Great knowledge of owner and openness to help on big laptop issue within short time, excellent service!

SCAMMED me into buying a $1000 dollars worth of pc for $2000 (this was before I knew how to build PCs). He gave me a sob story about how how hes a small business and the big companies were killing them out. Moreover, the PC DID NOT INCLUDE A CASE FAN. When I called to consult he HUNG UP on me.

Guy sold me a case with a mesh front on his internet site, turns out the case in the picture and the case that i recieved are differant. Without a mesh front for my $4k gaming computer the it rises in temperature by 15 degrees. He told me that would be fine!!! Also said because i had already built the unit that he could swap it out for 100$ even though it was completely his fault. To top that off when i first built it he gave me instructions on how to install the graphics card, only plug in one plug out of two he said (perhaps so i could pay him to do it.). Upon consulting my computer expert friend he told me to plug in both cables and it worked immediately, and i had spent over 5 hours pulling my hair out trying to figure out the problem… really classy guy. Also i am a half cast chinese person, got fairly big racist vibes from this guy usually reserved to gwailoh visiting hong kong. Reverse racism in australia who would have thought. Brace for lengthy reply!!!

I am lucky can met this shop in Chatswood. The owner is very professional and friendly. Months ago I wanted buy one gaming computer for myself, but I know nothing about assembly machine. The owner had spent very long time to introduced different choices of different parts. The computer that was finally assembled is perfect for me. And compare with other places, the price is really good. I already used this computer few months, it running good. And I introduced two of my friends bought Pc in here all highly good feedbacks. Absolutely worthy of five-star！

If you want a great, high performing PC gaming computer, I highly recommend this place. They go by the best prices and they're fast, reliable and efficient with the job. I handed in a list of specs of what I wanted for my PC and surprisingly it was finished and ready to be picked it up the next day! Mulder (the owner) did not charge me for the labour and only just the parts. Other places I've been to WILL charge you for labour! This place is my go to from now on.

Very fast response to online quote request. Mulder answered all questions in detail swiftly, and negotiated a fair price with a discount for buying all of the components I required at once. Everything was ready for pickup by the time I arrived at the store around twenty minutes later, and all items are functioning correctly with no issues.

I was introduced to this place by a friend at work nearby a few months ago. I have been purchasing highly sought after items that I could not find at the bigger computer stores such as our corporate retailer, Scorptec and mWave. Whereas, this little store, and the staff has been more than professional and helpful. I do not want to see stores like this close as this is an amazing store, and the staff do care about assisting your needs. I definitely am looking forward to coming back often to this store in the near future. Thank you!

So the launch for the RTX 3080 has been an absolute mess. I've been sitting on an order for a Gaming X Trio since the 19th and if I had stuck with it, I wouldn't have seen it until next year. So I decided to look at alternatives. In November, MSI released the Suprim. The build quality of the Gaming X had thrown me off a bit, so I tried looking for this card instead. Near impossible to find. About a week ago, though, I got a tip off that F1 had stock for the card coming in, so I inquired about that. They told me that they were due to get stock, and that they'd hold one for me. Given how hard these cards are to lock down, I was very appreciative of that. Now the stock was supposed to show on about Monday or Tuesday, but it didn't end up showing until Thursday. Obviously one day before Christmas is too close to get a delivery on Christmas Day, so I was expecting maybe next week. Nope. One of the guys from the store (not sure if it was the one I spoke in emails, but still) showed up on my doorstep today, the 25th, with my card in hand. Apparently my house was on the way to his family and decided it would be easier to deliver it in person. I have never shopped from F1, and never heard of them before, but the quality of service in helping me acquire something that is insanely hard to get at the moment, on Christmas Day, is worth a straight 5 stars. If you live around the Chatswood area and need any computers parts, I highly suggest at least giving these guys a yell to see if they have what you want first. Who knows, they might have something others don't.

Great shop and great owner. I have read some of the reviews and cannot take them seriously. I’ve been here multiple times, and find its great. The shop is slightly crowded which is totally fine as a small business, so there is definitely no problem there. Some of the reviews I find completely unrealistic. With a small shop, the owner obviously cannot hire any more people, or it would get pretty crowded time to time, which can make it hard when there is a few people in the shop. But if you do want to come in, look at some parts, and even buy some, it is always done quickly and easily. I recently bought a new RTX 3090 from here without any hassle whatsoever on launch day of them. I did get an unlucky one which did have the problems, so I messaged him if he could send it back to the manufacturer for them to look at it, and receive a new one. He explained to me in full detail of how the process works with returning in these cards for warranty, and made it clear with what will happen, and how long it can take. He offered me a spare GTX 1080 to hold onto until the new RTX 3090 comes back which I thought was a brilliant thing to do. Yet I don’t believe this would happen to every single person that needed to send a part in for warranty, but for someone he is familiar with (as being a small business, this can be risky, so I respect it quite a lot). I have been a regular customer for a few months now and have come into the shop every now and then, and even though it might not be the biggest and best computer shop to exist, I do find the experience great. I personally would recommend more experienced PC builders to come in, and just have a look around. The shop owner is a really smart guy, and I think he deserves a bit more respect for owning a small business. By far, the best small computer business that I know of.

