Great food and service :)

Revamped recently and now features nice indoor seating and outside area with multiple tv screens and fans. Meals won’t blow you away with size but they are definitely quality and good flavour

Excellent venue with great service n music

Visited the Royal Hotel today to have a look at the new gaming room after a major renovation. I was met by a lovely staff member named Kylie. She was very friendly. She took the time to show me the venue and made me a coffee and I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee's I've ever had. I highly recommend that you go and see the gaming room and get a coffee from Kylie.

Delicious Mexican salad with crispy chicken.

Got the Mexican bowl and the full chicken schnitzel. They were very accomodating with our requests, I wanted normal aioli instead of spicy and my partner wanted veggies on the side instead of salad for his schnitzel. I would definitely come back for the bowl (the crispy chicken couldn’t have been more perfect) but the portion of the ‘full’ schnitzel could definitely be a bit bigger.

Outstanding Service

Went through the drive-thru. Young man was very helpful and even had a treat for the dog!

My daughter mentioned to me that she had had the best chicken ceaser salad at the Royal, and I should try. Friend and I went and the hotel has top notch decor/facilities, the lovely staff were attentive and the food was 1st class. Had some tasty share plates, which were 5 stars, and the desert I had was incredible. When a place I visit is this good, I always recognise it. Will be back .

Too good food good

A shared plate of Mouth watering slow cooked lamb . Paired with the creamiest mashed potato . Then for dessert raspberry ice and warm chocolate cake oozing with chocolatey sauce I nearly licked the plate clean . And good coffee to top it off . Delicious 😋

Amazing staff, back pocket was really busy however they were serving and handling TAB betting in a timely manner.

I went for the Melbourne Cup Lunch and was extremely pleased by all aspects. It was a set menu with a choice for the main and the food was delicious. The service impeccable and the atmosphere brilliant. I normally go to a five star hotel for Melbourne Cup lunch but this year I decided to patronise my local pub and I am glad I did. Definitely recommend this place if you want to have a great time with service and good food. The only criticism is the staff at the TAB in the hotel - they were not pleasant and downright rude, perhaps they need some training in customer service and courtesy.

This is fantastic. Inside ia beautiful and the staff are lovely. Vegetarians dishes are really, really nice.

Nice food and atmosphere, just a touch on the expensive side. Most mains were $27-$30.

Everything was amazing for my visit and I will keep going there from time to time.

Very disappointed with the service and food. We arrived 3pm when the place was empty and our food took 40 minutes to arrive. The steak came out cold and undercooked in the middle. Expected more for $117.

We were seated by the front roadside windows which would have been nice except for the really cold draught coming in the gap between windows and frame.

Sunday roast to share was amazing the lamb just fell apart! Sides were also cooked to perfection could easily be shared with 3-4 ppl Staff were also very welcoming and helpful we’ve enjoyed our visits here at the royal!

Poor service It's expensive since upgrade It's not my favourite pub in the area only there at someone else's suggestion to meet.

Nice place to dine and drink

Nice place for a family lunch. Parking at rear. Outdoor and indoor seating. We chose an indoor booth. You can also order by QR code on the table or at counter. No table service. Meals arrived promptly. Burger was tasty apart from the pork, had to remove. Beef snitzel was a large portion, tender and cooked just the right amount, not overdone. Would have chosen half size if available. Chicken snitzel full size was on the smaller side but sufficient and cooked well. Chips tasty, side salad - dressing was very nice. The various sauces/gravy were flavoursome. Satisfying 😋 Enjoyable meals. Recommend.

We waited for our food for about 40mins though it was Tue night tonight and not so busy night. We ordered Scotch fillet and Porterhouse stakes. Scotch fillet was supposed to be 300g but was so thin and over cooked. Chips wasn't hot but warmish as maybe we had to wait for 40mins. We approached to a waiter but he wasn't really care about our experience so when we were about to leave, I had to approach other female wait person about our disappointing experience. She said she would talk to the chef. I hope she did. It was very dissapointing my b'day dinner spending about ＄150 for food and wine for two. We won't go back there for a while for sure.

We are locals, looking for a regular pub/cafe, thought we would give the refurbished Royal another go( went there around 5 years ago, quite ordinary then). Must say very underwhelming. Lovely staff, good service, however We ordered bowls, expensive and quite tasteless. If we go back it will be for a drink and give the food a miss.

Very bad experience in first time bad service and rude staff (girl with wearing white glasses looking to be Indian) Please don’t hire staff like this in your restaurant😞

First timer here, bar looks nice but rude staff. Ordered food and non-alcoholic drink, one drink came pretty quick then the other drink came after long wait for the foods. We don’t really mind the long wait for the foods but The foods was served without cutlery so we were trying to get the staff attention but get ignored three times, so I was knocking on the plates trying to get the staff attention. She (wearing white glasses looking to be indian ) came screaming at us “get the cutlery there” (while pointing). Keep saying that I call her “animal” while I was asking nicely for cutlery (which I didn’t know was self-service as no one mentioned in the first place or any sign for it). There’s two of us eating then she purposely gave one cutlery so in the end i still have to get myself another one. You (manager) can checked on CCTV please, If possible i would like to put minus for the service. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Would be a nice place if there’s no this type of rude staff Please don’t hire staff with this kind of attitude in your restaurant. Great looking pub. They recently finished some renovations on it and it's looking superb. Has a loveky upstairs function area and nice beer garden outside. Food is sensational here and a great drinks range. Well worth checking out and going for a feed here.

Lovely new upgrade

It was recently renovated, so we thought we'd check it out. The food was absolutely amazing. Well done.

Popped in for a couple of drinks & ordered the Burrata cheese to share. Was delicious!

7 of us dined there on Saturday night, all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, service was excellent, and the new renovations look great, place had a great feel

Renovations are fantastic, a great place to chill with some friends, have a feed and down a few beers. The drive through is stocked with everything, Scotty is the man!

We had to wait too long. We are regulars at the Royal and normally receive outstanding service. Not today. We order oysters, chicken tacos and cos salad with salmon to share. The oysters and tacos took 40 minutes. It was not as though they were busy, one table of three already eating and a table of 8 order two plates of entrees after us but got theirs before us. When we asked where was our food we were told the table of 8 had ordered entrees but so did we with a side salad in fact the staff member was quite dismissive in her reply. Apparently the side salad was requested as a main. Not our doing. The staff member that did eventually ask us how we were and we told her how long we had been waiting sorted out the error and refunded the difference between a side and main meal of salad. A pity we normally enjoy going there

Food was fabulous. Latest renovations are just delightful. A good local

No craft beer, nice venue, nice staff but won't be back. All beer on tap the same, very bland beer choices, if you want beer with flavour don't bother.

Great location for catching up with friends

We booked a table of five for dinner this evening and my daughter who has epilepsy, had a tremor and spilt her drink all over the menus and the table. I honestly could not have asked for a better response from your attentive staff on shift tonight, they were calm under pressure and made our experience feel valued and respected despite what had just occurred. They jumped into action, cleaned up the existing table and moved our table and our order over to the next corresponding table so that we were comfortable and could eat our dinner! Service is impeccable and dinner was delicious. Thank you!
