Normally drop in for a meal after work but decided to UberEats it tonight, had the Aussie parties and it was delicious! Perfect portion size with chips and salad, compliments to the chef! 👩‍🍳

2022, pleasant young waitress, but chicken parmi so hard it couldn't be chewed. Meat in mixed grill almost burnt and also chewey. This was a couple of years ago! The meals now are top notch for a local pub. It's surprising what a difference a new chef and management can do.

Pork belly tasted like eating a rock of salt, with dry hard crackling that didn't crunch. Kids meals were over salted & deeply fried dripping with oil. We brought a cake to celebrate a birthday with candles. I had to ask for our table to be cleared & for the cake to come out as we did not see any staff apart from when they brought food to our table. The cake came out, the candles were on the cake unlit & it was just plopped in front of the birthday girl. Staff were nice when we ordered & paid but there was 0 service apart from that.

Older property but very clean and comfortable. Being close to the highway there was heavy Traffic noise. Location very good for airport. Staff very courteous and friendly.

Great budget accommodation at a great price. The pub has a fantastic menu and is reasonably priced.

I had a party of 10 on 21/12/24 four of us had scotch fillet steak and we couldn’t eat because it was tough ,at $38 a steak was very disappointed ,all the other meals were good lift your game on the quality of your meat

Well worth a visit to grab a meal. I was so glad I'd reserved a table as this place was jam packed with people. Was greeted by friendly staff and led to the table. They have an extensive menu to cater for all sorts. I went for the Hawaiian Parmigiana with a pint of beer. Came to just under $30 and what a great meal. The chicken seemed like a normal portion but was thick and juicy. The chips cooked perfectly and the salad delicious. My friend went for the mega size and couldn't finish his meal so you're definitely getting value for money here. Plenty of parking on site although can get full pretty fast. Wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

Great pub food at old-school pub-food prices

Whilst on holidays from Adelaide, we had meals at the Shamrock in Hobart and the sister pub, The Mornington Inn. The meals at both places were amazing , with plenty to choose from and fabulous price. Highly recommended. The staff were very friendly. Thanks 😊

Rooms were great. Were worried about the noise from traffic but could not hear it at all. Staff were so helpful with questions and advice. The food looked fantastic but we didnt get the chance.

The bed in the room was not the best but the room was clean and warm and we got a good night sleep The restaurant food was great we ate there every evening (3 in total )and it was packed with locals every time The staff were nice and the food came out quick even though it was super busy

Excellent staff. I went to a birthday dinner. Excellent portions and on a table of 10 all were delighted with their meals. The only frustrating thing was having to order and pay before the meal. The queue was 15 -25 minutes long for some and then half as long for drinks. This therefore cuts in to the social aspect of a great gathering and sharing time. The rush as for a 6 or 7 meal. So the business adds another member of staff for 3 hrs $100 and I am certain that the tables could turn X 2. People would order more drinks and spend extra $$$. Not one out of 10 from our table considered dessert to avoid the pain. Oddly the place was packed ..so if it ain't broke is typical of why improvements are not made BuT am sure more sales and better service would go a long way

Medium/rare steak was VERY hard to cut even with steak knife.. even harder to chew.... tomato in salad was on the green side & very hard.. chips were nice

Great spot between the city and airport. Nothing flash, but very affordable. Rooms are clean, and there's a bistro about 15m away, so no drink driving!

Came for a family birthday lunch ,staff was very rude and very unprofessional,the food was terrible,chips had a bottle of chicken salt tipped on them ,which made them unable to eat ,this is the worst meal I've ever had and I certainly wont be re turning,I contacted Rochelle steel several times,with no response at all ,they don't care about customers or customer service,

I got the vegetarian nachos and ponied up extra for the meat version. It was pretty weak overall, not much meat, thin layer of cheese and all the chips underneath were plain. Everyone else at my table had pretty amazing looking stuff so just don't order the nachos and you'll have a good time.

Can’t complain about the meal it was great but all I can say is “WOW” the attitude of the bar & service staff was shocking. Took my mother out for her birthday & it was just so disappointing to have it ruined with drawling sarcasm & rude answers. Doesn’t matter how nice the food is!!! Not going back.

