Clean spacious rooms with all you needed.

We had a one night stay at the Marco Polo motor inn. Unfortunately our experience was not great. Whilst the room was of a reasonable standard for a motor inn we were originally quoted $364. When querying the price on the phone it was reduced to $350. When I arrived to check in the attendant requested cash payment and if using a credit card the price had to be increased. I was obliged to then find an ATM to withdraw cash. The room was not worth $350 and I did not appreciate being asked to pay cash at check in and not pre-warned that this was the expectation.

As per the title, we stayed one night at short notice after an issue with our original accommodation plans. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room ws clean, quiet and comfortable. Tiled floor in the bathroom was a little rough and dated, but clean. The shower head and toilet were recently updated and perfect. Beds were firm,but comfortable, everything had a great night's sleep. Complimentary pod coffee machine was a pleasant surprise and very welcome.||Will definitely stay again the next time we're coming through Taree!

I have stayed at the motel several times and highly recommend this motel. The rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable and spacious. The hosts are amazing and always willing to assist you with anything you need. Thank you for the amazing stay.

Nice hotel. Easy parking and a river out the back to look at lizards and ducks. Microwave, lounge, coffee maker with 2 pods . Huge bed

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Marco Polo Motor Inn and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and exceptional service. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, setting a positive tone for my stay. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The staff went above and beyond to provide recommendations and assist with reservations, which made my trip even more enjoyable. The motel backs by a beautiful creek and serene bird life. Our kids loved the pool at the front side, where they spent most of their afternoon. Overall, my stay at the motel exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay or even a overnight stop from a long drive.

The owners at Marco Polo Motor Inn Taree were really helpful and accommodating. This is one of those places I’d love to give the full 5 stars, but the rooms are a little rough around the edges. While it's clean and tidy, it just needs a bit of attention for the price they’re asking compared to other places I’ve stayed. However, the service was amazing, and the people are really nice.

We recently stayed two nights at the Marco Polo which we have done before. The site states that they have daily housekeeping which they don’t. The first time we stayed for two nights, housekeeping wasn’t completed as they said they forgot. Give them another go but this time they said they done work Sundays. If you had takeaway in your room and used the bin and housekeeping is not done i could only imagine the smell if you had KFC or pizza or McDonald’s. Also you can hear toilets from other rooms, the aircon in our room didn’t work properly and rattled when you increased the speed. Unfortunately we won’t be staying there again and I don’t recommend the motel as price you pay is not value for money. They aren’t the most expensive but it’s a lot higher in price than other places.

I felt the manger was a bit of a cheapskate in that he overcharged me for a very average room. There were no teatowels to dry dishes. But, yes, the water pressure was A plus. Looking elsewhere next time.

THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY ON CHECK IN. SHOWED US WHERE ALL FACILITIES WERE. GAVE GREAT INFORMATION ON A LOCAL RESTAURANT - THE GRILL TAREE - WHICH WAS A GREAT PLACE FOR AN EXCELLENT MEAL. ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND QUIET. BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. LIKED THE COFFEE POD MACHINE.

We had a great stay at Marco Polo Motor Inn. Amazing room with all necessary facilities. The room, sheets, toilets, cutlery everything was super clean. Harry at reception was very friendly. I would definitely stop by this lovely motel again.

Unprofessional. I forgot a small personal thing in my room. I texted them to post it using the pre-paid envelope.I told them I am happy to transfer the dollar(envelope cost). They did not reply to my few texts, neither my frequent calls. They also asked me to use one bed only out of the two beds in the room despite the booking was paid in full.

I had an exceptional stay at this cozy motel run by a wonderful young couple. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make my visit perfect, offering great local tips and warm hospitality. The location is peaceful yet convenient, making it the perfect getaway. Highly recommended!

Would highly recommend for short or long stay. Seamless check in and always happy to accomodate any request. Kind and caring during any interaction. Understanding after hours if/when locked self out of room. Immediately serviced request to regain access to room. Comfortable accommodation with crisp linen. Highly recommend for room, service and also within walking distance for shops and/or dining out. My go to accommodation location in Taree.

