Great beer garden, excellent food and friendly service. A definite winner !!

Great Hotel, one of my favourites. Food always very good also Senior meals good selection and value. Very comfortable and more quiet than alot of places noise wise. .

Great vindaloo and salt and pepper calamari (although a small rice serve). Really accommodating staff - I think we varied all our meals and they were more than happy to do so.

Established in 1878 has been successfully modernised. Contemporary colours and furniture are agreeable. The gaming room was situated across from where we are sitting with a partial divider. It wasn’t too noisy also staff are friendly and the parking is surprisingly good. We did wait too long for our meals. Extremely happy with the beef burger though chips were great too. The falafel burger was not good however strong also the iced chocolate shake is good plus a stone baked ciabatta dinner roll also the sweet potato fries are brilliant. The men’s restroom as I entered can definitely sense the smell of urine. Waited over 2000 seconds for our meals to be served to our table due to a function or event occurring as I have noticed waiters transferring sausage rolls, pies and pizza towards the beer garden

Busy place , good atmosphere

I made a brief visit to the establishment to find respite from the summer heat. The staff were friendly and provided exceptional service; the venue was bustling, with numerous reservations, demonstrating its popularity with the local clientele. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music; I would rate it 10/10.

Casual lunch with friends. I had chicken schnitzel which was ok.

Went to the Broady for burger night last night. Ordered two burgers from a male staff member who couldn’t manage a smile or a hello, just a look of general disinterest. Order some drink from the female staff member who was delightful. We had waited 45 minutes and no food had arrived so I went to check at the bar with an older male staff member. I explained we had been waiting 45 minutes and could he please check with the kitchen on our order. He said it’s always like this on Thursday for some reason and said he would check. He then went back to chatting with the other male staff member and as far as I could see he didn’t even bother to facilitate my request nor did he apologise for the delay or bother to follow up with me. After another 10 minutes I went back to the bar and spoke to a young female staff member who apologised for the delay and immediately went to the kitchen. She returned shortly after and again apologised for the delay and a few minutes later our food arrived. I’m a local and frequent the pub regularly. I feel sorry for the owner as the male staff working last night gave me the impression that their customers are an inconvenience!

Been a regular customer for a few years now for dinner as live locally. Over an hour wait for a burger and 6 people before me complained about their wait! Response was Thursdays are always like this?? Maybe review what happens on a Thursday!

Over cooked food, small desserts, waiters didn’t know who ordered what. Not recommended.

Love our local, always a buzzing place with a great menu and good atmosphere! Would love to see some local talent play or perform here on the weekends, would be good to see in the summer months. Good tap beers, gaming room, front patio and beer garden all great!

chicken parmi wasnt big enough, barely any chips. quite disappointing

We eat in the beer garden on a Thursday about every 3-4 weeks the beer is always good but the meals are average but yesterday 12/12 they hit a new low ,my curry was look warm in temperature at best my mates steak sandwich was nearly inedible , steak was cold and very tough, we informed the gentleman who picked up our plates and he showed no interest at all. It’s a shame the beer garden is a nice place but unfortunately that will be our last time. Better food and an improved attitude of some of the staff would certainly make the experience better as I have supported this hotel over the years . Regards Graham

Food ok could be better, staff attentive, good atmosphere

Just drop in for lunch . The restaurant was pleasant, and the service was great . Meals came out in a tidy manner , and the food was great . Only just got a table without booking , so it pays to ring before going . Very popular place .

Ordered salmon which was way too salty. When we mentioned this, we were told it's meant to be a bit salty, but this was excessive. Neither my partner nor I could eat the salad. Even after they replaced the salad, it was still too salty to eat.

This is our local Hotel & enjoy the beer garden often. We were a table of 10 for melbourne cup lunch last tuesday. Our main courses were excellent but the timing of receiving them was very poor. We received the food at 215pm just before the cup & they came out spasmodically that one of the ladies had fish & came out last & in the end ate by herself. Sweets was very dry & not enjoyable. I have phoned the hotel but no-one has taken the time to return my call. It was disappointing as far as the food service was concerned but we did not allow this to spoil our day. Sadly we will pick somewhere else for next years cup. Thank you

Lunch at the Broadway should have been a nice event, the weather was good and we sat outside. The service was terrible. Disinterested staff, a long wait for food. No one to be seen when I waited at the empty bar for service. ( to order dessert) We are locals, it’s a shame, we don’t feel we want to return. Sad

Staff were friendly, food was average. Wagu beef schnitzel was no where near what it should have been for the price. The share platter was ok, chicken and squid were ok... The rest was terrible...

Waited over an hour for our meals Friday night. The waitress with glasses certainly looked as though it was an inconvenience that she was at work. Everything that we asked was just too much trouble and was very obvious. Meals were average to ok. Nothing exceptional for the money and the wait.

Went foe a retirement meal. Small group of 9. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My meal/salad arrived without the chicken but arrived before the rest of the meals came.

Had Dinner again sat night We all noticed the food … now average Now you can’t even use your discount card on the weekends . Guess you don’t want 8 loyal customer's anymore.. hey plenty of other pubs in the area .. guess we walk just a little further .

Went for a friend's party tonight. Whole load of us ordered meals, one meal didn't come out. Staff asked if all meals had come out, advised that one wasn't, they asked what was missing. Explained a schnitzel meal was missing, they brought out receipts and said there wasn't one ordered. Person showed they had paid for the meal, staff member walked away, and then another staff member came out and challenged the query and told the person they had to prove they had paid! Explained it had already been shown but staff member wanted to see it for herself. No apology offered or anything, asked for meal to be cancelled and give money back. The lady had to go up to the bar and physically ask for her money back before it got reimbursed. When table was being cleared of everyone else's meals, they brought out the missing schnitzel. Given the size of the party, I was disgusted at the response and treatment directed at this lady over a schnitzel dinner. Will be a long time before I go back there again.

It is a pleasant atmosphere for a hotel. Meals are reasonably priced. Good location with plenty of parking available. Wait times for meals and dessert were quite lengthy. The salad was a bit disappointing with just being served lettuce, a couple of thin strips of carrot & couple of slices of cucumber. The churros were very nice! Update: returned to try something else. I found the salad serving small, considering the meal cost $27 and the burger price at $25 is a bit steep.

Went there for lunch on the Kings Birthday Public holiday. The tall blonde flat chested bimbo taking food and drink orders had zero brain cells, It was like my partner and I were invisible. The food was less than satisfactory and the bimbo didn't know how to make a lemon lime and bitters. Would not recommend this Hotel

Another good fish n chips feed in front bar. Always a reliable experience. But bring back your great salad bar.

Steak Sandwich really good

Staying nearby, wife not well. Called hotel and they did take away meals. Got roast of the day Pork and veggies. Beautiful feed. Would recommend.

Really nice place. Friendly efficient staff and a good variety of pub meals. I enjoyed a tastey Thai salad, others in my party enjoyed, steak,fish and curried sausages.

Wonderful food with great prices. The beer garden has been done up beautifully. The staff are great, it helps with them being over 20! Thank you for having older staff, it really helps.

Food seemed to be slightly modified regular pub stuff

Don't get me wrong but went in with my two kids, got served straight away but the attitude of one staff member and the look she was given me was like she didn't want to serve me or even want me there this made me feel uncomfortable from the beginning to the end. Food was fantastic tho. Staff wearing inappropriate length shorts to the point some of the girls bums were seen when the pick stuff up from the floor and just walking around. This isn't a strip joint. Not very professional at all. When asked for a high chair she was very hesitate to provide this with a sigh. Won't be returning.
