Had our work Christmas party in the function room - staff were so helpful and friendly, from the time I arrived to set up and throughout our whole event. Food was delicious and exactly as promised, and the function area was ideal for what we wanted. Parking was a little confusing to work out, but everything else about our night was really great.

Top class Thursday night special Porterhouse steak, chips and salad. High value and perfect. I highly recommend this bistro.

Handy location in the middle of town. A surprisingly good selection of excellent meals in quality and quantity quickly served and reasonably priced. Great for a lunch. Friendly staff who provide a free coffee to start with and pleasant banter to go with it. A very human place I'm going every Monday for lunch as I travel into the area for sport and will continue to do so. Nice to find a clean Aussie food venue one can rely on and look forward to visiting. Cheerio to the bar staff and thanks😊

Terrific pub great food

Calamari soft and cooked just right. Salmon crispy skin and just right cooked fish. Potatoes very good. Vegies soft. Sauces all good Bistro seemed very bare yet the food was excellent. Recommended. No issues 🙂

I would like to say thank you to the waitress who kept my wallet (I lost it in the restaurant early tonight) in a safe place for collection. This restaurant serves quality food by quality people.👍

This place has had a make over some time ago and the bistro presents well and serves great meals. Bar meals and pub area are comfortable with multiple seating options and there's a nice covered outside area. Plenty of tables and easily accommodate several large groups without feeling crowded or disruptive. A regular for work lunch/events, and dinner for me as a local. The local crowd can be mixed, sometimes a bit of ruckus, but the barkeeps handle well. 🤣

Excellent service, great food at reasonable prices. Great for families and great place for catch-up. A few weeks ago, we walked in for dinner. There was a big group. We waited for 15 minutes and the staff came to apologise for the delay and offered us a free dessert. How sweet and nice. Thank you for making us feel welcome and valued. Will be back!

Definitely the worst pub bistro meal I have ever had. Calamari was way too salty and the steak was Terrible.

They had staff shortages, especially being a weekend. The servers at the bar were very busy to take orders and serve at the same time. Food was good and the ambiance was nice and not noisy.

Not bad at all Albion! Steak was cooked perfectly, dining area was modern and welcoming. Staff were helpful and professional. Easy parking on side street.

Tonight I went there to play machines and I asked staff to check time on machine . She told me give her 2sec. I waiting for 30 mins. She not come and don’t care just keep talking with another staffs at the bar. Place just small and not busy but don’t want to do her job. Very very bad service . First time and last time this place.

(5-10-23) The waitress was very rude and looked like she didn't want to be there. Ordered our meals and waited so we could order drinks again was rude and it didn't seem like she new what she was doing. We receivied our Entree of Calamari which was quite nice the waitress was so rude that she came to take the plate away before we had even finished. We barely finished our Entree and the mains was brought out - Chicken Scaloppini, The Chicken was quite nice but there was way, way to much sauce and that ruined the whole dish. When the waitress collected out plates she asked if we still wanted out dessert, (Chocolatae Mouse with cream and Strawberries) because we hadn't finished out plates. Dessert arrived and again a big disappointment, it was served in a Water Glass and had some sort of berry puree over it, this again ruined the whole dessert. We were not told or asked if the berry stuff would be ok. It would have been a big no from us. We have had tea there before and it was quite nice unfortunately after this experience I don't think we will be back!! Also when we ordered we were the only people in the Bistro and one other gentleman came a bit later!!

Terrible food.We left this place quicker than the food came out. Wouldn’t come back here ever again.

Seriously, this is the best place ever. Don't underestimate it. Just cause of the location doesn't mean anything. The staff are really good. Really nice. Really kind really friendly super duper duper uber ooper awesome! Really nice people. Amazing food, great deals. I just can't spot any negative. Again don't worry about the atmosphere. Everything's all good. The staff are just so good and so welcoming and so happy and so friendly. You are absolutely love it here. Best ever family fun friendly environment. Really enjoyed it. Thanks again guys for awesome place

OK popped in here to play machines and the hostess announces that it's steak night (Thursday). So I'm there, it is 22 bucks and I am like WTH why not. And then THIS bucket of goodies rocks up to the table instantly Instagram-able and totally delicious. Crisp chips, veges and a perfect medium steak. Whatever you are doing Albion in the kitchen keep it up!

Had lunch here. Steaks were amazing but the chicken Parma was very average. For a pub staple that was disappointing. Also they forgot to put dressing on my salad.

An average local pub if you’re looking for a casual bistro experience. The food was yummy - not outstanding and something to rave about, but definitely not terrible. The staff were kind, but the security guards at the pokies made my friend and I uncomfortable. We showed our IDs at entry and let them know we were busting for the bathroom, and they tried to talk to us and say we look like we are in high school and that we are very young; it felt as though they were trying to compliment us. Really unnecessary.

