Great food and service

Thanks Megan, for the very warm welcome. We all had (3) a share board which was delicious rounded off with a lamb roast (3) of course - what else to eat on Australia Day Prices were extremely good and meals were very generous. We’ll be back

The worse Chicken Sniztel I ever had It was served with Rotten Salad

It has been my local close to work for over 3 years and seemed out of character given its location. NOW new owners completely different story. They know what they are doing with friendly staff and great meals. Cant go past Steak Day Thursday and now the Sunday roast day specials. With the quality of cuts and cooking this place will get busier. Dont forget the drive through bottle'o with a great priced selection of wines as well. As a side note, not really first date fancy but a great pub with honest meals, front bar and outdoor area for family and the friends anytime. Check it out - it will be your top choice for a quick feed anytime.

Haven't been here for quite awhile as the staff and food really went downhill. However noticed it was under new management so dropped in for lunch. The place has been tidied up and looks fresh and inviting. Biggest notice was the staff and how friendly and helpful they were (good to see the staff has been changed from a couple of years ago). The food excellent. If you want a good old fashioned steak sandwich you have to come here. Also the burger was perfectly cooked with the addition of hot crispy chips that were perfectly salted. So glad it's under new management as we used to enjoy coming here, so definitely back on our list of places to go.

service abysmal. Freezing inside and the staff refused to close the door man at next table asked why and staff just kept saying it was a fire escape. ( when did fire escapes have to be open ?). Instead of explaining the reason, pointing to a sign and apologising maybe offering knee rug or putting the ineffective heaters on the staff decided to argue the point. I want to eat at a place where you are welcomed by staff who value your custom and comfort.

It is 10 degrees outside and the staff persist with saying the door must be left open. This makes the place very cold and uncomfortable.

Very disappointed with the service not enough staff. Would like to see how they would handle it if they were busy. Coffee was the worse coffee I have had. Won’t be rushing back

Myself and some mates all had rump steak, overcooked and dry, most asked for med-rare. Dissatisfied totally.

Went for dinner this week and worst meal I have had in a while. Barramundi piece was so so small and the mash potatoe was dry and gluggy dried out ,chewy, should of returned it and got chips won't be coming back ...

Food was good but no gluten free options at all unless you count salad and meat as lazy gluten free. No GF pasta (would be so easy) No GF pizza (again so easy) No GF fish (so easy) pretty disappointing in that department.

Went for lunch today.the front bar staff lady with purple hair and glasses yelled at an elderly man having issues with keno in front of the whole pub. She kept saying dont abuse me when she was the one yelling at him for everyone to hear!!!. She made a scene not him. Absolutely disgusting behaviour treating an elderly person like that. Let alone a customer. Ruined our lunch and we left without finishing it.

The Britannia falls short in crucial aspects. Service lacks warmth and friendliness, while food presentation and taste consistently disappoints for the cost. On our last visit, an unanticipated hour-long wait, without warning or apology, left us dissatisfied. I will not make the mistake of going there again.

Sadly, this place jacks up prices when the Adelaide 500 are on..

Atrocious steak meal pretending to be Wagyu, was 3mm thick,tough as old boot leather. Supposedly cooked medium but was done to death.

First time visiting this hotel. Loved it from the moment we arrived. We had a table for 4, we ordered our meals and they were at the table quickly. The food was really delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals. I found the prices to be very reasonable and there were week day specials too. Will definitely visit here again to try some other meals. There was easy parking to the side of the drive thru bottle shop. The staff were really friendly and efficient.

It was a good day I didn't see the manager or owner of the place as he had got the personality of a house brick sorry I make a correction there I think as house bricks has got more personality than the the middle aged guy with the attitude problem that runs it or owes it I don't know.

I had a fantastic meal over here on Monday with my mates. I was served by Gabriel who helped us out and was very nice. The chicken schnitzel with the Kirkpatrick topping was spectacular! Service was very good and Gabriel really made us feel welcome.

Went for Mother's Day lunch and enjoyed the food and service we received.

Food was ok, limited vegetarian options. But we had fun. Played poker with no luck. Different areas for sitting and chilling out with our team.

