The food was great. The service was ok but we didn't exactly get special attention given the fact they weren't very busy. The low point however was having the eftpos machine pointed at me with the 'leave a tip' option waiting for me. Frankly although the food was great, it was pretty expensive already and I don't think it warranted a tip. Being forced to decline paying a tip is a bad customer experience. Hence my rating. I hope they stop asking.

Fish was so over cooked unfortunately. Lemon sole - has to be so gentle - unfortunately was like rubber

Our group celebrated New Years Eve 2024...... The evening was truly wonderful. The food was fresh SA produce, exquisite and beautifully presented, which is a testament to the skill and dedication of your chefs! I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the bar tenders and waiting staff who attended to us so graciously and efficiently throughout the evening, considering it was quite busy and some of our guests were not impressed with some menu item not being available from the Ala Carte choices. These items however, were highly likely to be challenging for the night as we were warned by the manager that usually they have a shared Feed me menu for the festive season but allowed us to have the option of Ala Carte, which we were grateful for! Thankyou for a wonderful experience and a great night.

Came by for for the Butchers cut + wine $49pp, very impressed by the steak. Ordered their current signature cocktail which was underwhelming. However their Lemon cheesecake was exceptional. Somewhat lengthy wait on meal considering we were the only people there at the time. Definitely worth a visit though.

We arrived for a 9pm sitting on new years eve and selected the feed me option for $85 each. Service was great and the food was pretty good too. Cocktails were well made. However, it would of been courteous to let us know there was a huge surcharge up front and at time of booking instead of hitting us with it at the till at the end of the meal. Allowing us to believe we had a $250 min spend, making us buy additional cocktails believing we were below budget, then producing the surcharge at the end is a little dishonest

Had an anniversary dinner here. Chose the feed me option. Crayfish linguine was exceptional, steak was perfect, maitre d and waiting staff were attentive and interacted nicely. All this with the place humming.

5⭐️!! Chose Chiton Restaurant for the view. We've been for coffee, tapas before and enjoyed seeing the Cockle Train, planes, surfers, etc, so knew we'd love that for our NYE lunch out. However, I did not expect someone as lovely as Vicki as host and could only have wished for such an impressive lunch. Thanks to the team here for your hospitality today. Just wonderful.

Been there 3 times, 2 was under Sean’s kitchen, first time under trade name of The Kitchen. Food was great! Customers service was bad. Table service staff did not engage with customers, put the dishes down and walk away without a word. Staff didn’t ask anything about the dining experience when wait for the bill at counter, only words from the person was how much we need to pay. Spoke to manager about that and that particular individual kept shaking his head and didn’t apologise. Will not go back for the service!

Staff were so kind and funny. I got the burger and I’ve never tasted something more delicious in my life.

Haven’t been to The Kitchen since it was ‘Seans’. Very pleased to say it was every bit as good as I remember, friendly attentive staff, excellent food & great wine. The only very small criticism I have is the chips were pretty standard. Do yourself a favour & order the grilled Octopus OMG it was stand out amazing! 7/11/24 Well unfortunately the meal we had tonight was nothing short of terrible, from the starters to the steaks (which we never paid for), very, very salty, the steak was inedible, dry, overly salty & a very bitter char. We had the octopus for starter, it was very soft, almost mushy in parts & super salty, not at all what we are used to from this restaurant. Even the toasted bread that came with the parfait was very salty. The service staff were amazing as always & very apologetic, unfortunately the same cannot be said of the manager who was almost as dry as the steak & very begrudgingly deleted the steaks from the bill.

Would not recommend. Yes the steak was good but small and expensive. Best part of it all… on the way out they tried charging us 48$ for 4 glasses of table water! Since when do you pay for water? Especially one that was offered for free. Bunch of scammers

We arrived earier, part from showing to the table. We didnt get offered table water. The meals took longer than expected. Didn't confirm with us what we ordered. So, missed 3 orders!!!! Table services were poor, even when we try to pay with 2 very confused bills.

