We came to this club a month ago for a reunion with my husbands work colleagues. We were in a room that was booked for the occasion. Food was served as a 2 course meal. Tea and coffee. The room was big enough for over a hundred people and be comfortable. Parking was underneath and plenty of parking. Lifts to the main desk for wheel chairs as well. Tje lovely man at the counter was great and super friendly. I thought the food looked lovely on the plate although it didn't taste that nice about a 6 out of 10 for food. We ventured over to the dessert side of the club to get 🍨 desserts as they didn't have desserts on the menu at the reunion. The desserts they didn't have a good selection of few of the desserts looked a week old. We end up only choosing 2 desserts to have. I didn't take photos as the food wasn't worth a photo.

Went for dinner at the brasserie. The food was satisfactory but the Penne chicken was disappointing. The penne was undercooked, not al dente and the sauce was far from creamy. The sweet potato chips was good though. We then went to a show by the Mandarin Band at the Entertainment Dome. It was good and free for more than 2 hours of songs. There was a live band of 4 musicians and three soloist, 2 women and 1 man. What more can you ask for.

Been a member for 45 plus years and never have i experienced such rudeness in all the time I’ve visited and supported my club. This morning the receptionist at the counter was so rude she needs a management retraining. She kick me out cause I park in the club carpark as a fully paid up 5 years member. If I was a white Aussie I am sure she wouldn’t have treated me this way. Shame shame shameful please tell everyone thankyou.

Located at 96 Shaftesbury Road, Burwood, Mew South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is a really nice club. The food was really delicious and very reasonably priced. The club as a whole was beautifully designed, very pleasing to the eye and relaxing, especially the little Chinese Garden which I absolutely loved. The amenities ie toilets were good and disability accessible which was good for us as we had a couple of people in wheelchairs. You have a choice of the main brasserie to have a meal, then you have the cafe for cakes, coffee etc and of course you have the bar. You of course have the typical club activities such as the pokies, bingo etc. The staff were very friendly and professional. Overall I had a great visit to this club and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍👍

We went here for the 1st time on Christmas Day 2024, after booking a table 2 weeks prior. On entry, we had to provide photo I.D's and sign in. The staff were helpful & friendly. The 5 of us ordered the Seafood plate, Mediterranean share plate, Pork ribs, and the Smoked ham plate. Everyone enjoyed their meal; the only negative being that the salad that came with the Mediterranean share plate looked stale..the lettuce had brown edges. The bill for the food came to $123.00, plus $8 for a jug of lemon & lime bitters. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I would recommend it to friends.

My parents, and my friends all enjoyed the Christmas festive music and the dancing. We were extremely let down by an asian yellow hair server in the gaming area. She was extremely rude. What Dink?" was all she said. I noticed she was the same to other patrons. I asked another staff member for the rude person's name. It was Jenny with Yellow hair. She ruined the Christmas afternoon for us. If it wasn't for her I rate our Christmas lunch afternoon 4.5 out of 5"

My experience was absolutely unacceptable. My friends and I were at the club when a young male staff member with glasses came over and rudely told us to leave immediately because I had an outside drink. I wasn’t even aware that bringing drinks from outside wasn’t allowed. Instead of politely informing me of the rule, he decided to embarrass me and my entire group by kicking us out in front of everyone. This staff member clearly has no idea how to treat members or handle situations professionally. Asking an entire group to leave over something so minor is completely over the top, especially since most of us had already ordered drinks and food from the club. I couldn’t find anything in the club’s by-laws that gives him the authority to behave this way. Management should stop hiring rude, poorly trained staff and focus on teaching their employees how to treat members with basic respect. Burwood RSL used to be a place I enjoyed, but with service like this, I’d think twice before returning.

Guys. Your chef must believe he is Gordon Ramsay. Particular dish need not be re invented. Bruschetta for instance. Why deconstructed. Shocking attempt to show his experience and flare. Censor salad. Croutons or bread. Really? Guys. Until he has his own show stick to the recipe👍

I great venue for live bands with an awesome sounding PA system accompanied by moving lights.