In a nutshell, what a rude person. My wife called the shop asking whether they sell RAM for laptops and would help to install. The answer was yes. My wife asked me to take the laptop to the shop. Upon arrival the owner was eating his lunch. I should have noticed and left as he's obviously annoyed that a customer came in while he's enjoying his lunch. Everything's different when I was in the shop. Help to install the RAM? No. Lend me a screwdriver so I can open the laptop? No. Even if there's misunderstanding when my wife talked to him on the phone, was it really that hard to explain to me in a civil manner? I felt like I was in a Hong Kong computer mall where you are expected to pay and then disappear ASAP. I haven't experienced such rude service for a long long time. This is Australia, not Hong Kong. Actually one would get better service in the computer malls in HK. I don't understand how he stays in business if this is how he treats his customers. Honestly I pity him because that's probably how he derives pleasure out of his dismal life - by abusing his customers. There are both glowing and condemning reviews here of this shop. You can find out for yourself, do business with him and then come back and post your comments. For me, I would take my business elsewhere and advise all my friends and relatives to stay away from this shop. Is it possible to give zero stars?

I want to leave a great comment on this little hidden gem store For a couple of months I`ve been looking at the big online gaming pc stores in Australia to buy my first ever gaming pc. I had no intention in building it myself as many people do nowadays, so on a random day I decided to look for the local shops around me so I could meet the owner and talk about it a little bit to make sure on what build I would get and if it would not be a dodgy or sketchy build selling me cheap parts for a higher price, since I do not dominate the tech language. Mulder was there at the small store and instantly suggested me a better build on what I was looking for and at a more than reasonable price, better than the big online store ready to go gaming pc builds. He helped me with price and values in every way he could and built this little monster to me. The machine is a beast, it runs everything in Ultra settings and does what it is meant to do. 1 week in and I had no issues whatsoever. At the end he still gave me a mouse pad. Not only it was great attending me but the machine was built and ready to pick up in less than 1 afternoon, yep, you heard it, I went to the store in the morning and at 3pm afternoon the pc was ready! Also his costs for assembly are included in his pieces total value so you can actually see that they are not overcharging you for the work of putting the components together and running. Not to mention the warranty that if there`s any issue, just bring the machine and Mulder will look at it for you. If you are in the lookout for a pc, this store might be small and maybe a look a little bit messy due to the amount of products in display in the small space, give it a chance!

I've been in Chatswood for a while and purchased from various computer stores. Most of the stores have closed down and f1 tech is still around. I've never had problems at f1 tech. They've given me good prices before. If there is an item i don't agree with price I just shop else where, simple. Overall a good experience. Would continue to give f1 tech a chance.

Amazing gaming PC they build for me

My PC broke down and since I’m no computer expert, I took my computer in and Mulder fixed it up within a week at a good price too. Would recommend.

Wanted a decently spec desktop to perform simulations. Was toying between shopping online from the big players and having one bought around the chatswood area. Had some initial reservations. Was however, open minded. Went in and had a chat with Mulder (the owner). Feel that he is genuine and the prices are reasonable, and decided to go ahead. Very happy with the outcomes and after-sales services (can be near to zero for the big players from prior experiences).

I called up asking about this business helping me build a pc from parts ordered online, unopened from boxes and the man at the store refused to help me i don't want to touch it". He said he doesn't do that. So after the conversation im not sure what business his shop provides if building Pc's isnt one of them."

The owner's poor response and lack of professionalism in response to issues with their customers deserved this low review. When a customer presents a genuine issue to you, you do not reply by poking holes in whatever argument is presented, it simply is not appropriate for a business to do so. This lack of etiquette is atrocious, and you deserve every 1-Star Review that you have received.

Inaccurate opening times, faulty products, unfriendly staff and overall a bad experience

DO NOT get scammed by this place. Would give 0 stars if I could, I bought a blue tooth adaptor from this store, and when I went for a refund, the owner refused repeatedly telling me that it works on his Windows 10 computer, even though it clearly didn't. Since I use Windows 7, he tried to prove it works on a Windows 7 computer, which failed after an hour of waiting, where he repeatedly claimed that his blue tooth mouse had connected, and when trying to move it, nothing happened. Then, he attempts to refund me 20% less money than I bought it for because he supposedly usually sells for that price - trying to scam me again. The fact that he sells it normally for less than he sold to me clearly means he ups the price if it is obvious a a buyer is oblivious. Overall, absolutely ridiculous service, products and scamming. There may be other positive reviews, but it is clear to me the owner only thinks about earning money and wants to scam customers at every opportunity. In response to the owner's response; 1. He claims I walked in months later with no receipt - this is not true, even the owner himself said I had bought it weeks ago when I entered - which I did. He also didn't give me a receipt when I purchased, so how could i have one? 2. He claims the blue tooth adaptor was working for both Windows 10 and Windows 7 prior to the driver being installed, which is simply not true. He tried to connect his blue tooth mouse several times, after restarting the computer and reinstalling, which all didn't work. So it's obviously not a minor defect, the whole product didn't function. 3. I bought the device weeks earlier, not months, and it isn't even a computer part. Gadgets like such don't have fluctuating prices. Do you expect me to believe that the price LOWERED by 20% in a few weeks? Absolute bs to cover up the scamming. 4. He claims I had no proof of purchase or purchase price and he gave a full refund based on trust. in reality, he checked his records for my purchase, and only then was he willing to give a refund. 5. You should know how bots operate, since you literally run a computer store. And they don't seem like bots to me. The fact that this owner has the audacity to still say I was dishonest is actually ridiculous. Yes I have negative emotion" but not in any part of my review was I dishonest. You trying to cover up your scamming is what has been dishonest."

Entrance from Endeavour Street, Victoria Avenue one you have to go through the shopping centre. Very reasonable prices, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great to still have this type of shop available locally. All the other local computer shops are closing down (3 have closed down in Chatswood in the last year or so...). Support this shop so we can have access to it when it is required! About the negative reviews that state shop was closed, he has a number on the door call it and he always comes back. Also best to call before going in, you can check stock get advise and tell him when you will arrive and he will be there when you're there.
