Rude and arrogant customer service.

Went in to look at an item I saw on the site, but also to generally browse. Was immediately approached by a staff member who proceeded to follow me around the store, asking me multiple times if I was looking for something, before I finally caved and told them what I wanted to look at. Their constant pushy attitude distracted me from checking the item properly (tbh it made me feel like something was wrong with it) and I was put off buying it as a result. I left quickly.

This place is awesome. They've got a large selection of things at pretty good prices. A lot of people complaining about how they only got 10 dollars for something they thought was worth more. That's an personal opinion on value and does not matter at all. But one of the employees there stands out. Trish, is an awesome employee. She's charismatic, she can have a laugh and she is not a b!tch. This is outstanding. Clone her and replace every other employees with her clones haha

Purchased pro audio equipment and was assured it was tested and working - once I got it home I immediately found the controls were defective. Returned it the next day and got attitude from a staff member who stalled on the refund and insisted it was functional even after I demonstrated the issue. No Cashies is good but this one is particularly bad.

John and Chi in Buys and Loans should be charged with theft. Everything anyone brings in is $5. I took a Nespresso machine in with the box and was offered $5. We have too many and can’t sell them. Took it to another cashies store and got $90. Please explain?

Absolute thieves went in to trade in a item with valve of 12k and they offer 1k when iv got paperwork and certificates of valuation worst customer service iv come across don’t take anything here you won’t get valve for your money look elsewhere

Staff have bad attitude there gold prices are through the roof double the price of a jewellery shop example they sell 9k gold for 65 per gram that's is actually the price for 18kgold don't believe me ring some jewellery stores go in have a look you will find out for yourself and there 18k golg price is 130 per gram 22 k gold is worth 96 per gram so work that one out I am amazed that people go and sell gold at cash converters and even more amazed people buy gold there and pay double even some times more for seacond hand jewellery 🤣🤣🤣

Sunshine cash converters has to be the worst store to get a loan from or to buy things from everything I've ever bought from them have always been faulty .

I think one star fits this store only one employee was helpful in trying to give me the amount I wanted for my item, the other employee snapped at me the minute I asked a question. Now the front on the store I would rate a zero no employee seemed interested in serving me one guy walked over and opened the glass I wanted showed me what I wanted but couldn’t answer any questions but didn’t even offer to get someone who might know more. Once the glass was closed he walked away when I wasn’t even done looking I have been to many cash converters but by far this is the worse one everyone other store has been helpful but not this store

Aweful experience. The lady whose name is Vesna was very rude and stubborn. When I returned the monitor with an issue and showed the video as an evidence. The other sales guys told me that's enough evidence and I can get my refund. But this lady came from nowhere and started asking the questions again and again. She did not even respected the the decision of her team members. She should be terminated by the store.

I will never ever step foot in this store again, I called if they have a particular item , the response was yea plenty , I drove half an hour to get there and I couldn’t see any on display , after I managed to get someone’s attention they told me they haven’t had any in stock for a while . Staff don’t care , attitude towards customers is a joke . Absolute joke .

Poor quality service and overpriced items

Several customers where refused service because we where 15 minutes early before closing time how does this work ? there excuse where because they hadn't had a break yet ? you can not do this to customers who come in 15 minutes before closing time absolutely disgusted and its not like we came in last minute. 15minites early we where terrible service.

Friendly stuff

I was in a real predicament. Just having some major personal issues in my life I acquired some $$ fast. Now I couldn't just go and pick it Off a tree, I could but that would be illegal! The man I saw was a caring,honest, beautiful soul..a true gem! We got chatting and realised we had some familiar circumstances. When he knew this he looked after me as an old friend and made sure I could reclaim my products back within the minimum tme but also getting the money I needed to take my cat to the vet. He knew the importance of the objecyi had to pawn and my responsibilities to my cat I hope when I go back I get him. so we can talk some more. He helped me with not just my money downfall but also some insightful idea id and opportunities to use in my circumstances ...thank you..you know who you are.. blue hair...

After calling up and checking they still had the item in store . I drove one hour to get to the store but when I was there They didn’t have the item I wanted and said it got sold 2 weeks ago. Poor management 👎

This Cashies is not a great-looking one, even by Cashies standards. The inside is dimly-lit and none of the labels are present. It feels like it hasn't been updated since 2003 or something. The prices, some are more ' reasonable' , others are very optimistic. The only reason it gets 2 stars is that the customer service was reasonable. They didn't want to give a warranty at all, I managed to wrangle a 24 hour one out of them. I got a 90 day warranty at Cashies Prahran without any questions asked. Overall, I wouldn't be back here in a hurry. I'd rather go to the CBD, Prahran or South Melbourne stores before this one.

Don't bother shopping here, they selling used items at retail prices. As if they make up the price to allow customers to negotiate. So if you HAVE to shop here, never pay the price you see.

Rebecca - Rebecca is Sunshine's webshop operator who is a total gun and responds to messages even when on annual leave, she sets the bar high for customer that I am almost certain that other stores will struggle to compete with, cough cough, I won't mention any names. The store has certainly become cleaner in the coming years and that's a fact of life if I am being honest with you! Now they have a good range of stock, but there prices are some what quite a bit higher than you'd except to pay for the item, but then take another cashies price and add $30 - $50.00 depending on the original price point, they are high priced but don't get my wrong they are always willing to work out a deal for you which works. Ahmed - Is excellent and friendly and has some great product knowledge. Junior - Is excellent and always willing to try and work out a deal for you. Kiat - Is awesome and friendly and willing to assist you when ever your in the store. I am not sure about their buys and loans as I have never dealt with them at this store. Over all it's one of the bigger stores and it does have a good range of products to be honest.

I went in with my ex husbands wedding ring silver chain and my wedding ring and due to his being a tungsten they will not purchase it even though it is a $250 ring. The offered me $4.00 for a chain that I paid $170 for and they offered me $8 for my wedding ring that cost me $550. So in total offered me $12 for $970 worth of jewellery. I bet they would have made a decent profit
