Brought my family here who just got off the plant from the USA, we had the BEST TIME! Service was so so helpful and friendly and the food was incredible! Was such a great way to show them the area and the amazing food we have here! Keith is a legend !!

We booked a table for 3 on the balcony via the web site. I don’t usually write reviews but we were so disappointed that I am compelled to share. On arrival we were given menu’s and taken to our table. We were then left to work out if there was table service and realised that no one cared so we used the QR code to order. Meals took 45 mins and drinks ordered by QR didn’t arrive so we asked a waiter who was clearing a table to check. No feedback after that so I went to the bar to cancel as we had finished our meals. I was told they are coming. The man at the next table asked for water and the waitress said he had to get it himself. Meanwhile there were 4 staff behind the bar chatting and hugging and no one can be bothered helping someone get water. When our drinks finally arrived and we questioned the server about why they had taken so long and the response was unexpected. She said she had to go downstairs to make the drinks and no one had seen our order come through. She then said “what do you want me to do about it?” twice with a lame “sorry” She then said “do you want your money back” a few times with some attitude so we said yes. My cauliflower salad was not as expected and char grilled chicken was exactly that charred!! We couldn’t wait to leave and won’t be back.

Steak was over cooked, parmy’s were terrible, calamari was oily. Staff upstairs were great, went down stairs for a drink after and the staff acted like they didn’t want to be there, they were rude and disengaged. Staff have been like this the last couple of times. So many better place to go than here.

Food was quickly done, fresh and delicious. We had grilled chicken. Swordfish, parmigiana and schnitzel...all very good. Silver margaritas were very good. Our server Eve was on point and attentive. Thank you Eve. 😊We enjoyed the view and atmosphere. Awesome experience!

Had booked place not busy had elderly lady who couldnt stand too long. Staff ignored us eventualy shown table. Compared to North Burliegh surf club This miami tavern is awful Staff really rude meal just would not go there again Will warn our family due on holiday close by in a few weeks to Avoid this place.( The Surf club runs circles around it)

Had a birthday lunch, was served by Tom at the bar. Service was top notch. Food was excellent we will return.

Generous and absolutely delicious. Wow what a find you might not quite get a full ocean view but the food and service is outstanding, among other things we ordered was the house gravlax, prawn spring rolls and seafood pizza. I'm not going to lie when we were heading to a pub I thought great 'over priced average food' - I will be thinking about those prawn spring rolls until I eat them again

Great area and atmosphere. Worst service I've ever experienced and to top it off the food was even worse. Chicken parmi that came out cold, raw and somehow rubbery, almost like it was barely cooked a day before. Would have asked for a new meal to be made if we hadn't already waited 1hour for our meals, over an hour for our drinks, provided no cutlery and didn't provide the lemon and sauce with my partner's fish and chips. Shameful service! Will not be offering this place a second shot at redemption.

Our family had a wonderful night celebrating 3 birthdays. The food and staff(including Evie & Sav ) looked after our every need with a great customer service and a smile. Thank you to the chefs who dished out excellent food and all the staff.

Great pub! Good choice of food and drink. Decent specials from time to time. Really good spot to watch the UFC also! Only issue I’ve had so far is the ordering system via QR. Have had to go up to the bar several times over different visits to ask if the order had been received after waiting 10 or so minutes for drinks.

Just had the worst meal and service experience here. Food was fake and disgusting Service well that was poor 3 of us waiting to put keno on and 1 person waiting for a drink. We stood there for 5 to 6 mins while the staff member was out the back eating. We were planning on staying to have a bet and play the pokies but that did not happen after that terrible experience. We would appreciate a refund on our meal as it was in eatable.

Whilst it’s a great place to eat as there is air conditioning inside and a beautiful breeze on the balcony I cannot recommend my choice of Caesar salad. I had to come home and eat a jam sandwich as all that was on the plate were a pile of lettuce leaves, a poached egg, a tiny bit of grated cheese, minuscule pieces of bacon, of which there were few, and the most rock hard croutons you could imagine. I couldn’t eat them as I was frightened of breaking a few teeth. My friends were happy with their prawn and mango salad and the Seniors’ calamari and chips.

Was a regular customer here. This place has gone south. 4 meals & only one was average Sunday last. 1. Fish & Chips : Cheap fish type that smelled foul, old with black/blood through it & extremely thick batter. Most left un eaten. Chips were cold @ start of service. This was not a Seniors serve but regular. 2. Salads: Prawns on salad mushy & poor presentation of both salads 1. Hamburger Average with cold chips.

This was our third visit to the Tavern over the last few years and it gets better every time. Our little family of 4 travels to the Gold Coast from Sydney every year and we love stopping in. The food is great, the view from the outer deck is stunning and the Staff go above and beyond to ensure your every need is catered for. (The activity packs for the kids is the cherry on top). Looking forward to our next trip, as we’ll certainly be dropping in again.

We recently had our Daughters Birthday in the downstairs 'half Beer Garden area'. The party was Fantastic - hot/cold platters were delicious & the staff were very professional & friendly ....considering the whole venue was So busy on a Friday night. A bar tab was set up for our guests with wrist bands - which made the night a breeze. Highly Recommended!

The food is well cooked, fresh, with good sized meals and deliciously filling. The staff were lovely and friendly. Great service and quick to serve and help up. The cocktails were amazing! We will definitely be returning on our yearly holiday.

I’m not one to write reviews but something has to be said. My friends and I love coming for trivia and try and support the venue by ordering dinner while we play. However, the food has always been a let down. Over the last month it has gotten to a point where it is genuinely inedible. The chips are never crispy and are soggy and taste like they’ve been cooked in old oil. Tonight we thought we’d try and salt and pepper calamari and it was so undercooked it tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. We’ve had burgers in the past where the bread is dry and old and there’s pitiful amounts of fillings. I hope to be back for trivia but I honestly couldn’t stomach another meal there

We have dined here 3 times in the past 6 months...great view off the deck however that is where it finishes. For an iconic gold coast hotel whoever is in charge of the kitchen should be embarrassed at what they are dishing up ...dishes lack flavour and care . The staff ...most look disinterested in their job and need extra training in basic hospitality. Basic serving skills and table serving etiquette and basic product knowledge all non existent. Whoever is managing this venue should have a very hard look at themselves and the whole kitchen / bar operations .

My first visit there for lunch with a couple of friends today. I don't usually write reviews but this was one of the worst meals I've had in my life and that's saying something. Great atmosphere and view from the balcony and good service so all seemed well until our lunch arrived. I ordered the mussels $35 for the smallest mussels (about the size of a small fingernail) in a sauce that looked and tasted like watery tomato soup with 2 burnt, dried out pieces of sourdough for which I had to ask for butter as there was no way I would dip into that sauce and had to eat it as the mussels in total would have measured about half a cup. My friends meals, one of fish (tiny and overcooked) and smoked salmon (store bought cold salmon) both with strange, tasteless small salad, were just as disappointing.

We booked a table there for dinner, however, when we got there we were told our table was taken by someone. Luckily we didn't need to wait long. Don't advise to bring young kids there for dinner as it's an extremely loud and noisy place. The food was just standard pub food.