Disgraceful food obviously prepared by unskilled staff. Prices in no way reflect what you actually get Frozen pre packed deep fried seafood tasted horrible but cost way to much

Staff with friendly ordered steak medium rare came out blue and very tough the so-called mashed potatoes salty and dry rest of the veggies with cold

The tavern was next door to our accomodation we ate here on our last night in Tassie.|Had seafood platter and mango chicken curry.|They were very busy and got us a table as we had not booked. Food was good and good variety good prices.||Would recommend

Every time we come, the staff are friendly and helpful! We have to give Barbie an extra special mention...she remembers our names, chats to the kids and goes above and beyond every time. Five stars to all and an extra one for Barbie 😊😊😊

Had meal at mornington hotel meals that were brought out were cold.staff not that friendly.We had our meal about 3 pm as they advertise meals till 8pm thought we would eat before heading out to town .Would not recommend to family and friends.

Had such a wonderful experience here! Barb, made my husband and I super welcome. She went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated. Wonderful people skills and such a happy and kind person to talk with. Food was amazing and the service was fast. Servers went out of their way to make sure everyone's needs were met.

Disgusting. OMG where do I begin. The service is amazing. Im not going to take anything away from those girls. They do an amazing job. I went in for lunch today with my elderly father. We will never return. I ordered the beef and bacon burger. It was horrid. The burger was like a rock. It had obviously been made a week ago. Yuck. My father a a beef snitzel. Also it was horrid. Dad couldnt eat his either. With so much on the menu things cant be fresh. A joke really. Just yuck honestly.

Me my partner and 4 kids just had my sons birthday here the food was amazing, just wish the service was as good we had one very rude lady who needs to go back and learn her customers service skills very rude and abrupt the waitresses were on the ball but this lady was next level rudeness. Tables were cramped a bit like sardines needs more space. If these things get better definitely would go back for the food.

Called in for a meal in the sports bar, huge selections of beers on tap, massive super affordable menu, $16 for a parmy! Friendly and approachable staff!!! Everything was amazing!!!

Me and the wife came here on a trip down to Tasmania and had a pleasant meal. We loved the portion sizes, the food and drinks were great and the staff were so attentive. We had a staff member named Rochelle and she was very friendly. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

Average food. Worse service. A waitress named Jackie was lovely, but the other 2 youngs girls have a terrible attitude and were not pleasant to deal with at all. Will not be returning.

Disappointed to say the least. A friend and I booked a room so we could go out and enjoy our night knowing that we could go back to the hotel and enjoy some sleep before returning on a 2 hour drive back to Launceston. On arrival the room smelt like cat wee and the bin was on the bed? Our key card worked just fine and we did have a beautiful meal at the pub. We left for our night out and returned at 5am where our key card would not work and we couldn’t get back into the room. We sat outside in the freezing cold for 45 minutes until an elderly couple arrived and let us sit in their room while we called the security company that was on the back of their door to call in case of emergencies. They said they couldn’t help us, there was no other type of after hours number, after much convincing the security company said they would send someone out, did they? NO. We waiting in this room that wasn’t ours with towels around us sitting on chairs freezing because even the heat pump didn’t work on their room. We had to wait to find a cleaner at 8:30am who told us ‘that can happen when you have the key card in the same bag as a phone’ well it would’ve been nice to know that, also that’s never happened to me. Went over and spoke to reception and all we got was ‘I’ll get the manager to contact you on Monday’ and no nothing, we had to make contact with them and they said they needed someone higher up to give us a refund. We rang them all week with no progress and it’s now been 4 weeks and STILL NO REFUND. Not sure why we had to pay for a room that we didn’t even get to sleep in, they wouldn’t of had to make the beds the next day or clean anything and yet we still weren’t entitled for a refund. All of our belongings were inside the room, we only had what we took out with us and I hate to think if those people didn’t turn up and so kindly let us sit with them how it could’ve turned out. Not happy

We recently had a counter meal here and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. The serving sizes were good, without being wasteful, and very tasty. There were so many variations on the good 'ol schnitty and the chips were perfect (crispy little pillows of potato). The staff were all friendly and service was really quick. I would definitely return when I am next in the area.

The manager there is rude and disresptful to her workers and customers, have seen this on numerous occasions - super disappointing given location and menu - food there is great! Change the management and the customers there would double!

I go just for the beer and parmi. It's a cheap place, but generally is my (go to) when I'm really hungry. Overall, it's ok.
