Had a great meal at the Alroy Tavern tonight. Staff were amazing! Such a lovely heritage building.

Upon entry or you can smell a cigarette smoke coming out of the gaming room. Staff are nice and welcoming. The location and setting is great. The food is atrocious for a place that’s owned and operated by a chef. There is no quality control coming out. Food is overdone and skimpy and stingy. They did offer to redo my meal though I declined and asked for it not to be charged on top of all the other food they assured me wouldn’t but let’s see This isn’t my first negative review on this place as I have visited here more than once for family gatherings not by choice. I would never choose to come here and anyone that says their food is great. Must Have taste buds in their bum I’ve never once had a decent cooked meal here This would never be my choice of venues to attend

Over priced undercooked garbage. Nice place for the family with the outdoor area but make sure you stop into oportos for a feed before hand. Don’t waste your time with there pastas and sizzling seafood plates. $52 dollars for a pea size meal and $30 for a dry undercooked carbonara

The staff were great, food was good, beer selection was average, the beer garden was relaxing. The chef was grumpy, fortunately he didn't interact with the customers much. Overall, I'd go back.

Won my first ever major on a pokies machine here. Come here every so often, not as lucky as what I used to be... They cook up a mad feed to, great for kids on the weekends

Absolute WORST pokies and game room on the planet!! Pokies don’t pay AT ALL and there is ZERO ventilation in the TINY room!! I am FORCED to smoke because there’s people smoking with no ventilation in that room. Why can’t non smokers have a gaming room too! Why are we forced to endure this AND lose money with your BAD MACHINES! Go anywhere else! At least you’ll get good pokie machines.

Visted the hotel for lunch. Ordered off the menu the barramundi with prawn squid & smoked salmon, unfortunately when the meal came to the table I looked at the fish & in my opinion the fish wasn't barramundi but a cheap fillet of basa fillet @ $ 57.00 for lunch you expect what you pay for not some freshwater crap fish that comes from Vietnam & buy it less than $ 8.00 a kg. When the waitress picked up my plate & said how was was your meal I said tell the chef that wasn't barramundi & was disappointed with meal. You would expect the chef to come & speak to me about it, unfortunately no. Never again will have a meal there again.

Alroy Tavern is our home away from home. We have our date nights here. The food is 10 out of 10 as well as the Service and Atmosphere. We bring our friends and family from overseas here. They all leave with a full tummy and a smile 😃. They say, we didn't know it is Awesome here. We will come back. We had our sons Farewell here. The staff at Alroy Traven didn't get to meet our son Luke before he was sadly taken. BUT the love and kindness, and support we received felt like they did know Luke 🙏. Luke's favourite food he would ask for, knowing where we were going was steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Best cooked steak Luke would say 😋. Lovely food and service

The pub itself is a great spot. The old building provides a much needed country feel. I'd suggest you book your table should you be having lunch. Many of the tables were prebooked, which made for limited seating for walk ins. Drinks are priced ok. No food consumed on this visit.

This was our first time here, and I am quite impressed. As you enter, you are greeted warmly and directed to whatever event, indoors or outdoors. The house itself is lovely and well set out to cater to intimate numbers or larger gatherings. We ordered the grilled salmon and grilled chicken, and both were cooked to p erfection. Our group was a large one, and our meals were brought out in a very timely manner and hats off to the cooks for their efficiency and quality that never faltered. I would definitely recommend Alroy Tavern without hesitation.

Not sure how all these people are raving about the food! We came to the tavern on a lovely Saturday night, and ordered some schnitzels. The chips were raw, the schnitzels tasted straight out of a frozen Aldi box and were incredibly thin and cardboard-like (amazing for 25 bucks!) and the side of pepper sauce (3 dollars extra!!!) was more sour than a lemon. Even the garlic bread was just soggy and tasted straight out of a box. We couldn’t finish our food. Lovely location and ambience, but the food is horrific! We left sadly disappointed.

Alroy Tavern is a beautiful old homestead that was built in the late 1880s and renovated and opened as a tavern in 2006. The food is very good, although a bit on the upper end of the price range. Plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to dine and unwind as well as a saly fenced children's play area behind the property.

There is plenty of space for a large family, the staff are just great. We enjoyed ourselves.

i love the food. just tell the filipino chefs in the kitchen that me and my family can understand what they were saying. i’m only 17 years old so i’m taking this light hearted and letting it slide but trash talking on your customers while looking like old geezers isn’t a good look “lalaki sha or babae sha” i’ve heard that one before. keep up the good work with the food tho! x

Carbonara pasta had to much pepper but was very nice

Awesome little place, service was warm and efficient, the food was excellent and cooked perfectly to order, the only negative was people were allowed to smoke very close to the dining tables and the kids playground (as in illegally close), if that was policed better it would be a 5 star review.

Food was good, sat on the verandah and it wad a lovely ambience. Staff seemed lost and irritated.

Overpriced for extremely below average food (eg. Off Halloumi, cardboard dry chicken, barely edible mashed potato and gravy that smells like sweaty gym socks). At least the garlic bread was alright.

Found this little piece of paradise right in suburbia. Although it is on a main road it doesn't change the atmosphere. Food is great and you can sit on the verandah or in one of the many quaint rooms. Highly recommend

A historic cottage used as a cozy local tavern. Lovely place with beautiful landscaping and a sizeable playground for kids. Wheelchair accessible ramps located at front entrance and courtyard. As beautiful as this place is. The food is below sub par costing a little more than your average meal

A great place for lunch or dinner. Been there several times and again today, the food there never disappoints and you can either enjoy the outdoors dining or indoors in the comfort of air conditioning.

The owner is an absolute rude pig who swears like a sailor and doesn’t know how to speak to others. I couldn’t stand to even stay here longer than 10 minutes because the staff made us feel so uncomfortable. The food looked average at best so I don’t think we missed out on much.

I don’t know what it is but the food was really bad. Usually I’m completely fine with food and nothing grosses me out but the smell of the food alone made me uncomfortable. The seafood platter was so weird, had a weird smell and wasn’t worth $45. The salmon is the think sliced smoked packaged type and only 2 prawns. I used to go here as a kid and it was great now it’s just completely fallen

Generous meal servings, good menu selection, good drinks selection, plenty of parking. Generally a nice place to stop ans water down.

Had the most amazing food tonight considering last time I was here was not the best, but everyone needs to come and eat here as it was the greatest food I have tasted in a very long time, wife had rump M/R and it was perfect with squid and it was cool to perfection, I had the godmother sniz with avocado and OMG perfectly cooked sniz with the fried egg on top with the best salt and pepper prawns, and the softest perfectly cooked cheesy garlic bread, I can’t recommend everyone to please come down and have a feed as you won’t be disappointed, great staff friendly staff asking if everything was good and ok, Micheal the chef is more than happy to talk to you and help out if a problem as he has said but me no greatest meal in a long time.
