Horrible service! Very rude staff specially the old blond lady and the young one with eyelashes and pink hair. They treated us really bad. We will never come back again.

When we visit the Gold Coast we always go to this club usually for Music trivia on Saturday and would recommend it to anyone. Food is always great and good prices. Look forward to our next visit

Great little club with decent prices for food and drink however lost stars due to the state of the barefoot bowls surface. Understandably weather and bugs etc can affect the quality of the rink however $10pp to use this facility considering the quality is not worth it. Other than that great place to visit

The women at this bar were unbelievably rude and horrible with their customer service. How hard is it to smile and serve a customer with a hint of joy in their tone. The drinks they made were absolutely horrible so overall the service and drinks we received we’re disgusting. They seriously should reconsider their job choice if they want to work in customer service because they are rude, intolerable, and honestly just fake to their customers. When we came in for my friend’s birthday wanting a few drinks they gave us the most horrible looks and they made all of us so mad at their service. Do better mermaid bowls… BTW the time was 4:30 whoever the bartenders were. Please speak to them because they were just disgusting.

I play bowls there three days a week minimum and find the competition skilled and lively. The greens seem to be the best on the coast and allow me to win a lot of games because they run so true. Most of the competitors can swallow my sallow remarks about their skills with good humour and allow for healthy debate during the after game wait for prize giving. The change on Thursday mornings to Open Pairs has more than doubled the number of rinks filled with excellent male and female participants and improved prize money enormously. I hope they can afford to keep it up!! If you haven't already tried our club I would be pleased to see any new faces and will do my best to say hello and welcome you. Cheers, Kevin.

Nice little club. Unfortunately didn’t have a very good lunch there. It was so over priced for what it was. Took a friend for lunch but it was embarrassing. Barramundi and salad with chips $23 … fish was dry and very small , salad was a few spinach leaves one slice cumcber and one cherry tomato. Just not good sorry to say.

Stay at turtle beach resort, this is not even 5 minutes away. The food is great and the staff are so kind, with a shout out to Tasman. She is so kind

Great little club with freindly and courteous staff ..locals like a chat ..very freindly place ..not overly big but a great small venue that you can feel very comfertable and the food from the bistro was superb ..wish there were more than 5 stars to recommend this place ... Biggest attraction of all was everyone was talking to everyone ..not on their phones ..

Have started going down to the bowls club almost every week now! Yep that’s right - more than just once every 5-10 years, and I’m only 36!! Partially because it’s a fun activity on a weather permitting afternoon, but even moreso because the food, events, and staff are fantastic! We’ve become regulars for the trivia, the specials menu is always keeping us guessing and the Parma is one of the best on the coast! Prices are what you’d expect from a bowls club in 2024 and are even cheaper if you pay the 1$ or whatever it costs to become a member. Here’s a bit of footage of me and some people I met last Saturday night enjoying a dance during Saturday night music trivia. Why wouldn’t you want to be THIS happy?

We came to have a quiet meal. I looked at the menu, and as I have food allergies I often have difficulties. I must not have read properly what I had ordered, and the chicken came covered in crumbs. I can't eat bread crumbs. As I didn't want to cause a scene.....it was my own fault.....I asked for another plate, so I could cut the crumbs off of the chicken. Well, the chef would have none of that. He said would you like some pork belly instead. I replied that this was my own fault, I'll just cut the crumbs off. NO, he immediately cooked me up some pork belly, and brought it out to me. No charge! I'm totally amazed at this. He didn't have to do this. This is customer service at it's best. Will we be back? You can bet your bottom dollar we will.

Great club very friendly people lots of social bowls and a great bistro. It is our ‘local’ whilst we are on the Gold Coast and we feel very much at home

We had chicken schnitzels which where a good price taste above average. And had a parmy as well which was average. Really friendly and polite staff. Quick wait time really nice garlic bread with cheese.

Excellent day @ the Bowls Club..I was playing music & tunes there from 3.30pm to 6.30pm..the crowd playing bowl's was fantastic & really got into the vibe..The staff were great too & very helpful.. We recently held a family event in the function room, and it was just perfect for what we needed. The food was excellent, everything went smoothly, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful, and really looked after us. For us, it is a family memory that we will always treasure, so thank you Mermaid bowls club team! Would definitely recommend!

Lovely cheerful staff, meals well prepared and presented, slow cooked lamb a huge meal thoroughly enjoyed by hubby. They have to be suffering because of all the restrictions we were the only patrons.
