No air conditioning

We were due to arrive tomorrow for a night stay. Unfortunately due to a medical issue, we had to cancel our booking at short notice. The reception staff were wonderful and quick in response to let us know that they had cancelled our booking, no charge, and had wished us all the best in our current predicament.

The positioning of bed was not correct in the room because of two lights right on the top of the bed. The lights banged twice on my head.

A lovely motel for affordability, comfort and convenience. The extra bed also has functional electric blanket. Will stay here again in Hobart.

Easy and convenient location, had a hassle free stay, ladies were helpful both in reception and cleaners. Stayed for work till my rental was available.

Great place to stay because of location. It's close to shopping and eating places as well as highways to take you on site seeing adventures. A couple of things that was annoying, the sign out the front was not always illuminated which caused us to drive right past a couple of times early in our stay, but the plumbing was noisy. Every time someone was brushing their teeth, having a shower or flushing the toilet in the other units, the noise of the running water would resonate through our unit. The people next to our unit would flush their toilet 3 or 4 times a night. The cleaning staff were very friendly and obliging if an extra towel or service was required. The price for our stay was very reasonable and the unit was clean and comfortable. A very big plus was that once the door was closed, traffic noise was very minimal compared to other places we've stayed.

Fabulous roomy accommodation, comfortable bed, awesome shower, and everything we needed for a 3 night stay was here. Serviced daily, and certainly value for money, can definitely recommend Martin Cash Motel.

Perfect location and just a 15mins drive to the CBD. Accessibility is so good to this motel. You Gotta try the restaurant down the main street road which is 2 mins from the motel.

Great motel to stay on the north side of Hobart

As we travel from somerset myself and partner travel for the hobart hospital we always choose to stayed at the hotel very well situated dont need for nothing staff are lovely and friendly rooms are very tidy and comfortable and has a carpark, we look forward to be staying there tomorrow.. Below average experience with service.No internet available in the room , asked the reception attendant a few times but they were blaming it on my device while i could connect on the same device at reception but unable to a few metres away.

Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis in Hobart. Das Motel liegt etwa außerhalb, aber an einer Hauptstraße und nicht weit weg vom Highway. Eine Bushaltestelle ist auch direkt in der Nähe und man kommt so Recht schnell in die Innenstadt. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und waren sauber. Frühstück muss man selbst besorgen. Wir haben jeweils Frühsport gemacht und sind zum McDonald's ein paar Straßen weiter gelaufen (5-10 Minuten) und haben dort gefrühstückt.

The bed was really comfortable - clearly the motel cares about comfort, which is not always the case with motels at this price. Conveniently located - the road isn’t all that busy. Also, the iron was a very good, modern one - also unusual for a motel this price. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

This is a great motel if you want a basic room that's clean. The service was very friendly especially Vicky who went out of her way to get an item back to me that I left behind. The location is good wirh lots of food option surrounding you.

We checked in on a Sunday around 4pm. Unbeknown to us the staff were well gone. There is a self-check in service and a phone with no one at the other end of it. Apparently, they had no details of mine, which was hard to believe. Not sure how I managed to make a booking without any details. Anyway, I was sitting on the chair in front of reception wondering how was going to get into my room or would I need to sleep in my car. We were fortunate that one of the other guests came past and they couldn't get in either. They gave us a number to call, which was the sister company. Thankfully this person was able to get us checked in. Did the manager come and welcome us the next day? Not at all. We stayed for four days. Such bad service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My partner and i stay here every time i have a hospital visit and would never book anywhere else to stay..Very clean and tidy staff are very helpful and friendly..I would recommend this hotel to family and friends close to shops and a very comfortable hotel to stay at

A cheap motel in desperate need of some updating. Stayed purely due to price. Unfortunately the mattress was poor, and the bathroom was full of mould. Staff absolutely lovely to deal with and location is great.

Nice sized room. After hours automated check in was easy and hassle free. Had everything you needed. Only downside was the room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Not good for asthmatic guests.

Shower situation I question safety

Martin Cash Motel is a terrific place to stay if you want a clean fuss free place to stay! It’s central to Moonah shopping area and also to Glenorchy Northgate shopping centre and shopping precinct. A 15-20 minute drive and you’re in the heart of the city of Hobart, or if you want to venture to the eastern shore it’s about a 13-15 minute drive and there is a shopping centre in Rosny that offers a range of shopping or dining and cafes.The staff at Martin cash motel are very pleasant and helpful with information about the local area and or any inquiries regarding your room. Prices per night are reasonable and some include breakfast that is presented in a neat little box and comprises of bread for toasting along with butter and a marmalade, Vegemite or a jam, some cereal and some fruit. A kettle and toaster is provided in the room also with tea and coffee. I highly recommend Martin Cash motel for your next stay while in Hobart!

We wanted a cheap motel for a couple of nights and thought we’d save money here. Well, heck. This place is fabulous. All mod cons, not a noisy street, and charming staff. I wish there were a Martin Cash Motel in every city I visit.

