Staff are so friendly here and there is so much to do, watch sport everywhere and games too. Food is excellent!

Now one of my favourite bars with the new area opened. As a sports bar, I think they should add beer pong to complete the vibe. However, this is my best meeting point first on a day out!

Went here with my friend a couple of times during our trip for baby guinesses and pool. We had a absolute blast but the crowd was pretty boring. The staff was fun and friendly. I can recommend this place for a round of pool, dart or playstation.

Terrible staff at the club, racism and lack of respect

It is such a cool sports bar but even if you arent interested in sports its still so cool. I went with my partner and we just had some food and drinks. We went 2 days out of the 4 we were in melbs

RUDE SECURITY!!!!!! To be honest, this place is on my list whenever I want to go for some drinks, but somehow on Tuesday this week, I introduced my friends to come here to have some drinks and I know the rule is “no outside foods allowed” so I politely asked the security guys if I could leave it somewhere or maybe in the kitchen because that was my food for work tomorrow. There were 2 blokes of the security, 1 middle aged 1 in his 20s, surprisingly, the young man aggressively told me that if I LEFT THE FOOD NEXT THE DOOR HE WOULD CHUCK IT TO THE BIN?? and aggressively yelled at me (Lmao I already told that it was my food for morning work and ofc I would not eat it). At least you have to respect other’s food CHAMPS! However, I did love the middle-aged guy for calmingly explaining everything for me BUT I WILL NOT AND NEVER COME BACK AGAIN! P/S: You’re only door security not a copper my little boy lol.

Great place for drinks and sports

The place is nice and cosy! But the staff and security guy, act like they are the owner of the place. Super rude and disrepectful to the customers. It is a great place to hang out but it is such a shame of how they treating the customers.

Lots of kicking going on

Unreal happy hour, 5pm-1am $8 for certain spirits and $22 jugs of Carlton. PS5s were good fun to play as well. Hopefully these deals last a while, will be definitely coming back!

Drinks are served with reasonable price and the vibe is nice. However, the security guard (the one with the glasses), is unnecessarily rude with his choice of words. We tried to be understanding but this gave us a super bad experience.

RUDE SECURITY I had a great night at Kicks, a bar where we ordered nearly four towers of drinks and plenty of food within an hour. I invited a friend from China who had just arrived in Melbourne to join us for a drink. Since it’s common in China to smoke indoors, my friend wasn’t fully aware of the rules here. Upon arriving at Kicks, right before the first few flights of stairs at the entrance, he took a single puff from his vape. Out of nowhere, security officer number 295 shouted at him, immediately denying him entry to the bar without even giving him a chance to explain. What made it worse was that there was no notice before the stairs about vaping restrictions, which would have helped tourists like my friend who just got here. I’ve seen people smoking inside Kicks before, and they usually get two warnings before being asked to leave, so it felt unfair that my friend wasn’t given any warning at all. When I tried to explain to the bouncer that my friend had just arrived and didn’t know the rules, the security officer became even more hostile. He started mocking us, saying we had “no common sense” about Australian law, and completely dismissed anything we tried to say. I was infuriated when he outright lied, claiming my friend had taken multiple puffs inside the property, which never happened. Despite my efforts to stay calm and explain the situation, the security officer was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. The whole situation was blown out of proportion, and my friend was treated with such disrespect—it was a terrible experience.

Unreasonable management

The food was disappointing. The chicken Caesar salad came without dressing and the bacon was burnt. When we ask for the dressing for the salad they only put a little bit of oil. Also, the king prawn pasta was good but warm when it arrive to the table.

A relaxed and friendly vibe with Smiling staff who are very accommodating. Big shout out to Gemma who was happy to put the Rugby on for us at 1am in the lounge with sound. Staff always doing the rounds to clean up too. I was also impressed to see security within the venue as well.

It’s a nice place to hang out with friends. The food is average but the drinks are good. You can also play pool which I really enjoyed.

Ethan and Lewis at the bar are SO lovely and responsive and always amazing service. 100% recommend!!

Naughty corner.

I had a shocking experience with a particular bouncer at Kicks bar on 3/07/24. He discriminated against my Asian friend, wrongfully mistaking him for another Asian and accusing him of something he wasn't even present at the bar for the night prior. Based on historical reviews, this is clearly not the first time Asians have been discriminated against at Kicks bar, and it probably won't be the last. Disappointing.

Racist security guard towards Asians, have only attended once and was accused of things I didn't even do. Security guard then refused me entrance to the venue, but allowed my friends that were white to attend.

RACIST SECURITY We went in w some white people and no problem but then we decided to go back out to get some stuff and when we came back, they stopped us at the elevator and pointed at my friend’s face (we’re Asian) and said my friend came and threw up the day before but none of us was there We tried to explain that it wasn’t us but he insisted that it was our group cuz he checked the camera. They let us in eventually. We spent the night for a while cuz our friends are already inside but WOULD NEVER COME BACK

Great venue: really friendly staff, fair reasonable prices, good food, even the bouncers are nice! Only problem is Kicks is lacking in activities. They're losing punters to other venues that offer karaoke nights, live music, Trivia Nights, etc... Currently just strictly a Sports Bar and a bloody good one at that. All the major Boxing, UFC, NBA, Soccer, Tennis,etc... You name it, Kicks has that sporting event!

Horrible service from a bloke with long hair very rude and would never come black to this place, put me off the whole joint and would never come back