Had a quick lunch here had 30 minutes to spare. Not busy on a Mon but was served quickly but not particularly friendly . Had a great glass of wine and tasty aranci balls and was out in time.2nd visit. Too early for lunch but had a great glass of wine service with a smile.

After searching for the perfect place for my fiancé and I to hold our engagement party we finally found the Britannia Hotel. I can not speak highly enough of them, the functions manager was extremely patience and accomodating to me. One of my guests has a few allergies and they organise - free of charge! - a seperate platter of food that he was able to eat, cooked separately from all other foods especially just for him! They were accommodating and allowed me to bring in my own deserts. They moved all the furniture to exactly how I wanted it, allowed me to decorate the venue to execute my vision (although the new renovations were beautiful enough) and worked with my fiancé to get the photos of us up and running on the big screen! The food was absolutely phenomenal with all of my guests making wonderful comments about it. It was very VERY affordable compared to other places and so much food was included. The functions manager created our own personalised subsidised drinks menu for our guests and the bar staff were so friendly and fun throughout the night. The team at Britannia made me feel very confident in their abilities to provide everything needed which was one less thing I had to worry about on my big night. Another one of my guests lost her earring throughout the night, we made it aware to the staff and manager and they continued to keep their eye out for it days after the event and were able to find it for us. The staff go above and beyond to ensure guests are happy. Once again I can’t recommended the team at Britannia enough and my fiancé and I will DEFINITELY return. A HUGE Thankyou to the staff and functions manager at the Britannia for a wonderful night, and a night my fiancé and I will certainly not forget.

The food was a bit pricey and not all that good, half of our table was happy and the other half wasn't. The staff seemed lovely though.

I hope you read reviews?! Your food is ok, but not great. Prices are very reasonable and service is outstanding. Bar staff are courteous and welcoming. However the schnitzel is a little dry and the mushroom gravy is small and has like 4 slices of mushroom. With a few changes it could be amazing. The salad dressing is top notch. I wish you all the best. Local resident.

the pub has gone downhill ever since the changeover of management. had a function there, first of all no function manager to speak to. no one ever asked when we wanted the food to come out until 5 minutes until the anticipated time!!!! i would not waste your time - the staff especially the venue manager have no idea what there doing!!!!!! got $100+ worth of food refunded and there were not enough staff working that night to serve us drinks well maybe they was but there were sitting down in the back room doing nothing!!! won’t be coming back

Great Meal as usual at the Brit : I have had the pleasure to dine at this pub on a number of times and the meals have always been good in quality and quantity the new venue manager is a lovely man to deal with .

We went out for dinner tonight and it was amazing. we had beef snitty killpatric, beef snitty Hawaiian and my toddler had pasta Neapolitan. The size of the meals were just right and didn't leave feeling hungry at all. A huge shout out to Andrew who made us feel so welcome as a family. Thankyou. Highly recommended this business to anyone visiting and need a great quality family meal

The best steaks I have had in a long time

Great staff. Attended a family function in the outdoor area. Food good. Evening went seamlessly well

Function team was really disappointing for my daughters 21st. No communication, lazy service, terrible manner. Appetiser platters arriving after mains. Booked them 2 weeks beforehand so no excuse to not get them out in time. Very embarrassing for us as hosts and no apology. $200 spent on room hire to have to carry bottles of wine, bottles of water and glasses to the function area ourselves while the staff stood around chatting to each other. Older staff member from the restaurant was lovely, room was nice and the food was also very tasty. I hope that the function staff get their act together and polish some customer skills as we wouldn’t recommend a function there to anyone. Im sure a normal meal there would be lovely, just disappointed in the function team.

Extremely DISAPPOINTING!! We are Perth residents who come to Adelaide each year for the Adelaide 500 and for 23 years we have booked ahead and enjoyed lunch at The Britannia. Until 2022. Our 11am and 1130am bookings were accepted and written in the hotel diary but when we arrived we were advised lunch doesn't start until 12noon. The following days we were refused lunch service by the manager. During the week following, Damien the Chef called to offer a full and unconditional apology and expressed empathy in regard to the poor service we received. Food is consistently good at this venue and we hope the issues that arose this year will be ironed out by the time we return in 2023.