After a 6 day experience because of a Health concern I cannot highly enough recommend this great little motel. My room was more than enough for my needs and having an ice continental brekkie each morning definitely helped my recovery.|However above all ammenities I must compliment and recommend the young couple who run the establishment. The way i was treated and helped was great. This motel definitely a 4 star rating in treatment of clients. Well done.

We had a stopover at the Motel after a long drive from Brisbane, I must say we had one of the best stays on our road travels. The room had all the amenities, spacious, clean and quiet. The staff are very friendly and also gave us good recommendations for meals . Their continental breakfast is reasonably priced and served to your room, which was very convenient for us.|Will definitely return for another stay.

The owner/manager was absolutely lovely when I pulled in for an emergency stay due to car troubles. The room was clean, well presented and nice enough. The blind of the room I was in had some issues. The water pressure was absolutely amazing, super hard and very hot, felt like acupressure which was very needed after a long drive. The bathroom did flood from the shower though which is a bit of a slip hazard and also an issue if you leave anything on the floor while you're in the shower.

Rooms were clean, the window curtains were broken. Paid for breakfast 3 nights even said on the invoice they argued only paid for one breakfast. The breakfast was bad cold toast, unrefrigerated milk and the cheapest cereal you could buy at ALDIs. Then after checkout they said they couldn’t find the tv control so they charged even more money. Why don’t you have a decent look around the room before you scam people, this place is run by an Indian family. They will try and scam you I wouldn’t even trust them with your credit card details. Don’t book here

Very disappointed with owner, refused to honour their cancellation policy. We had to cancel at late notice due to circumstances not under our control. Their policy in non-peak times states that 100% of the first night will be charged if you cancel within 48 hours. We have been charged for both nights and there was no reasoning with the owner. We were happy to accept one night as per the policy.

Large rooms for this hotel. Coffee machines and tea etc......comfy beds and a lovely Barby right on the river. Terrific value

I stayed here for 2 nights. Room was clean and nice. There is a small sitting area at the back close to the creek. you can sit down and relax. There is a bbq as well if you wish to do one.

Best motel EVER. Lisa greeted us with such hospitality and knowledge, as well as accommodating last-minute bookings. The room was tastefully decorated and even had a Nespresso machine. This is the first motel or hotel I have ever come across that features a bin for recycling in the room. Bravo. 100% recommend.

When you walk into recreation and get greeted with a big smile and friendly face always makes a great impression we checked in mentioned we couldn't wait to go for swim but was told the pool was dirty from the rain and wind previous day and we would have to wait 20min later knock on our door pool was ready great service pool is also nice and deep at 1 end walking around see the owners always a smile makes you feel welcomed rooms were great spacious and cleaned great job best of luck to you guys but you don't need it

Best place in the area. The rooms are modern, clean and airy. No bad smell or mould. Owners were very kind and courteous. Will definitely rebook if passing the area.

Absolutely lovely husband and wife who are exceptional at running the place and so accommodating. Beautiful people. Marco Polo has everything you would expect from a motel in a small town and more! It is located on a main road, noise from nearby roads and neighbouring homes, but overall a brilliant spot to stay. Certainly hope to return again sometime.

Great accommodation right on the river, bring a rod there were heaps of fish jumping. Beautiful bbq area on the river. The king bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing. |The rooms are supplied with all essentials. Toaster, microwave, cutlery and a coffee machine with mugs Yay which was awesome. This was our second stay and they are always happy to accommodate any request if able. |We will be back thank you.

Stayed here overnight on the way to Gold Coast. Clean tidy room wth a large bed and great shower room. Parking on site. Easy late check in. Perfect for an overnight stay.

An older motel but clean and presented well. The new owners are renovating and are keen to provide good service. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean and the room overall well kept. Thank you for a good overnighted.