First of all, thumbs up to Aneshka who is very acommodating and friendly It was my daughter and son inlaw's birthday. Our food taste amazing specially the steaks.. i will highly recomend it. The atmosphere is nice. Fancy but affordable. We will definitely come back.

I took my Sister here for a 60th birthday treat. We were spoilt with amazing food and gorgeous service. I highly recommend The Kitchen to all my friends including my Chef mates. Don’t miss the Lobster Linguini with smoked butter!

Dine in group of 6, Seafood platter has replace from menu, they didn't tell us some are unavailable.and lamb shoulder just average taste abit plain i should ask for extra sauce on side to make it better., salmon plate mac n cheese are ok.

Very disappointed. One of our friends ordered the seafood platter and was told it would easily feed 2 people. He was served a plate that barely fed him with replacements for almost half of the seafood that was described on the menu. We were not told that some of the seafood was unavailable at the time and that it would be replaced with something else. He then needed to order more food as he was still hungry which took another 30min. The waiter was very nice and apologised for the inconvenience for the small meal and the unexpected replaced ingredients after we asked her about it. She then told her manager and he did nothing about the issue - did not acknowledge us, didn’t apologise, nothing. We paid hundreds of dollars for our meal and were so disappointed. Would not return here.

Had a very nice meal at the restaurant, but in particular our waiter who was a young gentleman, was very professional and polite, and made the entire experience very enjoyable.

We recently dined at 'The Kitchen' with a group of five, and it was an exceptional experience. The service, led by 'Malcolm', was outstanding—attentive, friendly, with a slight touch of humour...and truly enhanced our evening. The food was superior, with perfectly cooked steaks that were among the best we’ve had, complemented by delicious and well-thought-out side dishes. The quality and presentation were top-notch, making this one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in Adelaide. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for excellent food and impeccable service!

Our server is good and accomodating. Unfortunately the quality of food isn’t as pleasant as before. The Scallops are overcooked and portion of crabs are shocking.

The service was good, everyone around were pleasant. Can't say the same for the food though. We had the tartare, dry-aged burger, and linguine. The tartare was alright, but the other two were unexceptional for the price point.

The service was very, very bad, probably because we are Asian, and a couple of the individuals were not very happy with the way we ordered, which resulted in very bad service.

We've been coming here for 12 years (since it opened) and just dined for the 2nd time since it became The (sans-Sean) Kitchen... We were underwhelmed and disappointed. The raw platter was tasteless and the oysters gritty, steak cooks were incorrect and the side arrived as we had our last mouthful... Great wine (Ashton Hills) and the service was good, but it's no longer worth the cost. Unfortunately, we won't return. 😭😮‍💨☹️

What a burger!!

Food and service has gone downhill since the restaurant changed hands. Flavours not balanced and the service was fragmented and distracted. Overall it was overpriced. The space is still lovely and a nice restaurant for a conversation.

A beautiful experience starting from yummy food to the best service , bless the little Asian lady for her beautiful hospitality. Food was bang on and really worth it. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the dessert and the price and the slight time but I assure you it’s completely worth it . Super pleased

Stunning restaurant with staff who certainly know their stuff! Service was impeccable - our dinner just perfect. Love that the manager is constantly walking around, making sure everything is ok, that his guests are happy. Overall a five star experience

Service was good. The Lamb shoulder was well cooked but we preferred the flavours of it that we had on previous occasions when it was Sean's Kitchen. If you are planning to take a BYO wine, make sure you check on the cost of corkage as it varies depending on quality and age of the bottle.

