1st visit @ Street level in the bar, stool seating relatively small space. Some of the staff great customer service. This lady had great rapport with one of my group. Level 1...upstairs easy access by stairs or lift. Excellent atmosphere, fantastic decor, excellent food great service. Rather warm upstairs, could've had temperature control to bring it to comfort. I was the only one that commented on the temperature it if the 7 of us, so... Excellent venue overall, worth a visit or two. Or perhaps your regular watering hole.

Always amazing . My top picks are the Hawaiian chicken schnitzel and Clare Valley steak. People are awesome too +(I'm biased tho)

Fantastic location on the balcony . The cheese and wine store great initiative and excellent value for money . Kyle's suggestions made the choosing meats and cheeses very simple and helpful topped off with a 60 dollar bottle of Piper Heidsieck Champagne make this Adelaide's best kept secret . The steaks were well done, medium was requested. The staff were friendly and helpful, the inside was dark and a little dank. But the architecture and look seemed very original and was interesting to see such a historic building.

Love their $10 beer on Thursday. Has outdoor area that you can sit and see the city view.

Great service, Emily at the bar was cheerful and approachable. Comfortable place, remarkably quiet for a Saturday evening, which made it a very pleasant place to get dinner! Menu isn't extensive but has all the pub classics, and has them at a good price - we got the salt and pepper squid and the nachos, at $22 each, both were very tasty, though nachos were a little heavy-handed on the jalapenos. Squid cooked well, chips golden and crispy, salad was nice and had a tasty dressing. Recommend, seems like an underappreciated spot!

Review for downstairs bar area. $22 menu with optional $5 any drink. We got 300g rump steaks. I was surprised of the great steaks, chips & salad. $3 extra for sauces. Chips were crisp, salad well dressed & steak was flavoursome. Only slight downfall was I ordered rare and steak was more medium but it wasn’t too chewy so wasn’t too bothered about it. Would come back.

Great for after work drinks or social clubs. Good service and balcony has a great view. Staff are personable, polite, friendly and do a great job even under busy periods. -4 stars for service. Unfortunately last visit was soured by a barmaid whose accusing tone was unjustified and misinformed, but apparently acting on the owners instruction(?). While it was very busy and mistakes made, it was obvious she had the wrong person. The behavior was witnessed by the whole table, who were just as perplexed as no explanation was given. While our event was due to finish, there's no need for this behaviour and it soured the experience and venues reputation. I would question suitability of this venue for future events, without some explanation.

We had a work function at Harry's Bar, and the experience was impeccable. Food was ordered off an extensive menu the day before for 22 people. The venue arranged the lunch exceptionally well, bringing the food out promptly and together for all patrons. And the dishes were delicious too. Well done! Great service 👏 Harry's.

Had an inch thick rump for $20 ... pepper sauce was extra, and friends raved about the mushroom sauce. Plus, with it, you can get a beer or top shelf for $5 ... nice after a show at the Meeting Hall behind the Town Hall

Unbelievable that I’ve only just been to this historic venue! The rich history this place has is just felt when you walk in, And the steak I had was one of the best I’ve had in a while, came out quick with elite service. These old venues are becoming rare and just feel so much better than a modern cookie cutter spot. I’ll be back and cannot wait for another steak and wine.

Emanuel. Full stop. What an amazing experience. This man knew his food and his beverages. Last time chips were cold and crumbling before you ate them after advising he took control . Harry’s pale ale. Not sure if the keg was out… but haven’t had a beer like this since home brewing days. Staff didn’t know if it was normal or not.. drank it as I don’t care but worth seeing if anyone else gets a pale ale with less sediment…

Harry's Bar is a classic pub with the best vegan schnitzel in town! It's crispy, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The service is lightning-fast, and their beer specials can't be beat. Love the old-school vibe and the friendly staff. Can't recommend this place enough!

A good place to enjoy with friends, maybe there are not enough food options, but in general it is a good place to visit, the architecture of the place is very beautiful.

2024 : Still a friendly pub, but oh my, the schnitzels have gone downhill. The beef schnitzel, although big, smells unpleasantly like boiled beef. The crumb seems to have curry powder added liberally into it, which is fine, but the crumb does not stick at all to the beef. One cut and the crumb is sliding all over the place and off the beef. I doubt these are handmade, and if they are, they are made pretty badly. The place was dead on a cold, freezing Monday, and it is obvious even with the cheap deal on a very average schnitzel that this was not enough to draw people in. 2017: Friendly pub. Take advantage of the daily specials like schnitzel Mondays. Really good selection of wines.

Saturday night at 7.30pm - no food, tv’s switched off at 8pm. Pretty bad. Go somewhere else if you want food and drinks around this time.

Upon asking if the soccer match will be playing, the grey-gaired woman snorted 'definitely NOT showing the soccer. I'm sorry that by noon she was already so upset with life...

I ordered a burger and was given a number plate to display where I was sitting outside. Despite others getting their food at their tables, a staff member abruptly took my plate and said my food was ready inside. It felt like I was treated unfairly, making my experience unpleasant and upsetting.

Love this place. Food is pretty great for pub food. The chips had so much flavour. Food always came out hot quick and the portions are good. The staff were so friendly and happy to have a chat and tell us the story of the place. 100% will go back every time.

Great place to meet and eat. They even serve Imperial Pints! The burger and drink deal is a great way for mates to drink, chat, and eat.

It was OK, lots of young party people ready for a big Saturday night. I had the fish.

Very friendly staff and the meals and drinks are always great. I love the happy hour prices . Great range of beverages available. They always have specials on during the week. We went on Wednesday and all meals are $20 plus an extra four dollars for a drink. I had the Scotch Fillet steak cooked medium rare with pepper sauce and it was cooked lovely. They have a nice outdoor seating area on the balcony upstairs and a great indoor area. Also have a ground bar which is nice and relaxing.

Visiting Harry's Bar was a highlight of Gather Round for me and my mates. Superb service from everyone behind the bar - each and every time we came back over the weekend because we loved it so much. Adelaide should be proud.

I frequent this place. It has an old world, grungy charm. The toilets have to the the oldest in Adelaide. Generally their food and drink deals are good.

Went here for the first time on the 26th of Feb just last week. Food was excellent & awsumly priced! I loved the atmosphere of the place & was very welcoming to teenagers. All the staff were excellent & will definitely be coming back! Nice work Harry's Bar! 👏👏👏
