This place is great. We had our Christmas lunch here and the food was exquisite. It was so peaceful. The champagne, wine, gin espresso Martinis were tasty. Oh and the artwork is great. Nice chesterfields in the front section to relax with a gin on.

Freshly renovated with an “elevated” menu. Elevated prices more like it - $110 steak! Smoked Bok Choi for $14! Beware of any reviews pre-August 2024, as these refer to the old Benjamin on Franklin, which is long gone - along with the value menu and daily specials. Apparently from September there will be sandwiches. I can’t wait for what will no doubt be a $50 curried egg and iceberg lettuce on white sandwich bread special…

Nice clean pub staff worked their socks off to keep the guests happy

Great pub located in the west end of the city. Plenty of free street parking outside. Good value happy hour specials make this a great place for after work drinks! The staff are always very friendly.

Just had dinner. Nicely renovated, feels somewhat old school but with character and good ambience. Friendly and helpful staff. Had a great meal, prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Great steak

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I booked the Boston Room upstairs for my sons 21st and Aysha was incredible in organising this for us. On the night Matt handled the bar and all our guests with professionalism, humour and fantastic service. Jack was also fantastic with helping setup and make the night memorable. The food was devoured and the waitresses were amazing. This is one of Adelaide's best kept secrets!!

Mum and I had the Ricotta and Beetroot gnocchi but there was no taste of beetroot. The serving was small, more that of an entree and the overall taste was oily. No crisp beetroot tuille either. Very underwhelming. A shame because the last time we went there the food was better but we did not enjoy this time.

Unfortunately doesn’t meet the mark. Meals took nearly an hour to come even though we were some of the first to order. Garlic bread was burnt and black. I mentioned this when it arrived and waiter said nothing. Lemon grilled barramundi had no lemon or seasoning. Most of the people on our table were not happy with their meals. Caesar salad had iceberg lettuce and 1 chicken tender. Menu was not good. Wouldn’t go back.

This place is a gem! Love the layout, beautiful! We had a large booking at Xmas time. Food and service was excellent and way above average, with a great variety to choose from. The staff are so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our night great!! Highly recommend Thanks Benji!!

Great night out, staff were excellent they accommodated our needs the whole night, our friends 50th Havana night, great place to celebrate a birthday. Was very happy with the service. A triumph, to be sure and next door. Service was given with a smile, so I stayed a while. Had a chicken shnit and it, was pretty big. Only problem was no Coopers on tap. But they had Furby and I can live with that.

Frendly Staff and great food. We had a group of 15 for dinner. Kyla & Hugo Boss provided us with fantastic service. They are a credit to their manager. Well done to all.

Limited vegetarian options. The hallumin dish was small. The omnivores are very happy about their stake I hear. Thurs night was not busy.

Booked for Xmas dinner as a group. Was hurried up to order. Was told we couldn't order cocktails as staff did not want to have to stay late. Started tidying and cleaning up around us. Did not feel welcomed at all.

Good place to stop for a drink

Absolutely disgraceful. A reunion was organised at this hotel, some of the people didn't show up. The organiser of the event was told that he had to pay for their meals even though they didn't attend, then he was told he couldn't have the meals to take home as they would go bad. Pretty poor treatment from the staff. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

We sat in one of the cosy rooms and had wonderful pub meals! The service was efficient and friendly, the food fresh and well presented, taste was as expected. The pub itself is fresh, clean, with rooms decorated to make your event perfect. Bathrooms are clean, parking is avaliable, book ahead!

The best pub in Adelaide 🍻

Love the name of this pub. Good play on words. The service was outstanding at this pub. Very helpful and social with all customers we noticed and being visitors from Sydney we were made to feel special. Outdoor and indoor seating options and we decided to sit out in the beer garden where the NRL was playing on a widescreen TV - very happy about that. Ordered a share plate of food for dinner which was more than enough. Good offering of food and drinks at this location

Average pub. I was there at 6.00 pm and it was pretty quiet

Never been here but I'll give it five stars

Simple pub food done well and very reasonably priced. There were 20 of us eating and everyone’s meal was well presented and well cooked. Thank you also to the staff who let me bring a birthday cake for my daughter and then went above and beyond adding the strawberries and candles and presenting it so well despite being busy. Your kindness was noted and appreciated.

These are the sort of establishments we should keep grand hotel with plenty of old charm.
