Fantastic playground, fun for the whole family

A great spot for kids

This playground been around since 1970s. Over the years, they have made improvements and modernised the place.

Such a great park. It was a bit too big for our toddlers, but would suit kids a bit older.

Great place to bring the kids and picnic on the grounds. Also take a walk along the break water.

The best playground it’s is.

If this isn’t the best playground, I don’t know what is, felt like a kid running around this place, what a time… 🤣🤙

Good place

Great playground for kids of all ages and abilities. Has toilet facilities.

A good family day out. You would love the slides. Can get very busy sometimes but there is plenty of car parks around. Plenty of space if you want to sit on the ground but only a few covered benches / tables. (Beautiful today and not very busy).

A kids dream! Amazing playground! It's just a pity there isn't more shade. We stayed a few nights in the boat ramp carpark for $8.50 a night. Great little spot.

Great for the kids

Lots of fun to be had at St. Kilda Adventure Playground. Swings, castle, pirate ship, toilet facilities available.

very relaxing and just love nature

Good place for an outdoor bbq events or other family fun. Downside only about 3 or 4 shaded area but can always bring your own gazebo for Sun protection.

Fantastic place. Lots of things to do. Plenty of hours spent here. Definitely a good place for all different purposes.

not too bad)

best adventure play ground around, kids loved it, picnic an toilet facilities

We were unaware of this closure in December 2024 until arrival, even though we had researched it being open prior to our arrival. It was disappointing as there were several logistics involved that enable us to visit. Almost afraid to ever try it again!

Kids enjoyed it well set out worth the visit

St Kilda

Big, really really big. So much space. The playgrounds are also massive. Huge slides, swings, ropes climbing, and other play equipment - including a giant pirate ship on the sand! Great day out *if you are prepared*. If you're going, don't question this review, just do it. Ensure you bring: 1. Hats / umbrellas / sunscreen (no shaded areas). 2. Your own big cardboard box (for the massive metal slides - an absolute must!). 3. Picnic rug, food, and water (no benches really to sit at, eateries close by, or water you could confidently trust to drink - but plenty of nice grass). Do all of this and you'll have a good time!

Great place to spend a few hours with the kids

Must for kids and Adults for Adventure

Kids always have a ball there we go adventure the beach to find crabs and the tuck shop there is still great food after all these years.

Nice slides, also windy

It's good but the old equipment 80's was way better. To dangerous nowdys I suppose

Great adventure playground with lots of slides for all ages. The small flying fox was under repair, nice shaded picnic tables a d very clean bathroom facilities, highly recommended for a day out for the family.

I really enjoyed the slide in that castle. But the one right on the opposite side didn't even work. And the zip line could have a softer stop.

Great playground that caters to all kids age groups. Additional shade cover is needed.

St Kilda Adventure Playground is a fantastic place for kids of all ages to let their imaginations run wild. With a huge range of play equipment, including slides, swings, climbing frames, and even a pirate ship, there's something for everyone here. The playground is also well-maintained and clean, which is always a plus. The only downside is that it can get quite busy at times, especially on weekends. But even then, there's plenty of space for everyone to play. Overall, I highly recommend St Kilda Adventure Playground to anyone with kids. It's a great place to spend a few hours, and the kids will love it!

Amazing park! Huge castle slide 🛝 volcano 🌋 silde, private ship , around 50m flying fox and other facilities! Have BBQ and shaded seats!

Good place for kids playing.

Best places for kids lave it

Good! Just gets a bit hot, needs more shade especially the big metal slides

Always great to take the kids here, only downfall is the toilets. It's like being in jail 😅😅

Fantastic for outing.

Excellent place to camp at $8.50, toilets are clean and close by. Kids endlessly entertained at the playground.

This is a really good park, has all ages groups covered for safety and fun. What would make it a GREAT park would be a pool and splash park, because it gets stiflingly hot here. (Yesterday was 31°, today was 35° by lunchtime)

A great park, totally under used we were the only ones here. Has to be on eod the best parks we have visited so far. A pitty the beach is not swimable

Pirate ship!

Awesome playground! Kids had a ball

Love this playground especially on weekends when the ice-cream van and tram is running. Such a vibe and the kids of all ages love it. Only thing that would top it off is if they had a kiosk close to the playground you could buy some lunch. There is the tackle shop but it’s a bit of a hike with little kids in tow and the stuff can get cold before back at grass or table areas.

Playground is run down. In need of maintenance. Several swings and one of the flying foxes no longer function. 0 of 8 slides are actually slippery anymore, even with the aid of cardboard or blankets/carpet etc. Only main attraction left for kids is the large flying fox.

I have been coming here for maybe 40 years. When I was a child and now I take my children. It can get pretty busy at times but it's free and a good place to go with the family and have a picnic lunch.

This place has always been special for my family. My family have spent significant time here and events here for 4 generations. Grassed areas, BBQ spots, fishing the playground and the bait and tackle store provide so much for a family day out. Many people live spending time here and from spring through summer this place can get packed with families looking to make memories. Plenty of parking and amenities. Highly recommend!

Good

Incredible park to take the young ones to. Has so many play spaces and areas to explore from a pirate ship, giant metal tower with slides, a big hill with huge slides, large flying fox, a smaller playground for the little ones, a bodyweight exercise yard and even swings for those in wheelchairs to enjoy. I've only just moved to Adelaide recently, I wish Melbourne had parks like this when I was growing up.

Pretty good park :) needs some water play and a warning sign on the flying fox 😄

Old & needing a bit of new

Great day to have a picnic with some friends that haven’t visited the playground before.

This is an awesome playground. Not sure why it doesn't get 5 stars. It's free, it's huge and the kids love it. Could bbq/picnic facilities too.

I enjoyed using the playground even though I am not a child. I think a safety strap would be a good addition to the Flying Fox as well as a rope to drag it back up the hill. Sacks would be useful to be provided for the slides because I stopped prematurely due to the friction of my jeans. More seats should be provided and especially under the shade of bushes.

Nice place for kids and families But when it's getting a bit darker in the afternoon mosquitoes attacking you

Alot of people. But awesome for the kids and free entertainment

Fab playground promising hours of fun 🥳

It's okay but not as good as it once was unfortunately...

Cool place to take the kids. 🤩 #BrucesPlanet

Always amazing. Gets better all the time. Parking is terrible though, be prepared

Had a great day . Bbq and slid all day

Need more shade for people who can't walk around due to a disability

Plenty of stuff for kids to do, lots of slides