Food was average rsl food....mine was not good dry piece of schnitzel...limp salad... won't be going there again....

The Asian girl with glasses in reception is so rude and ripped me off. She doesn’t deserve to work in the lovely place.

It is very pleasant, with good facilities, clean and close to excellent public transport. It does not seem special though. I like the brasserie very much.

I'd like to five 5 star, but I give 4 as the asian girl in the Fast coffee section is not welcoming at all

Very very very rude. I can’t believe the manager came in front of 30 people and talked in a very bad way. I never ever trust this business for anything. Joe (I am not sure about spelling) is I think by far my worst experience in the last few years.

I was there for dinner the other night. The big security officer was very welcoming and extremely polite at reception. The staff are extremely helpful and cheerful and the Tomahawk steak was delicious. Highly recommended.

If i could give zero stars i would. Being a regular attendee and player (platinum member) this is a club where you invest thousands and thousands of dollars to get back a small fraction (return to player - RTP ratio - which i do not believe this club adheres to). But aside from this, even being a platinum member, you get charged for bottled drinks when you're investing thousands of dollars. Additionally, I wanted to make particular positive mention and give praise to Jimmy, the Club Manager - who has always been the most helpful, supportive, professional individual, with excellent customer service and respect for the club's patrons, together with Les the security guard who is outstanding in his assistance and professionalism. Both are deserving of high praise and my gratitude. Unfortunately though, this praise does not extend to some of the other employees including the so-called HR Manager (who's name i will refrain from mentioning but who was working at the club on the evening of 19 July) who rudely made it blatantly and unfairly clear (in front of other patrons) that even as a platinum member, I had to pay for drinks, despite being a regular who has put significant amounts of money into the club, and I'm here having to argue about a bottle of sparkling water? This is beyond ridiculous, and sadly, when even the HR Manager is displaying such levels of rudeness, abruptness, lack of professionalism and wants to showcase the 'power' of the position she holds, what more can anyone expect from other employess at the Club. This shows a complete lack of customer care and appreciation for long-term, loyal patrons who keep the club running. I myself hold a professional position and im sorry to say, this is unacceptable. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. As such, upon leaving the club recently, I handed my membership card to Les the security guard and told him to bin it, because unfortunately this is a club which doesn't deserve loyal, paying members. And for anyone considering attending the club, my recommendation is to not go past the bistro. And finally, whichever allocated Burwood representative is intending to respond to this review, I ask that you please save your time and refrain from sending a response which suggests me considering utilising the support of Gamble Aware or any other similar support service - feel free to send that to other gamblers who may genuinely require that support. In writing this review, i have largely enjoyed my time and experience at Burwood and this latest experience is a true pity and very unfortunate that it even occurred, however I am fulfilling my duty of care to other patrons who may unknowingly experience this type of treatment themselves in future. Horrible receptionist, they are too dumb to know manners about how to speak with guests. Crazy power trip from them, you do anything and they threaten you with kicking you out. I would recommend going someplace else has this rsl is beyond disgusting.

The best food with very reasonable price. I hardly could finish the plate. Also the staff were very courteous. Excellent service.

Starting with plenty of undercover parking we entered the main body of the club to me met with a large choice ov zones to visit. We found a quiet area where we could talk, the bar staff were prompt and friendly, and we had good coffee at the end of the night. Highly recommended.

Really nice place to have dinner and night out

Attended the show today tribute to Roy Orbison. No complaints regarding entertainment. But for the meal it was absolutely disgusting ,beef cheeks mine was nearly raw in middle. Broccoli was not even cooked . Spoke to many other all said was cold and couldn’t eat it . Why don’t you offer 50/50 not all eat beef. Rather pay little more and eat the food then starve. Also the way the cafe serve food just slap on plate . Needs a Gordon Ramsay visit lift the presentation and cleanliness

My husband ordered a seafood platter but it was terrible, way too dry and not fresh I ordered barramundi, mine was good