We drove 2 hours for the truffle dinner for a bday treat. I checked on-line that it was open on a Sunday and it was!! We got here and it was closed. What the hell to do in the cold on a special dinner night🤷‍♀️ Really? 🥺

Had an great dining experience at @thekitchenadl ! 🥩 The steak was absolutely perfect, the pork cutlet cooked just right, and those oysters? Super fresh! 🦪 The crab leg wasn’t as great, but the desserts totally made up for it - both the sticky date and chocolate tart were divine! 🍫🍮 Fair prices and excellent service made it a night to remember. Highly recommend! 👌

Great food options! I loved salmon

Very very average food, honestly gotten better food at a pub. Paid top dollar for a wagyu scotch fillet the was under cooked and very chewy… definitely didn’t get the cut of meat I was promised. The sides were good, average service, I had to remind them about a gin and tonic I ordered 20 minutes prior. I’m all for spending money when I go out for a nice dinner but I honestly feel like I have been robbed tonight. Need to get Sean back in the kitchen.

Great atmosphere and excellent service.

Amazing , they were happy to accommodate a last minute booking . We had the share plate of lamb and sides and all the food was delicious and cooked amazing. Cocktails were delicious 😋. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Food was absolutely insane, the service was amazing too. We had guests with us from New Zealand and the comment from them was that for the quality of the food, they were really pleasantly surprised with the pricing!!

This establishment has altered my perception of the culinary environment. Previously, I held the belief that kitchens were characterized by chaos, haste, and verbal altercations. However, this establishment has demonstrated that kitchens can be harmonious and conducive to productivity. I had the pleasure of savoring a delectable hamburger, and I was able to observe the meticulous preparation process, which was executed with utmost care and precision.

Good restaurant with good atmosphere. Good service and good staff. I will definitely go back to The Kitchen the food is divine.

10/10 experience at The Kitchen! Food was devine - steaks cooked to perfection and the Mac n cheese + broccolini were the perfect sides! But the best part of our night was definitely the service by all staff - particularly Malcolm who put lots of care and effort to ensure we had a good night. Will be back again ASAP!

meals were great and the service was amazing, what i found misleading is that you have to pay for water. i’ve never been to any other restaurants that you have to pay for water or even bread. in retrospect that is completely unnecessary and not okay. i would hope when spending over 100 dollars on food, that would get complimentary bread and water. other than that, amazing service and good quality food. but seriously you should not charge for water or bread, it’s daylight robbery.

We had a really nice dinner before a show at Dunstan playhouse (1 minute walk away). The food was really good, the octopus was the stand out, soft and full of flavour and the char from the grill was perfect. We both got steaks and they were cooked spot-on, even the flank! Mac and cheese and green beans as sides, both good serving sizes and very tasty. Overall great night, not the best steakhouse we've been to but definitely top 3 for Adelaide and would be happy to go back.

The kitchen is a restaurant located inside Sky city casino The environment here is pretty good But it will be more lively at night If you need to talk about work, you may need to avoid the meal period meal part, Highly recommend the steak! The control of doneness and heat is very good The service here is also very cordial and friendly. Because it is a restaurant inside the casino, If you have a Sky City membership card You can have membership benefits here This is also a very suitable restaurant to arrange a meal when traveling to Adelaide with friends. Because after the meal you can go to the casino for a little fun They are nice restaurants👍👍

Not worth the money! Had the worst customer service experience and the steak was horrible. The server who was an old man was disgustlingly rude to us. He wasn't helpful and couldn't care less about serving properly. Ordered the flank steak and asked for medium well and came back rare!!! When we complained about the steak, they cooked it again which tasted even worst! The outside was burnt and it wasnt edible! Ended up getting a refund and was not compensated for the inconvenience. Wouldn't spend a penny here again. Had better customer experience and food from a cafe than this. Extremely disappointed.

Great for a quiet lunch of top quality standard

Had my birthday dinner with my friends, at the Kitchen in Skycity. The staff were really amazing, gave us some great recommendations, as it was our first time. The food was delicious, would definitely recommend and come again

Amazing food, great atmosphere, lovely staff and well priced. So glad we found this amazing restaurant. The steak was cooked to perfection! The waitress recommended a delicious wine and the overall experience left us wanting to come back.

