Seriously good pub. Meals were great. Hot Rock cooking at the table was quirky. Will come again.

Ordered the prawn stir fry… Avoided at all cost six baby prawns, soy sauce with some sort of sugar mix, you couldn’t call it a stir fry . it makes me wonder if the staff even taste this crap before they send it out. I think they’ve gone cheap because they no longer serve Coca-Cola. The Barman told me it’s cheaper to have Pepsi….🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Staff were not friendly at ALL. Rude and have a bad attitude problem. Bar staff need a good talking too. Food was atrocious. Forgot one of our meals. Missed half the items actually required on the burger. Steak sandwich and tacos were disgusting. Steak was chargrilled and must’ve been reheated chewy, old and plain gross. DO NOT RECOMMEND. waste of $200…. Should’ve known better it was Gawler after all 🤮

We dine here often. But last wednesday it was very busy at lunch. We waited a while but all good. Waitress came out to say they had run out of rice. 12.30 pm beginning of service. So.my friend had his prawn stir fry w ith a salad . Also 2 tables of Asians. ?? They didnt get any either. I ordered southern fried chicken salad. So tough i couldnt cut it. Salad really dry. Im on a health kick so at least i only ate half . That saved calories. Not always this bad. But so dissapointed. Wont be back soon.

I can’t believe they have got rid of Coca-Cola after serving Coca-Cola for so many years very disappointing won’t be back

Love this Hotel, great staff, food was amazing and of course cold beer..🍻👌🌞 There were a variety of meals, fish schnitzels, steaks, pizzas, no complaints from any of them. 🥳🥳

over cooked and bland seafood plate... change your oil might help to. Never cleared tables. Its a no from me.

Not a bad spot for a drink and an honest counter meal. The Kingsford fillet is quite good.

Had the seafood plate special on a Wednesday night. Everything was OK but the fish was paper thin, over cooked and tuff. Bit like fish jerkey. Get what you pay for I suppose. 🤔 won't be going back.

Honestly the worst meal I've had anywhere, grilled fish waspaper thin and dry, crumbled when cut, salad was disgusting, it was probably prepared on the plate in the morning as everything was flat not crispness in anything at all. The waitress was informed but no appologies came from the kitchen. We won't be back.

Today we had lunch at Kingsford hotel and it was very pleasant. Nice atmosphere and was quite full for lunch.The service was good, after ordering at the bar our food came out quickly. Two of us ordered the Stone grill porterhouse which was under $25 each. The meat came out looking very fresh and a bargain at this price. Would definitely came back for a meal.

Forgot to take a photo before we sent back my son's cheeseburger which was RAW in the middle. Staff were apologetic and organised a replacement. Aircon filter above our table is filthy with dust. Ceiling fans coated in dust aswell, glad they weren't on. Won't be back.

Is our local - but great for locals or visitors for lunch or dinner. Great menu options catering for all !! Check.out thier website and specials - Stone grill is a must !! even for vegetarians 👏👏👏 Lovely inside restaurant- balcony tables for smaller groups and a HUGE outside eating area !!! Something for everyone !! 🤩😃 Enjoy

For our Entree we shared a plate of Asian Pork Belly Bites, this is a tasty dish but it would of been an outstanding dish if the skin wasn't so soft, it should be a crackle. We did mention this to staff to pass onto the chef when they cleared our plates. The main I had Grilled fish chips & salad, I think the fish really needed to have more seasoning, even hubby a chef said it needed more seasoning on it as it tasted very plain, I didnt like the green salad dressing so I have to remember to tell them no dressing in future. Hubby had the Surf & Turf, he ordered the eye fillet rare but it came out more a medium but he said it was still edible. The place has very friendly staff & with this cold weather we're having the fireplace on created a lovely warm cosy room to enjoy your dining experience

Steaks are good and a nice cut of meat, but frozen veggies let the whole meal down, you cook the steak yourself on the volcanic rock and pay a premium so why can't you up the veggie game? Have had good service previously this time one lady was good the other not so much. Atmosphere was ok, toilets were dirty. Wouldn't take much to bring the meals up to scratch the biggest let down is the vegetables, corn included its like they get the frozen packs from woolies... but even then they taste better. Pretty sure the chips/ wedges are a frozen item too. S&P squid pieces are way too large to be crunchy, decent flavour but go soggy cos of the massive size. Surf and turf sauce is nice with decent size prawns. Will edit review if something changes but will more than likely pick elsewhere to go with the family so no promises. Spent $400 plus here perhaps too many times. They do, do a good schnitzel tho have no complaints on that and the size is very good.

Lovely service, amazing staff members who were all very sweet. The food was okay, the schnitzels were amazing but the peri peri chicken was just not good. I reccomend this place for their drinks and traditional meals but if you are fussy ask the staff what they like. ❤️

Stopped for a bite to eat after a fairly busy day geocaching.decided we wanted something light (1 prawn and mango salad and1 prawn tikka masala). Both excellent. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Great place for ambiance too.

Went to karaoke for the 1st time. A fight began between 2 men, now this I don't understand 1 got kicked out but the other man got to come back in as it seemed he was known to the staff. I found this very unbelievable as this male was trying to kung foo fight with his legs and threw a punch, in my opinion he to should have been escorted from the premises but instead the lady behind the bar replaced his beer that was lost due to the fight. Very disappointing :( Not sure if I will ever return?

A great place. The food is amazing. The staff are great and friendly. Specials on food daily and happy hour from 2 pm 🕑 to 6 pm. 🕕 highly recommended this place for food and drinks

Went here on a quiet day, but staff were great. Ordered a Steak (tenderloin) and it was PERFECT.

First time here, meals took forever to come out but you could see they were under staffed so not an issue. Got asked if we wanted bread, we said yes he never came back hahahahahaa... Food was great no issues....

My family and I arrived 10mins before the kitchen closed and the staff were more than happy to seat us, the food came out promptly and was very tasty, the staff were all friendly and polite, next time I go I'll be eager to try the stone grilled options they have available! :)

Cant go past the Scotch fillet stone grill. Have stopped in a couple of times now and hasn't disappointed.

Ordered 2 steak sandwiches we were dissatisfied we expected a steak sandwich 2 slices of Bread but we received a very large long bread roll far too much bread It just spoiled the meal nothing like a steak sandwich

Absolutely fabulous evening celebrating a birthday at the Kingsford.$30 stonegrill went down a treat, priceless look on my 92 year old Mum's face when a raw scotch fillet steak was put in front of her but she ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Staff were wonderful refrigerating the birthday cake & then supplying a knife & plates to serve. Great Tuesday night at the Kingsford.

Always looked after as a GBJC member. Excellent staff and I like that snacks and drinks are provided to gaming area.