Electric blanket didn't work the heater was on high all night still cold when we woke up

Good location between Hobart and Mona if you have a car but there is a city bus service nearby as well. Heaps of amenities close, supermarkets, restaurants etc. On a main road but noise didn't bother me, gets quiet at night anyway. Very decent sized room for a decent price, they could probably lift their game with heating, especially deep in the middle of winter, but overall good.

After hours check in at 1pm. Didn't work. Had to call Riverfront motel for assistance and get security company to assist. Security company employee was great. Then found out there was no booking even though the lady rang the day before to confirm! Over an hour later finally got into room. Very poor system. Won't be back

We had a really good experience at the Motel. We stayed at the back yard apartments and is amazing how you can avoid the noise from the route. The room was very clean and cosy, and enough big to feel free to move from the little kitchen to the couch and the bed. Bed was comfortable and the system to warm up the room was very efficient. Just need thick big towels to be perfect.

no no no... Room so smelly, unhygienic and bed has smelly bedsheets with hairs on it And blanket full of white hairs. Cleanliness zero. Toilet pot disgusting. Never go thr. Was Nightmare.

Excellent location, value for money hotel with free parking, microwave, heater, kettle, TV n fridge. The room is quite big for family (1 double n 1 single) n very clean. Only 10 min to Hobart CBD n 5 min to Glenorchy shopping mall. Next door got KFC, Fish n Chips n Pizza. Free wifi connection is also very good. In summary best budget hotel in town for family vacation.

Good cheap clean place and service from admin was really good I was actually quite happy with it tbh. Take care and enjoy your stay and the other good thing is it's close to everything which is a massive bonus. Enjoy

Crockery dirty .brown water . Toilet had a brown stain in the bowl . Beds were itchy even on top .vacuumed once a week .partially disabled had too go upstairs no rooms available down stairs .toilet seat never cleaned I picked up U T I not happy .. had too lug groceries and my mobility Walker upstairs . Never again will I stay in this motel ..grocely unclean . Gap under the door . I had too use fly spray on the carpet ..

Absolutely terrible motel, not even worth a 1 star rating. All the receptionists have their heads shoved really far up their own behinds. The service is awful, it's not the 24 hour check in it states it is, it's only open between 9am and 12pm. Most of the cleaners are beyond useless, none of the walls or tiled floors have been cleaned since the 60's or maybe even earlier. Also, for 3 days during my final weeks stay, there was no water in any of the rooms, and when it finally came back, it was a murky dark orangey-brown colour. Disgusting. Also, their is currently a darn rat family infestation, have video evidence of all of this.

A little bit out of the way of shops etc but has a pub right next door for a drink and meal. The room was comfortable and had evrything you need (except towels which they promptly got when asked) Not the flashest place but did the job with friendly staff and easy parking,

Stayed 5 nights in one of the rooms at the rear of the property.||There are many other rooms at the front of the property.||The room was a good size and spotless. Great shower, fridge, microwave etc.||Comfortable bed.||Fantastic friendly efficient staff.||Good reliable free wi fi.||Light breakfasts are delivered to your room.||Unfortunately inconsiderate, noisy guests were up yelling until 3 am on our last night.||Overall a very welcoming and comfortable stay.||Very close to eateries and supermarkets.

The services provided, breakfast, room facilities comfortable bed, extra blankets etc all very good. On the down side the ablution area needed maintenance with mould from sealant on hand basin and shower removed and broken tile in shower replaced. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good motel

I was pleased with the ability to check in any time, and the location is great, but that’s about all it had going for it. The rooms are old and outdated, the space was very cramped for the four of us, no air conditioning for the summer heat (33°C at 9pm), just a standing fan which rattled.||24 hour check-in proved awkward because it allows anyone to book a room anytime; there were guests coming in in the early hours of the morning (1-2am) and slamming doors, running up stairs, etc. I have it the benefit of the doubt after the first night of noise, but despite having besserblock walls, they are thin and you hear everything, including a blood-curdling scream and domestic argument in the room next door on our second night (at approximately 12:30am) which woke me and I feared for our safety. ||Staff were friendly but I would not stay again based on this experience - would rather pay the extra money for a quiet hotel room.

We stayed there for a couple of nights the service was great, great parking, and we were left alone - just a good experience all round. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with everything you need!

The staff are so friendly and over accommodating, I love the bbq area and the social aspect of the place. Great rooms all around. My only critique would be a stronger recycling system. And if that is my only critique we’ll done!

On a noisy road. The room was reasonably clean, but in real need of an update. The sofa was disgusting, so I really didn't want to sit on it. Stayed 2 nights, convenient location, staff were friendly. Very much a run of the mill motel. A bit crampt, not someplace we wanted to relax or hang in. Wifi was very weak/intermittent, & you had to re-log in every 4 hours. Cheap though, so you get what you pay for. They did require a credit card (not debit card) imprint on arrival, which they didn't advise until the day before we arrived by email.

Here for a week, first night was great, so I expect nothing will change from that. Bed was awesome, neat and clean, and staff are simply a pleasure to talk to.
