Such a nice and unexpected find

Wide selection of cars and motor bikes. Well worth the visit.

Excellent car museum. Well worth a visit if you are into Australian and American muscle cars. Every car is in outstanding , showroom condition and polished to perfection. Gift shop has a huge range of model cars, books, manuals and signs for the garage wall. Better than I was expecting. Also has a lot of European cars and motorbikes if you are into those. I visited on a Thursday afternoon and literally had the whole place to myself.

Such a disappointing experience and waste of money. Run by unenthusiastic rude men that made us feel uncomfortable bringing our young child. Save your money and visit Birdwood Motor Museum who love kids eager to learn about automotive history

Outstanding museum with beautifully presented cars and bikes. Friendly staff and solid information about each exhibit. Lots of gifts in the shop for the petrolhead in your life. Recommended.

Excellent, if you are a car and or bike enthusiast, this place is awesome. Including memorabilia to purchase The staff are super friendly Definitely worth the visit

A must visit place to see for any age.. some vehicles you'd never see in real life are here

Great range of cars and a massive collection of memorabilia in the store

So cool, interesting and informative. Great show and selection of different kinds of cars. Recommended indeed 🙂

Bought an excellent model of diecast Monaro which was hanging off the bridge. Paid for it on Tuesday arrived on door Wednesday. Staff are professional and very polite. Must go and visit museum. I live in Hobart. Would fully recommended business 10/10.

This museum is amazing ! There are many great models of cars and motorbikes for you to see , which are kept in pristine condition. You can also buy car toys and models in the shop outside of museum.

Great collection of cars with stories

Fantastic place even as a non car enthusiast.

Nice and well-maintained. Different kinds of cars and motorcycles from old to modern.

Great evolving display of loan cars in a very pleasant environment for safekeeping of unique vehicles

I love cars

Amazing range n history of cars. Vintage cars-awesome

Nice, clean and modern building showcasing stunning Holden and Ford muscle cars. Then opens out to a large area with an awesome mix of classic cars and bikes including open wheelers. Love how close you can get. Lots of respect. Tonnes of memorabilia available and the day we got there we were lucky to see an 80 car turnout for veteran cars.

Excellent

Every display just pristine. All are restored or with pateena that was well deserved from active service! Informative notes on each display give insite as to history and manufacturers specifications and build numbers. Motorcycle displays are also well executed and plentiful. A lot of good memories were triggered from many of the cars on display

Bit pricey but I easily spent a couple of hours in there reading and looking at everything.

Finding this museum was a surprise. An excellent collection of interesting vehicles, all of which are in gorgeous condition.

W1 and W427 say no more 5/5

Wow! I could spend day after day visiting this museum. A great range (both by volume and eras) of vehicles and motorcycles, all with small information cards in front of them. The entry fee is very reasonable for the experience, and the shop is well stocked with diecast models, caps, stubby Coolers, new and used automotive books, pre-loved magazines, man cave items, and more! I sure hope to visit again. Thank you to the team for a great experience.

Great displays of cars and motorcycles. Very high quality presentation and restoration of vehicles across time. Enjoyed the experience and well worth a visit.

Enjoyed walking around looking at the cars and bikes

Absolutely brilliant motor museum with a fascinating and diverse range of cars and bikes. Would love to see you add an Abarth 595 Competzione a car no longer made but old school fun. Will be back again to see my sister in a couple of years and we revisit for sure. Wonderful and very friendly staff.

If you love bikes and cars don't miss this museum

Absolutely loved this place. Looks of motorsport memorabilia and some awesome cars on display. Great customer service from everyone. Would recommend.

Enjoyed looking at the cars and bike bought alot of gear in shop way to easy .shame they had fords lol

Wow. Wow. Wow. What an incredible place. The diversity, quality, extremes, attention to detail, the stories, rarity, display prowess, thoughtfulness - the list goes on - is simply stunning and applause worthy. If you love bikes, whether it's an array of the once remarkable Honda 4 - 750, an Ariel Square 4 or HRD. Kwaka Z 1502, or many many others, perhaps some early 19th century vehicles and bikes - hang on, I better slow down, otherwise I'll ramble like a lune! Bottom line, I've attended myriad car and bike shows, spent 25 years as one of Australia's most prolific automotive aftermarket journalists and have an undying love for all things good in the automotive world. So I believe I have at least a modicum of credibility in this arena. Bottom line; for a relatively small facility, the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania is one of the best anywhere. Alternatively, I could write a War and Peace novel on this place. Instead, I suggest is you get yourself down there and show some love!

Great collection of cars that were impactful to Tasmania. Fun visit and worth the time.

Great mix of car's, staff are very helpful and informative. The price is good, nothing to complain about here!

Some many wonderful cars, bikes and history, interesting place for all ages

Great little find. Be aware Google street address maybe wrong. Look up the website. Displays were great and provided a lovely walk down memory lane. Shop out front has some unique items.

great attraction. surprised a small state like Tasmania has such a good automotive museum to be fair. bikes and cars from the early 1900's all the way up to modern stuff, well worth a look.

Fantastic place to enjoy classic car history.

Amazing cars and bikes from throughout the ages

Loved it.

Walk down memory lane

Surprisingly good. Had friends over from SA who told me this place existed. So glad they did. A good way to spend an hour or two.

Great display and gift shop but the staff really don't want to engage with visitors at any level. Still worth a visit.

Great place to see some well kept old machines , well worth the stroll through taking your time to appreciate them all.

短暫停留,沒有特別購票入場。

Visited in January 2024 for vacation. This museum is crazy cool! The immaculately-maintained showroom and well-stocked gift shop is well worth a visit, especially so if you're into cars. Apparently the exhibits change every so often, so if I'm in town again, I'll definitely revisit to see what's on show.

It was great walking through here. My 14yo ASD boy who LOOOOOVVVES cars was in his element and almost took a photo of each display (even the fords (he loves holden))

Fantastic collection of iconic and classic cars, both Australian and exotic as well as bikes and race cars. Found the exhibit to be very clean, well layed out and able to be viewed close up. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. Great gift shop at the front of building. An unforgettable experience.

Is you like motorcar then must go in have a look. Those car is history and quality very good. Car revolutions

Excellent

Had a few mainlanders over took them there for arvo.great time

Fantastic little museum

Awesome place to visit. Great examples on display with a comprehensive selection of items to purchase. Well worth the visit and highly recommended.

Went there to kill some time as the wife was in hospital. It was $18 don't know if that was concession. Had a great range of motorcycles and cars

Trip down memory lane for car or bike enthusiasts highly recommend

This place is AWESOME!

Great pieces of memorabilia. Brings back fond memories of another time.

Really enjoyed the experience and we were lucky enough that there was a mustang club outside as well

A wonderful display of the Auto industry history. A great place to remember when......

Very small collection comparing the entry fees. Expected some modern cars like McLaren or Lamborghini. The only modern luxury car I could find was Porsche 911

Fun to see all the classic car thats part of the Australia car culture , but $18 I personally reckon its a little high