The porterhouse is most definitely not porterhouse 😂

Hello me and my mate tried this place several times, for roast of the day dinner , sometimes it was ok, but most times not consistant, beef wasnt cooked properly, another time my mate got metal scourer piece of metal in his mash, we showedd the manager she did not seem too concerned at all. cant say il be back there anytime soon, it should be better. always strive for the best, thats all thanks

Nice serving of steak and chips.

Terrible food, terrible atmosphere. Basic bistro food that they couldn’t even get right. Starters were appalling and just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, the mains came out. Steak tasted old and wasn’t cooked as requested. Parma was as tough as flip flops. Portion of chips are all over the place. Nothing tasted fresh. We left this place quicker than the food came out. Wouldn’t come back here ever again.

Ate here the other night and the food was enjoyable. Victoria served us alone and she was both friendly and hard-working. Hubby and I will be back for sure.

Another great meal. Took the family to th Albion for dinner. Service was great! Meal was really Enjoyable. Beer was super cold! The sports bar entry was a little rough, and not the most comfortable. I decided to pick the family up from out the front instead of out the back were I park. My meal was the Aussie Parma. So good!🤤

I'm not the organiser. We came here for a friend's 30th birthday and were looking forward to a private area that was done up for the occasion. Unfortunately upon entry the indoor function area turned outside very quickly with rain spraying down the roof in a few places. The floor was a few centimetres deep in the areas where people would be standing. The seating areas both had sprays of water throughout. Eventually after trying to mop out the area we were told they could change the location to a more public area in the venue but still we would have some privacy. This seemed to work quite well! The staff were helpful. The drinks were priced ok. There were mixed feedback about the food, but I liked what I had. Some of the food that was paid for didn’t actually make it out which was a shame and I’m hopeful that the money for that was refunded. Being told by one of the security guards to stop using the toilet so much confused me, I'm not sure what that was about. I would hire this area myself - when the roof is fixed because this is Melbourne and we know the clouds can dump at any time here! The birthday girl enjoyed herself :) Thanks heaps for your service.

What a terrible experience we has at the Albion tonight We sat towards the back of the main dinning room and froze all evening . Neither of the 2 open fire places were lite,: when asked we were told the only lady who knew how to light them;had left ???? Ever heard of a match guys. My daughter had risotto which was cold while we waited a further 45min for the rest of the table a table to get food which came in dribs a drabs The steak was OK however the pie was terrible and my Kiev had not a ounce of garlic butter in it. My son-in-law had a lamb burger which came out after the other five of us had eaten . I so wanted this to be a good a experience but was sadly disappointed We had to get coffee from the sports bar and the lattes sprinkled with chocolate but the cappuccino left blond. No saucers as they had run out no spoons or sugar given . We left stone cold, party because the main entrance door was left open and each time the door to the dinning was opened a gush of cold air followed. E When it's 7 degrees outside and you have no heating a soft in the morgue would havecbeen better. I really wanted this to be a good experience but what a total waste of $250:00 + dollars You will need to lift your game as a small business you are failing on the small stuff which is important for the repeat business you will need to survive will need to do better Shame on this attempt .

Had to see the a friend who's staying there. I had a drink downstairs which was quite enjoyable. Not for families.

Returned after 3 yrs, disappointed. Was our favorite venue. Always great meals, staff & atmosphere. Last night husband ordered a mixed grill with vegies (choice of this or salad & chips on menu), it came out with salad & chips, so he asked about the vegies, told it would take a few minutes and to eat the mixed grill part which he did, as he didn't want it to get cold. Ten minutes later, no vegies, so told them to forget about it & was offered a free glass of wine, staff not concerned and was told that's the kitchens responsibility. After that staff completely ignored us, not even clearing the table & only waved goodbye as we left.

Went to the restaurant, the food was not great, definitely didn't taste like any salt and pepper calamari I've had before. The service was okay, very slow and seemed totally uninterested.

Dined in the bistro on a quiet evening, meals took about 40 minutes but were tasty and decent servings so no complaints on the food, service on the other hand... Incredibly rude waitress (Brianna), didn't mention the bistro was shutting at 830 or the kitchen was closing so when we asked to order dessert at 835 were told abruptly no chance kitchen closed, mentioned that it would have been nice to know that and was told everyone knows bistro shuts at 830.. well not if it's your first time time here. Service 101; ask customer how meal is, ask if they'd like any more drinks, let them know the kitchen/bar is closing if they'd like to place any last orders.. none of which Brianna bothered to do and only seemed interested in running out of the place at 830. I wouldn't hire her to represent my venue and can't believe anyone else did.

Considering they're just open up after the locked down. The meals tasted okay. Not a full menu yet, was ordered from a gaming room menu. I guess we've got what we have paid for at that prices. Going back to try the full menu list after 3/11 when it's fully open.

Went for lunch with three other people, everyone got something different and loved their meals (the chips in particular were VERY popular!). good range of options, and food came out quickly! After lunch, my partner and I were taken through the back retreat area with Latisha where we discussed (and quickly booked) a function for later in the year. Latisha was incredibly informative, bubbly, and did not rush us as we walked around and discussed our options. All in all I cannot wait to come back for another meal, and for our event!!