When we arrived we were greeted by Lisa who is one of the nicest sweetest and most helpful receptionist we've ever had the pleasure to meet. Ten minutes after we entered the room, she came to check if we were happy with it and if there was anything else we needed. The room is extremely clean comfortable with amazing appointments and decor. The motel backs on to the river with a great BBQ, relaxed seating and even rod holders for fishing. The Marco Polo is a 3 1/2 star motel with a five star presentation and attitude. You'd be crazy to stay anywhere else in Taree. A must for long distance travellers like us. Thanks guys we loved it. As a regular on the festival circuit I have stayed in every motel in Taree and this is by far the best yet. The beds are incredibly comfortable , rooms are impeccable and its location is very handy. Backs on to the water with a lovely little lounging area to chill. This will be my go to whenever we are in town

We were doing a roadshow stopping in Lismore, Coffs Harbour and Taree and this motel was by far our favourite. The reason for this is because of the clean and well-made rooms, the provided toiletries and shampoo, but most importantly the owners who actively supported us and made us feel welcome at this establishment. An example of this was when I had a small issue with the blinds falling off and the owner came in quickly and got the problem sorted. I would definitely come back and support this local and family owned business if I have the chance. Thank you!

Motel generally, very good service, friendly and helpful staff. Close to the main road so plenty of road noise. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you want a quiet night's sleep. Rooms are clean and tidy but dated, 60-70s bathroom tiles, basic but functional furniture. Comfortable bedding with multiple pillows. The open sulo bin near room 404 was smelly and a bit much, closing the lid might help.

Marco Polo Motor Inn is a warm, welcoming place to stay for a night or two, a week, or a month or more as in my case on 2 occassions to date. The management have made some massive renovation changes since they took possession just over 1 year ago. They have also made the riverside area welcoming with an awesome new gazebo that now allows clients to cook under cover despite the weather. The household staff have been well chosen which reflects in the quality of the service provided. The room are spacious, with smart TV, wifi access and most of all very comfortable beds.

The shower had mould growing between the tiles. Disgusting old couch that needs to be thrown out.

Stayed here a few months ago & forgot to do a review but remembered today😂 the rooms are so nice! & the owner was so helpful and genuine. 100% recommend

Great management, cleaning ladies are so cool. Had shower chair in bathroom which I need due to injuries. Only downfall I was quoted $110 for the night and when I looked at my receipt after leaving, was charged $165 ???

Management and staff went out of their way to make sure all your needs were met. Could not be happier with the service.

Clean and quiet and great service.

This is a modest motel, but very clean and well maintained. The staff goes out of their way to please customers. Everything works and this is not easy to find. Great value for money. We stayed on our way to Sydney and again on our way back to the Gold Coast. Happy to recommend.

Stayed 1 night while traveling through. Room was spacious, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. The host was friendly and very helpful, especially since we were towing a large boat that didn't fit in the parking area but a suitable alternative was found. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best motel in town! The owner was very friendly and approachable. The room is super clean with a microwave, kettle, plates, bowls and utensils. You can even watch Netflix from the large screen TV. Haven’t used their BBQ but will give it a try one day

Clean and tidy rooms that are not too far from the shops. Has a bbq area and creek nearby. Not a bad little overnight stay, but not a long term place if you have kids.

Very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and equipped with the standard motel amenities, was clean and everything worked as it should. King Room bed was very comfortable. Harry went out of his way to help and was an excellent host. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Located at very convenient location. Coles, Woolies & eateries are within 3 to 5 mins drive. I went with my family including 2 kids. Clean & Neat rooms & Excellent Staff Services - Hary & Nirav are Gem. Enjoyed our stay there, Highly recommended...

My husband, (who is disabled) and I stayed here for 3 weeks while our home was being renovated to cater for my husband’s disability. Marco Polo suited us perfectly with one room specifically for disabled people. Harry and Nero were the best hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as they could. The room was re-organised to make room for his mobility scooter. I highly recommend Marco Polo. Both management are staff were always accommodating for our needs

The team here are amazing! Real care factor with everything they do. We had booked into another place nearby, but due to an issue with the booking, fortunately at the last minute..after 9 hours of travelling, the team at Marco Polo were able to put our family up for the night in a family room. Place is very clean and well put together. I will definitely book a place here when travelling through again!

BEST MOTEL IN TAREE We are a group always come to taree and guess what we found! Very clean and spacious room with Smart TV. Staff are excellent and helpful. Daily room service and BBQ near river and fishing 🎣 Positive vibes @ Marco Polo.