To all the people leaving low reviews. You’re a bunch of sooks. I ate there on a Thursday was quite busy but I was still very well looked after. I had the oysters, caviar, beef tartare, the ribeye and the choc tart for dessert because why not. Everything was amazing especially the steak and dessert. Definitely my go to place when I stay at EOS.

Awesome food and great service

Very disappointed in the quality of meat compared to when it was Shaun's Kitchen. We had the study of beef wich we couldn't fault last time however this time it was a major let down. The striplion was tough and chewy, scotch fillet which I know is a cut that has fat in it was ridiculously fatty and the flank steak that had been cut with the grain of the meat was that dry and tough you couldn't even cut through the crust, it needed to be peeled off before you could eat it. Also if you have sides like beans you should mention that you have changed them from a hot side to a cold salad. When the waitress took our order she went through what steaks and sizes ths were on the study of beef and said that it was over 1kg of meat when in fact it was only 850g. To top it off if we had bought the 3 steaks separately it would have been cheaper.

Came here for a birthday last night and was shocked with how rude our server was! he was incredibly rude to all of us. he might’ve thought the things he said was funny but it was just rude and ignorant. Oh and the fact that we were all shocked when our bill came for $40 on water…(since they charge $8 a head 😀) One we charged for 4 sparkling bottles and one still when only one of our party members had a single glass of sparkling and one glass of still and the rest of us 2 glasses of still so we were so confused on how we were charged for 4 sparkling bottles and 1 still To the wait staff you really need to warn customers that you are charging $8 a head for water because let me tell you $40 for water was absolutely ridiculous Food was great though and enjoyed the atmosphere

Disappointed and won't be back again. Could have much nicer food and service at a fine dining restaurant for a similar price. Steak is good quality, but that's all you get, sauce/ chips/ veg... everything costs extra with a fancy price. Wine Menu price is misleading. Serving wrong food when it's not even busy.

Visiting for business down from Sydney staying at EOS so for a quick tasty dinner couldn’t fault the service and menu. Great spot for a burger. Everything was great 👍🏽

The atmosphere was nice upstairs. Service was slightly slow, but everyone was very friendly. Food wise, average quality seafood with the sashimi on the cold plate. Could taste some meat flavour contamination perhaps cutting from a board not properly cleaned. Pork rib was slightly salty, although being a cured cut, sauce should have been lighter to accommodate the innate salinity. Steaks were cooked well wasn't outstanding. Flavour wise, the cod was the star among the few dishes with complex flavours of olive, capsicum. It was well seasoned. Cocktails were average. If you are looking for better food, Luma across the road provides much better food for the price. (In honest opinion, not receiving any incentives)

Really disappointing experience. Attended a few years ago and food was incredible, however a few points that led to being let down on this occasion - Steak was rather flavourless - Beans in the Basque Poussin were undercooked and gritty - chocolate cake was dry and crumbly - $16 charge for still water The only redeeming parts of our meal were the cocktails and the Mac & Cheese Given that both mains were disappointing, the price point was completely unjustifiable. Coal Cellar and Grill have much better quality at lower prices. The music was also quite loud making it difficult to hold a conversation and the overall experience was middling at best. Unfortunately will not be returning

The attic room we had our group dinner in was beautiful, even better than I expected. The staff were fantastic. They were patient, attentive, fun.. I could not fault them and I really appreciated their attitude towards all of us, they made the night even better.

We came here for the opening night of Valentine’s Day. We had to send the steak back as we weren’t able to eat it since it was rubbery. They were happy to replace it after we let them know and then provided a nice steak not long after. The desserts tasted frozen and were dry and chewy. Lastly we were over charged for our bill, we tried to explain to the waiter but he immediately became defensive and told us we were incorrect with our calculations. Would not come again.
