difficult, they also needed cleaning carpets had stains on them, pool was clean but spa needed cleaning. I have stayed here many times before but this was the worst I’ve seen it although I enjoy my stays at Maldives. There friendly and helped with the sliding door being stuck.

We stayed a few days at Maldives Resort on Gold Coast. It is located in a good location, close to all places we wanted to go. The rooms were neat and maintained.

Had nice views on 14th floor looking towards beach & surfers paradise. Staff very friendly. Alot of building construction going on in area they started about 6.30am every morning & often went to 5-5.30pm. So couldn't get a much quiet time. Apartment needed many basic items, which should of been there already. Apartment needed a clean lounge very dirty &, some outdoor comfy chairs for balcony. Staff helpful.
